OnePlus 7t root HD1900 - OnePlus 7T Questions & Answers

Hallo Friends I am currently outside of domains and need root privileges. I have a OnePlus 7t model Hd1900 The phone is on the latest software, has an unlocked bootloader and the uploaded twrp only lacks root permissions The latest Magisk 23 is also installed And now I do not know if it is enough to upload the magisk zip package via twrp Can I do it through the magisk application ? And what to make copies in case of a problem with starting the phone so that it does not have to delete everything ? Thank you all for your help

Just flash magisk.apk in twrp (if it won't flash then your TWRP is too old--rename magisk to zip instead of apk)

Root HTC10 Nougat 2.41.401.03

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a way to root my HTC10 Nougat 2.41.401.03. Could you give me some ideas what i'm gonna lose after root, notices and the link, please?
Thank you very much
unlock the bootloader using HTC Dev, flash the latest version of TWRP and then flash either SuperSU or Magisk (Magisk is a personal preference).
Just be wary that flashing a custom recovery and flashing either one of those will likely break the phones ability to update OTA.

I think Magisk Root is better to have system less root, Android pay and snapchat works perfect, after flashing in magisk settings you have to turn on "magisk hide" and choose applications (android pay or snapchat and much more).
Hi, how can I install TWRP and then Magisk ?

Is X7/8.1 rootable without bootloader unlock?

Has anyone tried to use any of the root tools, such as KingRoot and One Click Root, to successfully root on X7 or 8.1?

Help with magisk patched boot image

So I have op7t, with stock oos 10.0.16HD65BA, unlocked bootloader, stock kernel and recovery. Where can I find magisk patched boot image for this deivce and do I need twrp installed? And does it matter if the patched boot image is for global and I have Europe?
I haven't touched these things since op3t and things have changed a lot, and I'm really confused, so feel free to link me about anything related to rooting/installing roms/twrp on this device.

So I installed unofficial twrp from oneplus 7t xda forums, and tried to install magisk.apk (renamed to zip) but apparently twrp seems not seeing anything in my internal storage? Is it bcs I have oxygenOs and twrp can't read the data partition? And how should I flash it now? from pc manually with fastboot or..?

adb push .zip /tmp
And you need an update to date version of twrp to flash apk.
Seriously, just use patched image method.

I was going to use that, but as I asked in the first post, do I need europe version 10.0.16 HD65BA version magisk patched image, and if yes, where can I find it? And I have the latest twrp uploaded on there -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ry-for-oneplus-7t-unified-tes.3976961/page-46

Actually ignore what I said. I am not sure if that TWRP is capable of flashing apks, but it doesn't matter. Flash the previous version which was a zip file, then just update within magisk manager.

I am due to receive my OP7T in a couple of days and already started reading. I assume oos 10.0.16HD65BA is the latest A10 for 7T.
My goal is to get latest stable Android 10 build for my 1903 EU variant OP7T - Unlock Bootloader, Root with Magisk and then Install No Limits xXx Magisk ROM.
Will appreciate some feedback how to proceed please.
From the post above - it seems that the steps are - Unlock Bootloader, Boot (not flash) TWRP.img , adb push Magisk zip , flash Magisk zip in the loaded twrp and then boot to system.
My doubts -
I have been using adb and drivers for my OP5 - will that old adb and drivers work with OP7T?
Which TWRP.img is recommended
Which version of Magisk.zip can I flash (would v22 be OK?)
Can Magisk be updated via Magisk manager at a later stage?
I assume the system will revert to stock recovery (as TWRP was only loaded, not flashed) - will this cause loss of root?
Have I missed out any crucial points / steps?
Thanks

How did you eventually do it? Please share your process.

Question Are the newer US ver still allowing, rooth with TWRP?

Seeing a lot of issues with Android 11 and 12 unlocking the bootloader and applying root. Is now not a good time to upgrade or should I wait for a boot image?
Not quite sure what you're referring to, but there are zero issues with unlocking the bootloader or rooting your device...
I can't speak for TWRP. I have had issues with it the last few versions so I had to make due without it. If I am mistaken about having twrp on the OP9 Pro on the newest LE2125 c61 update, I'd be interested.
Anyway, my response is mostly to address your question regarding root. Here are the steps that worked for me.

I have been rooted since day one on both A11 & A12. I'm running stock and haven't had a single issue.
Avoid TWRP, it's known to not work properly on A12
If you like to flash a custom ROM. Follow the instructions and you will be fine.
I am coming off the oneplus 7pro was enjoying TWRP and Magisk, with Exposed now I am hearing TWRP isn't working on anything above 10.0 ver. Guess I have to do so more research or pay Monfrio a ransom to work on TWRP.

I always just sideload. (downdload magisk apk & rename to zip before)
this way you do not need the extra boot.img I think.

If you want to install any add-ons, Reboot to Recovery, then when your device reboots, click Apply Update, then Apply from ADB, then adb sideload filename.zip those packages in sequence. (GAPPS or Magisk for example)
for example for magisk:
download the newest magisk apk version
after download, rename it and instead of .apk do it .zip
go into revovery and click Apply Update, then Apply from ADB
command is : "adb sideload Magisk-v2X.X.zip"
you must exchange X for your version.
Boot images gets patched
please note that I am not an expert, that is just what I found somewhere and use since then.
if you need more information you could also check the install instructions for lineageOS to get to know some basics: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lemonadep/install

Question Flash the Fold 3 with TWRP

Hello,
I want to update my phone, but it's rooted with Magisk. I know I can download the update and patch the new image with Magisk but, what I do not know is if I can flash the new patched image via TWRP ?
Is Odin the ONLY way or would TWRP do the exact same job ?
Thanks
