Hello everyone !!! I have a 4yo moto z play with its original Android 8 rom even if I rooted it.
Lately due having too much things in memory and making it freezing randomly for 1-2 seconds while using Telegram and Instagram , I decided to do a factory reset formatting everything ( I choose to use both internal memory and SDXC card as only one memory)....
But after factory reset and reinstalled apps it still keeps freezing randomly for 1-2 seconds where if I press Telegram's Send button twice it sends two times same message....
Could that be HW fault? Or if I should do a real complete erase , how I could do a real complete erase then reinstall the original stock clean?
thanks to all in advance!
Cheers!

A few days ago I asked how to get more memory on my desire, I was using the ICS beta rom, after trying out a few things that were suggested I now cannot use the phone at all without this message of "x" process has crashed normally contacts or calendar which is then followed by process.android.accore has crashed. This seems to be a system failure but I do not have a clue why. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks
mate all i can say is wipe and reinstall , this sometimes happens did u try Titanium backup to move contacts storage or phone storage to SD , Or something similar
Hi All,
I own an HTC One X which was bought only ~4 months ago.
It is supposed to have 32GB of storage and 1GB Ram
I also upgraded it with the formal upgrade
I've got from HTC to Jellybean (Android 4.1).
After installing a lot of apps (Well, many but not SO many)
i tackled into a dead end situation in which each time I want to
update an app, it tells me there is not enough space for the operation.
What I've tried:
1) Removed several apps I don't really need
2) transferred as many apps as possible to the SD Card
3) Cleaned the cache of the applications
4) called HTC support - they just told me to return the device
to the manufacturer definitions.
All those operations weren't as effecient as I thought.
I am now in a situation whereas:
SD Card has a lot of space available (with 442MB of apps)
Under internal memory (titled as: "application Memory)
=====================
1) only 563MB of apps.
2) have 6 GB specified as Other. (What is this? HTC definitions?)
3) But only 216 MB free (Is 563MB+216MB = 1 GB???)
And those 216MB free space is a lie because each time
I go below 200MB, I got those denials again
about not having enough space.
(See Image - look for the numbers - the UI is hebrew)
Has anybody has a clue what's going on in this phone?
Had I know I'll have such a battle on every KB in my phone.
I would never choose to buy HTC One X.
It is so weird that before buying this phone
I really read a lot about it, and the only disadvantages
I saw were about the lack of SD card and remocable battery.
These are disadvantages I can live with, but the current
situation leads to a real endless frustration.
Can anyone help??
10000 thanks on any tip you can give me

Try factory reset.
Boot to bootloader by holding volumedown and power. Then select factory reset with hardware buttons.
Sent from my One X
When you connect hox with the pc, how much memory can you see?
well...

Hi,
Off course this is the obvious solution which can lead me to several hours of downloading all my apps again and possibly lose more info.
That's what I'm trying to avoid
I can see..

when I connect it to the PC I see in windows explorer only the internal SD card (22/25GB is free)
when I connect with Airdroid I can clearly see the same problem (attached is a clear screenshot - BTW I don't really have 363 apps - there are a lot of apps which come with the device and you cannot uninstall them)
I think that you can resolve with a factory reset.

Back them up first with Titanium for example?
But that would actually take space which the phone does not give you. Stupid of me... Empty enough space in order to back them up then.
I have same problem. For me 4.76 GB is used for "Others". I tried every thing, factory reset, clear storage, factory reset form Bootloader and nothing help. HTC told me, i have to send it to service. It's so sad. :S
so here is my problem.
i have a samsung note 2 (N7100) with 16 gb internal memory. I didn't paid much attention to the internal memory space, and had tons of data on it. And the phone reached a stage, where the internal memory (16gb) got entirely full. so, the phone got off automatically maybe due to unavailability of the space required to run the phone and apps.
I didn't had much idea about it, but 2 or 3 days before my phone went off, i had checked my internal memory and it was on the verge of getting full almost, i had this thing in my mind that when it will get almost full, a message will pop up on screen saying "your memory is full, please delete files." But, in vain.
Now the thing is, the phone won't start up, when you press the power on button, it will show the screen with samsung logo but won't go through. the logo will stay or the phone will automatically turn off. I am not much of a tech guy. I tried going to local repairing shops, but they all had this one thing, we can start your phone but we can not pull out the data and consider your data as gone. Data is highly important for me. I do not have any issues if the phone does not start up, but i want to extract my data anyhow, as it has my personal data (media and documents) of the last entire year, i know when i knew that data was so important than i should have backed that up from time to time. But, i do not have any backup.
i had never installled any custom os or no nothing about rooting my phone. the phone was running android 4.2.2 and i used apps like snapchat, whatsapp, bbm , document reader , facebook and few games.
i started searching out on the net for my problem, as i can not handover my device to any local or repairing guy, because they can not get me my data back for sure. than i found this thing, you can go to bootmenu than scrolldown to "clear cache memory" and maybe that could release a bit of space on the phone and somehow get my phone started and get me my data back. To get to the boot menu,
Boot Into Recovery Mode on Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Turn off your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 device.
With your device turned off, press the Volume Up, Power button and Home Button at the same time, for a couple of seconds.
When you see the recovery mode displayed on the screen, release the buttons.
i exactly did the same thing as mentioned above, but did not found any recovery screen rather found screen warning me about custom os or custom rom installation and other option read start phone normally. on selecting the first option and continuing "that i understand the risks of installing custom rom'" a screen will appear saying downloading and nothing will happen. and if i say second option the phone will start, and the samsung screen will come up and it won't go through.
the bottom line: my phone won't start up. And i won't be able to pop my data.
i had tried factory reset via boot menu earlier in the past in samsung galaxy y and y duos , there i did saw factory reset, cache wipe , ackup and other expected recovery screen. I know what the recovery screen looks like but in this case i can not get through as some odin something screen will appear instead of recovery screen. I won't find normal boot options but this two stubborn options as mentioned above here.
I don't know what to do . i would be highly grateful if anyone from here can help me out. and i already went through several threads in the forum, but none of the thread exactly matched my problem.
i also had this one idea that if i can remove the memory ic from the ciruit board of the phone and can get it fixed on other note 2's memory than maybe i could get my memory on that device and can recover. I know its dumb to think so and such a thing is not possible as everything on the circuit board is heavily linked to the board and we can not remove the memory ic. I can not get my files via hardware manipulation i know.
also, i have learned that flashing or re-installing the os, would start up my phone, but i would loose all my data and that's what i do not want. There are recovery apps such as recuva, which can recover your data, but that's still like taking a chance and is risky. and may be internal memory data can not be recovered.
Every android guy i knew all said the same thing that there is no way to get the data back even the android geeks whom i knew said the same thing. i am helpless.
I need media and document files mainly and importantly.
I just want someone from here to be a angel and push away my problem and help me out.
i do not have anything such as developer mode on in my phone, as i have already said that i am not much of a tech guy. I am a normal user without much knowledge of how to fix , root or any other thing.
please help me out.
Thanks for your valuable time in much advance.
The only hope is this thread. Be my saviour.
Well, I flashed Cyanogenmod 12.1 two weeks ago, I had a bit troubles because I'm new with this but I did it. I swept the cache and data.
The trouble is, sometimes my phones freeze, specially when it gets very hot, I have to force restart it. And sometimes, appear the message "Android is upgrading (starting application)" taking like 15 minutes and after that the phone doesnt recognize the apps on the SD at first. Slowly, the phone recognize one by one the apps but after a while freeze again and I have to force restart it again. I have to do it 4 o 5 times until phone doesnt freeze again and load all the apps with no troubles.
I moved the apps with link2sd and I dont know if I did something wrong or where is the real problem. If I need flash again the ROM or uninstall all the apps or what else.
Thanks.
I ve been in a serious mess. I just rebooted my phone yesterday and my wallpaper screen icons, phone settings got reset. Opened whatsapp and boom! it took me to the 1st time start page (you have custom ROM installed and blablabla). I realized that all of my manually installed apps data got reset. I was on Resurrection Remix-M v5.7.4-Armani [29/10]. Whats worse, the whatsapp database folder (internal memory) also was missing so i lost all my whatsapp messages. but other folders are intact such as whatsapp media, my camera pics and other things.
But thats not the only rom I ve had issues, reset also happened when I was on 2nd release on cm14 by guneet. and on some other ROM which I dont remember
Completely confused. Storage gone bad? any help would be appriciated! I dont want to backup my phone everyday!
