Question Why no sections in the pixel 6 pro forum? - Google Pixel 6 Pro

This makes mobile viewing really annoying, will XDA fix this?

We used to have sections for older devices but this is now the norm

It's seriously stupid this new format

There's no going back. You can tap the section tab (different colors) at the forum top to filter your preference...

Yep. I had thought the same thing as OP initially. But once I had discovered what you mentioned, it became much easier to navigate on mobile.

i mean could be worse could be the xda app

Now I could be wrong here, but it appears that you are using the app (as it looks different from what I see using the website).
Regardless, the sections scrolling tab should be near the top of the main "Google Pixel 6 Pro" page here on XDA (just below the top page counter/selector).

Would make far more sense if I could click one of them to ignore as well though. I've no interest in rooting this phone so if I could ignore all development threads it would be better for me.

changing the organization of forums

Any chance of changing the forum listings so newer phones are on top and older phones are on the bottom?
Have been discussed before, donĀ“t think it will change now that our 2010 re-design is out
Most of us are used to this order

Right. I think that what a lot of people do is bookmark key forums. Or, use the phone filters to quickly jump to the phone of your choice. One more option - use the Compact View (there is a button on the top of the forum for this).
Slightly off topic * what order are they in currently ? Thanks

To the untrained eye (mine), it seems they are in the order of date of addition, newest at bottom (which is the vBulletin default).

how to see ur posts and threads??

hi all
the strange thing that saw here is that there is no option to see ur post&threads Or there is but i cant find it?
thanks.
I subscribe to any post I post in, with no e-mail notifications (you set this up in your User Control Panel). That way I can just go to my UCP and read any new posts in any threads I'm interested in, they'll all be listed at the top, if there are new replies. If the thread isn't there, there are no further discussions, but there's a button at the lower right-hand side of the thread list that'll take you to all of your subscribed threads. This is probably the easiest way to do it

Just go to the user's profile!
For example...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3238737
...where you see..
Find all posts by cutiyar
Find all threads started by cutiyar
That's it!
its not solution to search cutiyar , and its not solution to subscribe to all posts .
the button will be the great option .
thanks
Just click on your user name (top right corner) then Statistics tab(left side towards center)...
One would think that just about any resident of Iraq would have bigger problems than the lack of a one-click solution to call up all posts by a single user.
I guess there's just no pleasing some folks.
Thanks.

On the top-right corner of the website, you should see "Welcome, cutiyar."
Click on "cutiyar", and you'll be in your profile. In your profile, click on the "Statistics" Tab. Now you'll see links to your posts/threads/thanked posts.

You're welcome. Every question is a quest for knowledge, and here at XDA knowledge flows freely. Welcome aboard.

Device Sort Order

This has probably already been discussed (looks like it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=569005), but the newest devices should be placed at the top of the forum list as opposed to the very bottom.
Also, to plug the T-Mobile galaxy S 2 forum. It should also be up by now.
Thanks!

how to add favourites XDA android app

Hi guys I'm still quite new to the forums and have just purchased the XDA premium app for android but I cant seem to find how to favourite a thread so it will show in the favourites tab. all helps appreciated thanks!
It's cool man - find the topic you like, press and hold on it then choose subscribe. It'll then show up under favorites. I believe you have to from the list of topics though, not while you're actually viewing it. Hope this helps!

That is quiet not user friendly, since we have "subscribe" to receive email notifications for new replies...
Talking about confusing, eh?
yes, poorly implemented.
With such a large forum I thought favorites would be helpful to shortcut to the sub-forums I read.
subscribe to make a favorite. to me that implies I would get alerts for all new posts which I don't want. we'll see.

You can shortcut the forums you'd like.
Simply long press on it and a Create Shortcut option is the bottom option.
Also, no you won't get alerts for all new posts. The only way you get alerted for new posts, is if you subscribe to a single thread and change the option to get notified.

Hopefully this isn't too stupid of a question, but is there a search function for the app?

Disabled open in a new tab by scroll-wheel click

I don't know why but such useful browser feature doesn't really work on XDA-Developers forums. For example I see a itneresting new on the right side widget. I middle mouse button click it, but it won't open in a new tab, but instead it will open in the current tab just like I would left click it. I can give you numbers of similiar behaviours like that over the xda. That's really annoying.
Why is that happening and are you guys ever going to fix it?

Suggest you try an alternate browser.
Also try a fresh profile in case something in your current profile is the cause.
Its not working for me can you suggest me an other way ?
Does it still work correctly on other sites?
Not a Chrome user so can't really help with it.
General troubleshooting though. Try other sites. Try a clean profile.
Try other tools with the problem site.

It does work correctly on every other website. There's no "clean profile" option in chrome and I have no idea what do you mean by "other tools".
This issue happens with particular stuff, like the widget with the news on the right side of the thread view.

I tried everywhere on the page on several pages (home, threads, single thread, profile, etc.) and all worked.
Are you using the new 2015 theme? I think there were one or two links on the old style which were like that, but it should be resolved now on the new style

Just middle button pressed "XDA PORTAL POSTS" news and it still opens up on the same tab. Even on 2015 / 2015 dark theme :/
I'd actually would prefer to use the old theme either way so I could use Dark XDA Stylish theme by @GermainZ as for me it looks much better. Just a presonal preference.

I'd also would love it if you could make the new xda look an option for logged in users, just like the forums are.

We had additional google analytics code on those links, my guess is that was blocking the open in new tab option. We made this change a long time ago so this must have been long-standing.
