Google’s recently released Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are huge steps forward for the company’s smartphones. Google is finally getting serious about its hardware by offering big batteries, great displays, and a custom ARM chip called Tensor. Google even boosted the Pixel series’ anemic charging speed, although, it’s not as fast as we thought. Google has clarified how the latest Pixels charge, and the true maximum rate is not the full 30W supported by the new charger.
Like almost everything that isn’t an iPhone, the new Pixel phones charge over USB-C. The last few Pixels were stuck at 18W maximum charging speed, but Google announced the 2021 Pixels will work with its new 30W charger, which uses the latest USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) features. We all took that to mean the Pixels could charge at 30W, but Google has published a support article that explains why that is not the case.
Google’s battery explanation has a hint of Apple hand-waving. It shied away from listing the actual rated charging speed on the official spec table, preferring to give rough estimates of charging times as measured with the 30W adapter. For the record, the Pixel 6 can charge to 50 percent in about 30 minutes, which is respectable but not incredible.
According to the new support page, the Pixel 6 tops out at 21W and the Pixel 6 Pro can hit 23W. Like all smartphones, those speeds are only attainable when the batteries are mostly empty. The speed drops as the battery becomes full, which helps avoid excess wear on the cells. Google says that it designed the battery and charging system to “strike a balance between battery life, longevity and fast charging.” One way Google accomplishes that is by tying the phones’ charging behavior into the Pixel’s machine learning capabilities. Adaptive charging can actually pause charging above 80 percent or slow charging to a trickle overnight in certain circumstances.
Google’s messaging here has been lacking, but at least we have all the technical details now. If you want to pick up Google’s official charger, it should be very versatile. Not only does it support standard USB-PD up to 30W, but it also has PPS (programmable power supply) support. That’s what the Pixels and a few other cutting edge devices use to more efficiently vary voltages. So it should fast charge your Pixels and anything else with a USB-C port up to 30W. It’s $25 from Google, or $35 if you want a cable with it. Any third-party USB-PD charger with enough capacity should be able to hit the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro maximum charging speeds (based on my testing), but they won’t be as efficient.

Probably the programming wizards in the dev area will fix it. PD + PPS combined is cool. IMHO, battery health trumps all but maybe we can have our cake and eat it too. I hope.

Brother I got a similar equipment and is not as great as you pretend to be.
Sure the price is cool, you find it with 5 dollars on wholsales but I bet it doesn't have 12 Ah, if it has 10 Ah is good!
Second: the lights are not indicating the right amount of energy recharged.
I discharged completely, and started to charge with an 700mAh charger and the blue lights went on in a 2-3 hours interval and this is not possible.
Also is not possible as you say to recharge 12 Ah battery with 1Ah recommended, in just 3 hours as you mention.
This device needs like 10-12 hours with 1000mAh to make it full, and as I said the light indicators are not precise.
When I first got it, It had some power in it for test I supose, but it was showing all 4 leds lighten up. I powered my 33% Samsung Tab 2 7inch and started to charge till it reached 77% and then died!
I put it to recharge! In few complete cycles the life time will improve, but I don't think is able to recharge a 4Ah tablet 2 times! If is getting one time is perfect! Not with the tablet open, at least!
Another thing people should know is they should use their original cables, the connectors don't fit on my tab, and on an old Sony Ericsson phone. Both of them are the wrong size!
The design is nice, the price is good, but I don't think is a good battery pack!
Another thing people should know about it, is not multitasking. If you plug in a Phone and a Tablet in the same time, is dying fast, so.. you must choose!
I recommend this product for his low price! Is not so big either, but the cables and adaptors are junk.

But everything's made in China?! (j/k, I know what you mean.) Most of the stuff sold on the ecommerce b2c sites are of the Shanzhai variety).
But isn't that always the case, you get what you pay for.
When I bought my Note 8, they offered me a deal to buy the Samsung 9000mAh power bank for about 600HKD, which is about 85USD. Expensive yes when compared to the typical cheap China stuff, but then again, I don't relish the thought of battery acid exploding on my leg. Though some might. I guess.

Beast!!! :good::good: I could just say that and it would be enough. But I will tell more. For the price it is at right now, you simply cannot beat it. Nothing is close to this. Trust me I know. I have a ton of chargers. I outfitted my family and have plenty for me. But there is no doubt this is numero Uno for me right now! Most of my products are from RAVPower, the reason being is they have GREAT customer service and they ship very, very quick. I have had one charger go bad, and they immediately replaced it. Anyways let me tell you about this bad boy.
It can charge multiple devices, Smartphone’s, laptops, tablets, all Apple products and much more. You can charge three devices at the same time, yes I tried it. It didn't let me down. My laptop and 2 Smartphone’s. It charged them all very rapid and still had 30% power when I finished! Just as an illustration I charged my Smartphone alone the first time and it took 55 minutes and only took 13% of the charge. I also charged my laptop alone, it was at 50% and it took it appx. 50 minutes and it was charged fully and barely put a dent in the remaining charge. The battery's size comes in at 4.88" by 7.28", and its 0.75" thick. It comes with an AC adapter for the wall.

As phones have been getting more and more powerful over the years, portable battery packs for smartphones and tablets have been gaining popularity. There’s many different brands and variants available, and today we’re going to be having a look at a 15000mAh power bank from the company Intocircuit.
The power bank itself comes in a small box with some product information on it regarding the amperage and capacity, and inside there’s also a USB-cable and a small pouch to put the power bank in. The accessories are of decent quality and definitely are nice additions to the power bank.
So when it comes to the actual power bank, it’s made out of a combination of plastic and brushed aluminum – it really looks nice and a bit different compared to other brands. The power bank has 2 full-size USB ports that are rated at 2.4A, a MicroUSB-port that can be used to charge the power bank, along with an LED and a small LCD display that show the amount of battery that’s left.
When it comes to the actual capacity I must say that it’s pretty much spot-on, as I’ve managed to charge my Yoga 2 tablet (capacity: 9400mAh) and my Z3 Compact (capacity: 2500mAh) using it, before the battery of the power bank was fully drained. The recorded output current while hooked up to my Yoga 2 was stable at around 2A, and with a quality USB-cable reaching 2.4A should be certainly possible.
The main negative thing that I’ve to say about this power bank is the fact that it takes a long time to charge it up once drained, but that’s due to the higher capacity and other power banks such as the Xiaomi 16000mAh suffer from this as well. Charging the power bank 0-100% takes nearly a day, and therefore it’s a good idea not to let it drain completely before charging it.
So conclusion time – this is a pretty decent power bank for the price and it looks and performs great, and is comparable to other brands that I’ve tried in the past. The capacity is correct and the charging speed is decent, although charging the power bank itself takes some time. This is certainly a product that I do recommend if you’re shopping for a good power bank!

- Decent build quality, and the power bank looks and feel great.
Cons:
- Takes a long time to charge up

Depending on how much your Raspberry Pi draws, let's say 1A, I would say about 11-13 hours at most.
Nice review. It's always good to have a back up power bank with you especially during a trip.
Can you charge the battery pack at the same time as it is charging other devices?

Unboxing
The Power Bank comes with an eco-friendly packaging and basic accessories: 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x User Manual, 1x Warranty Card and the Power Bank (of course).
Its chassis is made of Plastic, pretty solid and it reminds a sort of Modular design (it isn’t modular though).
On the front, there is a Power Button with a LED, used to check the battery level.
It is pretty smart, as you can see from this image.
There are 2 USB ports available, with 5V/2.4A output, featuring the usual technology called “AIO” from AUKEY that works on the voltage depending on the attached device. Follow my next paragraph to know more. There are two types of USB inputs: Micro-USB & Lightning.
Together with the USB ports, there is also an useful (even if not extremely powerful) Flashlight that can be turned on by long-pressing the Power Button.
As regards the size, being a 20000mAh battery, it is bit bulky and heavy, but it is rare to find something smaller with the same capacity.
Efficiency
All tests have been done using AUKEY’s Cables, in order to get maximum efficiency and to avoid any possible issue.
I have tested the “AIO” USB Ports using my USB Capacitor (1A/2A), and the voltage seems to get a bit too much low on high-load. Unfortunately this is a common issue (well, it isn’t a real issue, but a limit), so you can’t expect the same voltage that you get using a standard AC charger.
I have measured its capacity using my USB Tester, and sincerely it disappointed me a bit because real capacity is considerably lower than declared. (20000mAh vs 16664mAh)
While charging, it reached just 37°C, the coolest power bank I ever tried.
Conclusions
Well...its hard to express an opinion about this power bank. It is solid, smart, but it isn’t perfect. Battery Capacity doesn’t match declared value (at least on mine) and there is no Quick Charge support, but it has a Flashlight and a Lightning input for Apple users.
So...do I recommend it? If you are an Apple user, and if you don’t mind about Quick Charge, then Yes, otherwise just go for something else, such as the smaller (16000mAh) variant with Quick Charge or other brands.

You did not consider the DC/CD conversion ratio and efficiency. The manufacturer states that the power bank has 20000mAh capacity @ 3.7V nominal battery voltage.
That's 74Wh. It's written on the case.
You discharged 16664 mAh while the output voltage was 4.85V. That's 80.82 Wh. Already higher than 74Wh.
But the DC/DC conversion efficiency is lower than 100%. It should be somewhere 85% and 90% since Aukey is using very well built synchronous converters.
So the real energy pool of the power bank is somewhere between 89.8 Wh and 95.1 Wh before the conversion.
At the nominal 3.7V battery voltage that's between 24270 and 25700 mAh.
Which means that in fact You got a much better battery than specified.
Quick charge is supported in PB-T5 ( QC 2.0 ) PB-T10 ( QC 3.0 ). These are the same power banks but equipped with quick charge ports.
Dont't expect quick charge when You purchase the only model from 3 similar which is intentionally not quick charge capable.

RavPower reached out to me to see if I'd be interested in reviewing their new 45W gallium nitride (GaN) charger. If you haven't heard of GaN yet you'll likely be seeing it more and more as it's a newer tech that allows chargers to be smaller and more powerful. The only other on on the market right now is from Aukey, which is about the size of the OEM iPhone brick but can deliver 29W via PD. RavPower's offering is a bit larger and takes a different design approach, but ups the power to 45W making it suitable for charging devices like laptops as well as our phones. I'd read about it and seen pictures, but I didn't appreciate just how small it is until I actually got the unit.
Instead of a square brick RavPower's charger is more of a card design, with a folding plug that makes it very pocketable. At about 15mm thin the charger is insanely slim, and since the Type C Port sits at the bottom of the charger when plugged in this thing can fit behind some ridiculously tight spaces. This orientation may not always be ideal as it takes up a larger footprint along the wall, but in general I prefer it to a brick that sticks out far from the wall. The overall footprint is slightly smaller than a standard credit card. Like I said, I'd seen pictures of this before but was still blown away at just how small this charger was.
The charger uses power delivery to deliver up to 45W, and can output at 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, and 20V/2.25A. Obviously the Pixels can only handle up to 18W but I also have a first gen Samsung Chromebook Plus and a Switch that can utilize the higher charging speeds. Using my USB C voltage tester I was able to confirm that the RavPower charged the Pixel 3 just as fast as the OEM Google brick (about 9V/1A) and it charged my Chromebook at 15V/2.25A.
This will be my new travel charger. It is so slim that it fits into any bag just fine and delivers enough power to charge both my laptop and phone at full speed. In fact, I just returned from vacation where it acted as my primary charger for two Chromebooks, two Pixels and a Switch. I'd love to see a dual port option so I could charge a few devices at once since this has enough power to charge two phones at full speed simultaneously. Still, as a first gen product this is quite impressive. I've used several RavPower chargers and battery banks throughout the years and never been disappointed; they have all been well designed and performed as expected. Even with high expectations, this charger has wowed me.
