Please I have Xiaomi with software (11) Miui 12.5.4, however, the led notification isn't lighting up even in charging.
So, there is a problem with my device, or does this software has it?
The setting Light up when charging is ON? Does led works for notifications?
Yes

I suppose that this is the stock rom with locked bootloader. If that's the case go to Updater app and tap several times on Miui 12 logo until you see Additional features are on and then you can use the option Choose upgrade package in the upper right corner. Download the 12.5.4 rom from official miui rom download site and reflash it using this method.
Good luck, zaqm!

Have exact same problem, even though led is turned on in settings. No LED at all, even when charging. Please let me know what you did to solve the problem. Did flashing help?

Check the Notification light in CIT Menu by tapping several times on kernel version.
Thank you! I did that, and if i push the "on" tab on cit it switches off after 2 seconds. The LED never turns on.

I find it really strange that the button for led switches off automatically, as if it were somehow blocked by the software. I am really clueless.

Hello, I'm currently using CyanogenMod 11 [BR4] and I'm unsure if it's an issue with the rom or my device as they used to work before this rom.
The bottom button light is always turned on when the screen is turned off. The brightness goes down, but they're still turned on at a dimmed level.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Not from my side at least,I'm also on BR4. Well the only way you may try is to change the rom, Try any nightly or any other rom. But in my opinion it has nothing to do with Capacitive sensors. Some sort of light panel issue(Hardware Issue) :fingers-crossed:, not rom itself.

Seems the issue was to do with overclocking. Reduced the CPU speed and seems to work perfect now.
Has anyone figured out how to change the LED frequency without downloading apps like LED flow? I am looking for something like a build.prop mod.
Thanks

Also looking for it. Looks like it flashes every 20 seconds. You have to watch your phone to see that it had received a message or something.

Edit: Oops, I can't read lol :-0 I'll leave the info in the event it helps someone.
Literally just got done setting up Light Flow - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite&hl=en
You have to enable it under Settings>Security>Notification Access. Then disable it under Settings>Accessibility>Services. Enable LED in Settings>Display>Notification light, and click on Notification light and uncheck all EXCEPT downloads apps.
Kind of a pain but worth it because you can set custom vibrate patterns, LED flash frequency and color

I've just attempted this and no go.
1. Went to Settings>Security>Notification Access and enabled Lite Flow Lite.
2. Went to Settings>Accessibility>Services and ensured Lite Flow Lite is OFF
3. Went to Settings>Display>Notification LED and turned off all the apps (incoming call, missed calls, etc..) Does the Parent "Notification LED" have to be ON or OFF?
4. In Lite Flow, changed Gmail to Blue
5. Ran the test feature: No LED appeared.
6. Turned off screen and sent an email to my phone. NO LED appeared.
Anything I missed?

Parent Notification LED has to be switched on. Try leaving downloaded apps checked under display>notification light and run the test in Light Flow again.

Hey, thank you for the instructions as I looked everywhere for how to get LightFlow to work on my G3. I really appreciate this.

I saw the notification light as well and enabled it via e x kernel manager apk.
Your suggestion and instructions was spot on.
Thanks...
Works great!!!
I watched the videos. It almost appears the LED blinks in the 2nd video. But am I correct in saying the notification LED does not blink?

I'm curious about this also. If notification doesn't blink this is useless.

How did you enable it using EX kernel manager?
I've tried this. It doesn't blink. Within the software, the Charging LED doesn't have a blink option, only solid.
I'd personally set the LED to only be on when I've missed a call or text since I don't care about emails.
Yes, I remember it being the same way on the G7 Power, and then I found out that it had a LED by installing one of the custom roms which had taken the time to add some custom features allowing full control of it. If it can be solid, it can also blink, it's just a matter of programming it that way, perhaps a developer could figure it out.
I'm on the latest Global 12.1.2 ROM
I'm not having any notification led turn on, I have enable led notification but I don't see any showing up on the top left of my phone
Checking see if you guys are having the same issue ?

Did you make factory reset after latest update? I got same issue after update via zip pack. Now I have no problems. Led is little but blinking.
Manage to fix the problem. Turns out there's a big spec of dust blocking the l.e.d from showing. Make sure you remember to take a brush or smth to clear it out.
