After 2 weeks with the phone, I wanted to give honest thoughts on the Pixel 6 Pro. I paid for the phone and did not get a free review unit like many reviewers online. I have used man Samsung, OnePlus, and even Apple phones, so I have a fair basis for comparison. Hopefully this helps those deciding which phone to get.
The Screen: 9/10:
Everything is very crisp, color temperature is accurate, and gray uniformity is outstanding. This panel does NOT suffer from OLED image retention like 2020 models did. The screen is not quite as bright or as saturated as the Samsung, OnePlus, or Apple panels. It is still sufficiently bright for me, but others may find they need to use it at 100% brightness often.
Signal Strength / Wireless Connetivity: 7/10
When comparing to the Note20 Ultra, signal strength is not as consistent. It hovers around 2-4 db lower strength. I've not had any dropped or choppy calls, but have noticed slightly slower data speeds in fringe signal areas. The Note20 Ultra outperforms the iPhone 11 Pro Max in signal strength so perhaps it's just good vs great. The earpiece speaker is not as loud as the Samsungs either.
Battery Life: 10/10
With moderate usage, and the phone being on steady 5G or WiFi. it has about 40% battery left after 13 hours. It has incredible standby battery and barely drains at all when not in use.
Build Quality: 8.5/10
The phone feels very solid, and the weight helps give a premium feel. That said, the screen doesn't feel as solid as Samsung or OnePlus models. Like the iPhone, it almost has a pliable feel to it, which isn't necessarily a negative but takes some adjustment. Compare the overall build to an S21 Ultra or OnePlus 9 Pro and it doesn't feel quite as premium.
Camera: 9.5/10
The camera produces outstanding photos every time. With Samsung and OnePlus, one has to let things focus and adjust to get a great photo. The P6P seems much faster and more reliable. Perhaps the iPhone 13 Pro models are slightly better in some instances, but that's splitting hairs.
Speakers: 9.5/10
This phone has a deep rich sound with great bass, similar to the iPhone. Samsung and OnePlus models sound good, but lack bass. I ding it half a point because in some situations, the sound isn't balanced between the speakers.
Software experience: 8/10
Given the clean, bloat free software, the phone is extremely fast and fluid. That said Android 12 doesn't feel complete yet. Certain apps freeze up often and I do get occasional stutters. I'm sure this will be improved in future updates. While "Stock Android" has been the gold standard for many, it lacks many of the great features baked into OneUI and OxygenOS. The simple ability to customize the lockscreen and Always on Demand, or to change the font and icon shapes have all been removed. The wallpaper based color theming is a great concept but has very poor execution (It picks random accent colors unrelated to the wallpaper). As bloated and bogged down as OneUI is, one has to acknowledge the endless customization options offered, especially with GoodLock.
The extra Pixel features really make this phone such as call screening, on hold assistant, now playing, etc. Google really needs to move the power button below the volume rocker. As phones get taller, the high placement is less practical.
Overall: 8.5/10
Many of us have wanted a Samsung phone running stock Android for years, and finally we have something very close. The camera, the speakers, and the software fluidity make this phone stand out a bit, but is that enough? At $899, the phone is priced right where it should be. That said, I can't help but feeling like the S21 Ultra is a more complete and polished package and when it goes on sale regularly, it may be a better choice. A OnePlus 9 Pro running an AOSP rom would probably give a similar experience for less money on sale as well. If one isn't firmly set on stock Android, I'd say wait for the S22 Ultra.
I like the phone a lot and will be using it as my daily driver for now but it's important to know the drawbacks and quirks. I hope this helps.
Thank you for write up!
Informative review! kudos

Amen to that. I also question if I should have gotten an on sale s21 or waited for the s22, but my last phone was a Samsung and this is my first Pixel, so I'm pleased with broadening my horizons. Plus we're going to be getting feature drops for a good while, and faster updates, so I believe this phone will only get better as they address it's growing pains
Good write up

You'll get used to it, it even has benefits to shoot photos.
Since I've been a Pixel owner for a couple of years now, I've grown to like the placement. I hope that Google will never change it, since that would break my way to shoot photos.

You're not wrong, I've been using this phone not even a month and when I grab my old one I swipe from the side to go back like a moron for 5 mins until I remember it has a navbar lol
You were lucky with your network standby battery usage. It feels like I own a 3000mAh battery phone. Google offered me a replacement and I have the same issue with the new one. Imagine network signal consuming 3 times more battery as the display.

I was tired of hearing all the threads regarding how poor the quality of pictures are when taken with a Galaxy Nexus. I was also tired of the constant arguments about how the lighting wasn’t set correctly, or how I should be using a tripod, or how etc, etc, etc… Face it, if I was going to go through any of those motions to take a picture, I wouldn’t be reaching for my cell phone
So in the spirit of this, I took pictures of three simple items I had laying around my desk with both an iPhone 4s and a (CDMA) Galaxy Nexus. Both phones were set to complete auto and taken within seconds of each other to ensure identical lighting conditions. Once the pictures were taken, they were immediately downloaded. No further editing on either camera beforehand was performed.
The results:
Test #1 – “Moosejaw”

Hard to spot any differences. Sure, when zoomed in you can see the differences based on pixel density, but at 30,000 feet… it’s all the same to me.
Test #2 – “Ehpple”
Now we’re starting to see some slight differences. However, it wasn’t what I expected. To me (and I’m no expert), the top picture has a brighter feel to it, but also seems a bit washed out. The bottom picture, while a little darker, seems to be slightly sharper and more in focus.
Test #3 – “Hometown Pride”
This is an interesting comparison. My initial reaction was: “Woah, check out the first picture… the color is WAAAY off. The second picture is much more accurate!” However, if I hold the actual pop can up to the computer monitor and compare which picture is more accurate, the top picture’s color is spot-on while the bottom picture has a deeper “red” to it compared to the can in real life. BTW, I have passed all my tests for color blindness… really!
To me, the bottom picture looks more appealing… but the top picture is more accurate. Crazy!
In conclusion, I don’t see enough of a difference to warrant all the hate towards the Galaxy Nexus and it’s camera. One camera appears to make more "appealing" pictures while the other seems to better capture the "raw" aspect of the image.
If I want to capture a “moment”, the Nexus camera will work just fine for me. If I need to capture an “image”, I’ll leave both phones on the table and grab the Rebel instead. If I need to be acknowledged by anyone waiting for the 5:30PM ferry from the city back to Larkspur, I'll grab the...
P.S. I did not identify which pictures were from the iPhone and which were from the GN on purpose. This was done to avoid a placebo effect for either phone. However, if you really want to know, check the file names and reverse engineer it from there.
Great comparison. But which picture is from which phone? lol
Edit: Ok I read your last comment. Im having a hard time figureing that out with Jake and Andy.
top = GN
bottom = iPhone
Haha yeah, Jake has to be code for the iPhone though (Jake the Snake).
And Andy? obviously for Android...
=P
Did you get those Nexus pics on the first snap? How many did it take with each to get them?
The camera on the Galaxy Nexus is perfectly capable of taking great pictures and in my opinion it always does but I think what makes people write the camera off is the colour reproduction. The iPhone 4S and Galaxy SII seem to take pictures with colours that just 'pop' whereas the colours on the Nexus are duller and washed out. The vibrant pictures from an iPhone 4S or a Galaxy SII may look better visually but as mentioned by the OP, the colours are not accurate whereas pictures from the Nexus aren't very vibrant but they are accurate in terms of colour.
So people just want a camera that produces pictures that makes objects look better than they're supposed to! But you can easily use the photo editing features on the Galaxy Nexus to make the pictures similar to an iPhone 4S or Galaxy SII or maybe Google could release an update that makes photos seem more vibrant and saturated.
Faygo "rock and rye" ftw. Now I gotta go to the store because you got me craving some.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
Top one looks better on the first two and the bottom looks better on the third. I'd say it's a wash.
For those who want to get the most out of their camera it would be a good idea to make pictures made in artificial lighting (like flash) with the white balance set manually. Experiment and find which setting gives you the most realistic result.
The "mood differences" in the pictures posted by the OP are mostly because the cameras chose different white balancing modes.
Auto-white balance (AWB) is wrong often, especially in artificial lightning, even in DSLRs.
Top picture was actually the iPhone in the first two pictures, and then i switched them around for the last picture.
I like the theory on the naming convention, much more exciting than the fact that i'm Andy, and my coworker (with the iPhone) is named Jake.
I totally agree with the white balancing issue, but i tried to make this a 'lowest common denominator' style of test, i.e. everything set to auto. I guess it's fair to say that the iPhone did a better job of light balancing... this one time, under these specific conditions.
Im glad someone else got the Faygo reference. However, now that i'm not in the office, it's time for a niceSanders chocolate stout from the Detroit Brewing Company for me.

First snap for all pictures with both phones.
The iPhone 4S camera looks amazing even in dim light!
Thanks for the comparison
Nice post, OP. I think you should have taken pics in different settings though because I think the SGN does considerably better at taking close-up shots than scenery/landscape shots or lower light indoor shots (with and without flash) You should do the same thing in those conditions to see the differences. I have the SGN and plan on getting the wife a 4S sometime soon (her OG Droid is barely working for her nowadays). So I planned on doing these types of comparisons when she got her phone too .
I'm sorry to say but I'm not seeing the major difference between these shots. Why are people saying this camera is so much crap when evidence like this shows otherwise? Maybe these indoor shots play to the GN's strength, but from the outdoor shots I've seen they're all marginally close.
Sure the iphone4/S & SGS2 may be better in every regard, but surely not enough for all the crying we're seeing on here?

Exactly my point.
Imagine comparing the two phones as automobiles (sorry, I live and work in Detroit... it's a habit).
The iPhone is the Ford Focus and Galaxy Nexus is the Chevy Cruz. One might be slightly faster in a straight line while the other would get better fuel economy, but the differences are so subtle that 99% of the users won't notice them. They are both cars (cameras) for the masses.
Lately, it seems like one camera is being called the Ferrari F430 and comparing it to a 1983 4-cylinder 4x4 Ford Ranger (I drove one all through college, trust me; it's a right ****ty vehicle!)
Can you do a side by side testing the flash on both cameras? My GN seems to take pictures with a yellowish tint. Its mostly noticeable on Asian people's skin which turns out looking sickeningly yellow.
I bought my wife the 4S when it came out and I got the Nexus when it came out (from my droidX)...I agree its not that big of a difference..mostly just more natural colors that can be spruced up if thats your thing.
Bottom picyure looks better in all 3 cases. Nice to see the GN can hold its own in the camera stakes. Another 'negative' ticked off my list of reasons not to get one in a couple of weeks
once I get 8 posts it will let me post photobucket photos from my nexus and that should change a lot of minds as well....must make 8 useless posts...2 down ;-)
Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Example.
i've been testing the Note 7 camera side by side with the OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi MI 5 and Huawei P9 cameras, and while the Note 7 is slightly better, it's just very, very slightly, and it's mostly in low light setting. i don't see much difference in day time shots. i think in 2016, all smartphone cameras are pretty damn legit. so all these tech reviewers saying the Note 7 has "hands down the best camera by far", i don't agree with them. (it's worth keeping in mind all those other phones i mentioned cost literally HALF AS MUCH as the note 7)
I think I can safely retire my Sony NEX-6 now for majority of uses. The photos coming out of this camera are amazing.
Amazing even compared to my Fuji X T1.

Please fix this.
I'm impressed so far.

S6 and S7 had white balance/colour temperature issues indoors.
Also overexposure.
S7 was noticeably soft in any conditions.
Does the Note 7 fix any of those?
Waiting to see way more side by side reviews.
I had no problem with indoor white balance under LED, but since you can have so many different variants in lightning I don't think there is a camera that would do it right all the time in auto mode, but you can switch to manual WB if you want.
overexposure, sure if you really work hard on it, like shoot from inside tunel against sun, but you can use spot meter in tricky light condition to keep what you need properly exposed, but auto works fine most of the time for me.
soft in any condition: are you talking about selfie cam? Because yes, that has fixed focus and will be soft, but rear cam doesn't seem soft when properly focused and again you have control where it should be focus on.
Have you actually used any of those cams, or just read about it somewhere, because I haven't so couldn't compare.

Can OnePlus3, MI5 or P9 do underwater photography? Because I'm planning to, this weekend with N7.
Do any of those have something similar to s-pen? Because I use it everyday can't live without it and it would be nice to have other options.
Can I see the screen on other phones with sun shining directly on it? Because so far Note7 is the only screen I've seen that I have no problem seeing in full sun. But I haven't try any of the ones you mentioned.
And very very slightly better, so it is actually better?
Maybe there are reasons why N7 is more expensive, otherwise nobody would buy it? And with the discounts, free giveaways etc. maybe N7 is not as expensive as it first seem.

The camera is slightly better. Here are photos to prove it (http://www.forbes.com/sites/bensin/...better-photos-than-far-cheaper-chinese-phones)
Of all the other bonus note features you mentioned, waterproofing is the only real universal useful feature that everyone would want. Hundreds of millions of people use a phone without a stylus and they couldn't care less. Plenty of people use the one plus 3 outdoors and sees the screen fine.
Using note 7's sales numberse to show the phone's supposed superiority is also a flawed argument, since a lot of that is branding and name recognition. It's like saying nike shoes are for sure the best because they sell the most.
I'm not really bashing the note 7 here, I have the phone and I like it a lot, I'm merely saying it's probably not worth more than double the price of the one plus 3, that's all I'm saying. 450 dollars more is not a small deal. 450 bucks can buy a lot, a lot of things.
It's tough to use the note front cam after using the 6P. The front cam on the 6P is an absolute monster, typically producing photos nearly as good as the REAR camera on my wife's iphone 6.
Vs the note 7 and S7e, the selfie cam pics are noticeably much less sharp and focused. A quick google search for blurry selfie pics for the Galaxy 7 devices yields countless forums of people complaining about this.
No idea if it's the software or the actual hardware that is the problem but it's absolutely there.
I am totally satisfied with the camera. (considering s4 and zenfone 2 were my previous devices.) I guess note 7 will be enough to handle daily shots for even business purposes. Any questions?
So, what's the difference between Bokeh (on the new iphone 7...after a software update) and what our phones do now....where the background is blurry?

saturation and colors are great but oversharped a bit on my opinion
I think all photos a "yellow-ish" a bit and expose are too high in some difficult scenarios like front sun etc
If Samsung can decrease/eliminate the oversharpening part, it will be a perfect camera here.

Specs:
Android App from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zftx.wristband
Introduction
This is the CUBOT S1.
Hardware
As a whole new device compared to the predecessor CUBOT V2, this S1 features some really interesting features such as a built-in Ambient Temperature sensor, and much more. The IP65 certification is still here.
Of course this can't be compared anymore with the famous MiBand 2 being a new-gen Smart Band, so i guess this can be considered as a FitBit alternative.
Unboxing
As usual, the package is pretty small, with the minimum necessary to operate the device: 1x Magnetic Dock Cable, 1x User Manual, 1x Alert Message (must be charged before first usage) and the Smart Band (of course).
On the front there is the outstanding OLED screen, one of the best i have used on a Smart Band, and the panel has been kept touchscreen. Something really important to report is its resistance to scratches. Compared to the previous V2, this S1 looks almost like new, meaning that the quality of the front panel has been improved.
The bracelet is made of rigid (or hard, choose the word you prefer) TPU and feels comfortable enough, even though i would have preferred a more soft band with the ability to use all the space available on the wrist. (without air gaps, even though with hot temperatures this is much better)
On the back side there is the Heart-Rate sensor, the Magnetic Dock connector required to charge the device and nothing else. The design is pretty clean.
Just like on the V2, also on the S1 the whole body is made of Plastic, the only part made of Aluminum is the clip used to lock the wrist band position, but the quality has been improved a lot, it is possible to feel the high-quality plastic. This means higher protection from scratches and lower weight. But, there is also a negative point about it. It feels a bit bulky, especially for me with a small wrist.
Device
Screen
As already said before, this OLED screen is fantastic. It is monochromatic (white on blacks) and it is also bright enough for almost any usage. The surface is slighly too much reflective so under direct-sunlight you might need to cover the display with an hand.
Viewing-Angles are as great as you would expect from an OLED screen. Something they should have improved is the distance between the front panel and the screen itself, a gap is slightly noticeable reducing viewing angles a bit.
Heart-Rate Sensor
Unlike what happened with the CUBOT V2 where, due to my little wrist and issues with the bracelet, on this V1 i was able to measure the heart-rate in a much more reliable way, requiring less adjustments to get the heart-rate detected properly.
Pedometer and Health Management
This is another part that has been improved A LOT compared to the V2. Thanks to the new-gen of sensors, this one doesn't over-estimate (or over-measure) the number of steps, and it provides more data on the same screen without having to slide everytime.
Extra Features
Something unique, never seen before on a smart band, is the Ambient Temperature sensor. It is accurate, easy-to-use and nice to have.
There is also the possibility to start/stop the Music Player directly from the Smart Band.
Finally, the last useful feature, is the timer. I don't pratice any sport so i am not using it, but for those who do, it is essential.
Battery Life
Battery Life is something i never appreciate about CUBOT Smart Bands unfortunately. Just like the V2, also this one doesn't last more than 7 days without 24h heart-rate monitoring. I know, this matches what they declare on the website, but i still would have preferred at least 10 days.
I don't know if this can be implemented or not, but they should add an option to decrease the screen brightness during the night (or at the time you choose) in order to save battery. CUBOT, if you are reading this review, try to consider this idea.
Software
Thankfully unlike most chinese smart bands, this one has an Official App (available on Play Store for Android users) that works without major issues, and it has been also improved a lot compared to the V2 app.
The app still lacks Google Fit sync, but the amount of features has been increased, and most important, Whatsapp, Telegram, Facebook and other western-targeted apps are now supported.
The Sleep Monitor works fine, and can be programmed.
I can't find any serious issue with the app, it is pretty decent and stable, but i hope CUBOT doesn't keep ignoring Google Fit sync, something that some other brands are already supporting.
Conclusions
I am impressed by the new generation of Smart Bands, i would have never expected to see this amount of features in such a small device. Still, it doesn't mean that it is still a generation without issues, due to the battery life limits.
Apart from that, this CUBOT S1 is an huge step forward to the V2. Better App with native Whatsapp support, almost infinite features and an impressive build quality makes it, based on my tests, one of the best smart bands from a not-well-known brand (such as FitBit).
Hopefully they will be able to get some extra juice for the battery life and maybe add Google Fit sync, in order to make this device perfect. If it satisfies your requirements, i can recommend it with no doubts.

Like all Honor mobiles, the V20 build quality is good, this time its more premium looking with metal and glass build .The back side is constructed with others tone finish so the phone is a good looking smartphone at this price segment. When we come to the front side the screen ratio is high that give more feel to us and the bezels is very minimal on this phone.
Honor V20's Display
When we talk about the display, you are getting a 6.4-inch full-view IPS LCD display with FHD+(1080x2310 pixels) resolution, giving a full screen to body ratio. Don't like other phones, the notch is not appear here. The notch is replaced by the Hole display. The display is good here.
Honor V20's Camera
On the camera, the rear Honor V20 uses Sony IMX586 48MP sensor with a 1/2 inch pixel size. Next to the camera is the 3D ToF sensor. On the front, located in the hole drilled on the screen is a 25MP camera. The Honor V20 cameras are supported by dedicated NPU in the Kirin 980 chip, ensuring every AI task is best handled. Particularly, the rear camera will have the support of the fourth-generation ISP image processing chip and high quality night mode.
Honor V20's Battery
The Honor V20 is equipped with a Kirin 980 chip. Compared to the previous generation, this chip has 75% higher CPU performance and 46% higher GPU performance. V20 has 4.000mAh battery with 22.5V fast charger. THE NINE liquid cooling feature is also a remarkable point of V20. Moreover, the three WALN antenna design of the Honor V20 also eliminates ugly cuts on the chassis
Other impressive features of V20 include Turbo 2.0 GPU (which helps speed up devices when playing games), cloud computing with the ability to turn this phone into a Windows 10 computer and GPU Cloud helps V20 become a Super gaming machine.
I love Honor V20
Hello it could be nice to win this phone, it juste beautiful ? ? sorry for the English I'm French ^^
Sent from my Honor 8X using XDA Labs
Well...I leave a comment too. My mom needs a phone,so why not try?
Top things are great about Honor View 20,in my opinion:
1. The design of the screen, without a notch, but with a small circle for camera
2. The positioning of the fingerprint sensor...on the back, not on the front like most of the new flagships
3. The chipset,kirin 980,latest from Huawei,used by Mate 20 Pro too.
4. The battery. 4000mah battery is great, especially because kirin 980 is a 7nm processor,so it uses less power than previous models.
5. The cameras are very good for this price range, maybe better than flagships from other companies.
6. The price. For what it offers,it's a best buy
Cheers from Romania!
It would be nice to see Honor device with COSP
I am trying to think of a sob story to get people to feel sorry for me and think that I deserve to win, but in reality it doesnt work that way. Im pretty sure they pick an entrant with a random algo, or something like that. Any how Im in, never used Huawei before would be fun to try.
1. Camera
2. Design
3. Price
4. Headphone jack
5. Holepunch
I never win anything but let me try my luck
Top 5 things, simply reduced to this:
1. The display. Yes. Nowadays, everything seems to be about OLED, but hey, a good IPS panel is at least worth the same. And this is the case here.
2. The battery. 4000mAh?! Hell yes, more phones should have this at least. The Honor View 20 has it. Well done. This what we've been asking for. This should be sufficient for 2 days of usage, which is great.
3. The headphone jack. Yes, because, why ditching something, which is just working? USB-C audio is superior, yes. But there is still not much choice around for headphones. So you have to use dongles. And no one likes dongles..
4. The camera. At least according to pictures I've seen taken by the View 20, it's for example a huge improvement to my OnePlus 5. Pictures of my OP5 look weirdly mediocre compared to the View 20's outputs, which look sharp, well-balanced in terms of temperature and colors and the night mode seems to be very powerful.
5. The price, obviously. Yes, of course! I really don't know what OEMs are thinking by releasing price tags of ~1000€++. The View 20 proves that flagship features don't have to cost a third of an average monthly income. This is praiseworthy and proves that one often has to pay just for the brand's name (Sammy, err...).
This is a flag ship phone that doesn't empty your pockets! Great looks, and a huge battery. Where does the line start for those who want one of these?
Commenting to win.
I love:
the design, the back texture and the shape.
the single great camera.
the ToF sensor.
the huge battery.
the headphone jack.
the chipset whit liquid heat dissipators.
the new trend launched by Honor for hole-punch front camera.
All at an affordable price!
love the colors, the design, the overall specs, the camera and the display!
That charming blue color attracted me
Sir ,When will I receive my prize for the Honor 8x Ask the manager thread giveaway that happened three months ago ?

@XDARoni. Sir you mentioned Bluetooth headset once and Bluetooth Speaker once in the op for the second prize. Please correct it

This phone seems really cool, I love the camera quality on this phone. Would really love to have one of them
Honor View20 Phantom Blue, good size, battery design and performance.
Stuck with a Samsung S6 since it came out. A new phone would be great also. And another set of blutooth headset is never too much also. Thanks for the simplicity to enter this contest
Daddy, can I please have a new Honor phone for school?
I've been modding phones since the OG Razr days, and even though I don't do a whole lot anymore, I still consider phones a hobby. I was going to wait for the Fold5 or the Google Fold, but after doing a buttload of research (my normal M.O.), I decided that the Fold4 was ready for prime time. Throw in the fantastic trade-in deals and it was hard to say, no. As I told my wife, I haven't been this excited about a phone in a long time. I have to say, I'm impressed. Haven't had it quite twenty-four hours yet, but it's blowing me away. Obviously, the Samsung screens look beautiful. Sure, the outer screen is narrow, but not unusable. Especially if you swipe type. The inner screen? Well, that's what it's all about, isn't it? It's gorgeous, I love all the real estate, and being able to fold it up and throw it in my pocket is icing on the cake. I plan on reading more, and using it for GPS/Waze in the car is freakin' awesome! I'm really loving it. My only complaint, so far, is the sideways scrolling in the app drawer. Come on, Samsung! Continuous perpendicular scrolling is much more convenient. Thoughts? How do you folks like yours? Tell us what you like and dislike.
Dude, download GoodLock and you will love it even more.

Cool! I stopped rooting with my Pixel 6 Pro. I could ad block without root and with dark mode baked in I was somewhat satisfied, but I did miss Substratum. This is like Substratum without root. Love it! Thanks.

The fold for is such an impressive phone. I'm sorry that I waited this long to dive into the fold arena. I use the flip 3 and flip 4 but got rid of those phones and this one takes the cake. I don't think I can ever go back to a regular slab phone again.
coming from a note 9, i don't think i'll be able to go back to a slab phone. i've been holding off buying anything and for the longest time my note 9 was my daily driver. if i wanted to upgrade it, it would be something different. i was almost tempted to get the fold 3 but opted to wait until the fold 4 came out. the outer screen being wider than the fold 3 (ok, just a little bit) and the cameras were the clinchers. my wife got me the fold 4 for father's day after she saw me reading/browsing and making numerous trips to jb hifi to inspect the phone on display. the spen is fantastic and the only thing i lost from the note 9's pen is the camera bt remote and the sound it makes when i take out the pen (my son asked me to change the remove and insert to sounds of a light saber). took me a day or so of fiddling around and setting it up to the way i want it to be. it's now the same layout as my note 9 which suits me. i'm still using nova launcher with a klwp preset for the inner screen. outer screen is using just a static, black wallpaper. goodlock has proven to be very useful as the alternative to one ui's taskbar and it's provided me with an easy power off and screenshot buttons. the only shortcoming i've seen so far is sometimes android auto fails to connect with the phone. i know that an update is on the way to fix this but at the moment and easy work around is to clear up the cache from google playstore. other than that, the inner screen real estate is fantastic for browsing, reading books, vids, and all.
Running x2 versions of Cyberpunk on one device whilst also being able to download and extract saved games files from Stadia (try doing that on a system without an oen file management setup).
This thing isn't a phone, its a computer that fits my pocket!!

Me: Verizon will give me all but $99 back for my Pixel 6 Pro toward a Fold4. I'm going to order one.
Wife: You're getting a new phone? You haven't had that one a year yet.
Guess who's Fold4 is being delivered today. She had her 6 Pro for a shorter time than I had mine.
I'm gettuing annoyed with both the skinny front screen and the crease. I have an Oppo Find N and the crease is almost non-existent, as well as a Vivo X Fold. The outer display on the X Fold is the perfect size, I find the Find N a bit small now (think 2009 size) and the crease is also a hell of a lot better. Both these phones were purchased long before the Z Fold4 and neither crease is getting worse over time.
My perfect foldable would be the X Fold hardware (adding in S pen too) with the Z Fold firmware. And add in a micro SD card slot as well.
Until these phones hit the global market however, Samsung won't do anything about this.

the crease is there to get waterprotection which none of the chinese phones have, I rather have that than not, do you really think Samsung can't make a phone with non visible crease?

I'm with you. Give me the water resistance. The crease is a non-issue for me. I really only notice it every once in a while.
Is prefer the lesser crease. I don't tend to swim with my phone & both the Oppo Find N and Vivo X Fold both work fine as long as I don't dunk them in water. The lesser crease helps if writing on the screen with a pen which I do a lot...
