Hi anyone in OZ.
I have a Pixel 6 Pro on Telstra, and getting extreme network standby drain, by far the biggest % of total drain we are talking 1/4 to 1/2 the battery usage. Also noticing rubbish network signals and stability. To be fair on the phone my Pixel 4XL had signal issues on the train from Brisbane CBD to South side suburbs.
Anyone else on Telstra experiencing the same?
Anyone with other networks experencing the same, especially with 5G?
Trying to determine if my phone is a dud.
Interestingly my old Pixel 4XL doing the same as it was previously only on WIFI no mobile now lasts at least 2-3 days on the battery charge. Prior to sim being removed was lucky to last a full day.
No issues here matey. All good. I am with Vodafone 5G
Happy with my battery on optus

Same problem here on Telstra. Battery doesn't last a day.
Mobile standby is 20-25% whenever I look. Even if I'm on WiFi all day.
6 Pro on Telstra. Definitely noticed my 5G connection is nowhere near as good as it was on my previous phone, an Oppo Find X2 Pro.
Unfortunately I also feel bluetooth and wifi are not as good either
I am with Boost and I do see the mobile standby goes up if the phone is on idle. Like overnight, I can see in the two hour intervals that it's at 50%, but my standby drain is around 5% over 8 to 9 hours which is in line with my other phones in the past. This is with wifi on all night.
I would say the usage for the mobile standby is high because it's always connected to a network and that costs energy. I haven't done this but if you put it on airplane mode, the mobile standby should go to zero and probably the device idle or wifi will go up.
I'm with Belong, and I'm also getting a battery drain. 10-11 percent overnight. Mobile network standby is too high.
Not getting signal issues with Telstra, but have had the network standby drain issue... The latest (today) carrier services update on play store 'feels' to have improved it significantly... Though too early to tell if fixed
Those on Telstra is this the 'operator settings version' number you are all on?...

For me, yes, same operator version
I have terrible drain simialr to everyone else. Standby drain is horrendous on wifi. Around 50% deep sleep percentage when using the phone regularly. overnight deep sleep is good and drains about 1% an hr. On boost mobile. Today's update fixed jack all
No I am on .48 release date 2021-09-30.
I read a post about a new carrier services release today , which I updated to today straight after it updated the signal jumped up. Battery drain seems to be slightly better, but still garbage. Was hoping the december update would fix some issues, but definately didn't.Think I might take this phone back to Telstra for replacement
I turned off adaptive connectivity in network and internet settings, and mobile data always active in developers options. No drain.
I'm also on Telstra, battery drain at the moment is at 32% for `Mobile Network Standy`, I was in the CBD yesterday and 5G is allowed. In general my current area is not 5G enabled
My Operator Settings version is:

Yeah I had both of these settings enabled as well after reading some others feedback some time back, still extreme battery drain, now about 40%, so the carrier update helps signal strength but seems to make the drain worse.

I was wondering if anyone had good battery consumption over EDGE network on a certain DHD radio.
I have so far tried Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 and Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19_M but I'm not happy with the consumption. On both the radios I lose about 10% battery an hour over EDGE. However, if I stay on wifi I lose about 2/3% battery an hour.
I live in Bangladesh and we don't have 3G here so high 3G battery consumption is not an issue. I just need a radio that goes well with EDGE.
PS: Should I keep the network on GSM only or GSMWCDMA Auto?
Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 should be a good one for Asia i think. Cuz im in Malaysia as this radio jz ard 5% drain the most per hour on standby mode. If youre nt using 3G, stick to GSM only mode will do

Well I'm losing 10% an hour with light usage on that radio. I imagine battery consumption with 3G is a lot less that this. I usually delete stock items I do not use like plurk, flickr, notes, twitter, and other stuff.
I have one facebook and google account on sync plus the weather and news.
Anyone having issues in the Killeen/ Austin, TX area with network. I keep having issues today with dropped calls and text messages not going thru. I get Code 3: Network Problem errors. Anyone else? Thanks in advance. Also my TWS/ Cell Standby percentages have increased drastically. Now my TWS is at
55% and my cell standby is at 16% so my battery is draining fast.

If you are running stock for whatever reason the very recent LG8 update seems to have upped the ante on battery use for standby (my personal battery charge time has decreased as well because of this). As far as network problem I did have that happen once at around 1 or 2pm today, and the phone seemed to lock up on the lock screen for a bit, but then self recovered (with no battery removal / power cycle etc). Other than that I have had no issue in the Dallas, Texas area.
Got my nexus 7 LTE on Thursday. Charged it 100% took it to work, and did almost nothing on it the whole day. By the time I got home it was at like 9% battery left. That is pretty horrible IMO. And again I did almost nothing. I didn't stream or watch videos. Just checked emails and some facebook. I don't remember my old nexus 7 wifi version being this bad. Is this normal with the LTE version? And if so if their anything I can do to get more time out of it...
If it's new return for replacement

First of all, if you want our help try to give us more information, such as:
-Battery stats (App usage and Screen on-time) --> Example
-Current rom, OS version and kernel
-Tell us which battery saving methods are you using
-Wakelock Detector stats screenshot IMPORTANT!
After you're done with all these, we'll help you for sure.
Edit: If you haven't rooted/unlocked your device, just provide the OS version.
Never mind Figured it out....

I'm sure people are aware that LTE sucks battery life out of any mobile device faster than anything. If you put your mobile network in the settings, to 2G instead of LTE huge huge improvement. Its like its only the wifi version. And when you need to use the mobile network just change it back to LTE....
That's what I heard too, 4g, LTE.. Eats more battery than WiFi. I have WiFi version, you can even turn off WiFi when your screen is off, there is an option in settings.

It's more signal strength than LTE itself. LTE uses less battery than wifi on my Nexus 5 and Moto X, but I am in a very high signal strength area.

I was having the LTE 4g+ issue on tmobile that some were reporting and found here
. I tried everything but it wasn't until I went into network operators settings and manually selected T-Mobile and rebooted that the problem is non existent for the last 6 hours! The two screen shots are before and after the fix. I'm confident this was the problem and this phone was insane before but now it's even better!
Edit:. Worth noting that my insane battery life of 7-8 hrs sot and 28-32 hour use has dropped to what a device like this should be getting meaning that the phone is truly running on real LTE 4g+ and not 3g which was obvious in the speed test results which is fine because the LTE reception and speeds on this thing are ridiculously fast.
Hi there!
justo got my mi9 SE a few days ago.
Just noticed that during the night the battery drains from 100% to 96% with just the mobile signal (no 4g data, no wifi, no gps)
In battery usage it whows that radio signal is what consumed most.
Tried changing the configuration to LTE/WCDMA but it seems that have no effect.
My 4g reception is very good.
¿Any ideas? I'm on global 10.2.2.0
thanks!
:silly::silly::silly:Just found there is a thread with a discussion about that
