Is the CM11 ROM compatible with both the regular and Google play edition? I saw an article mention that it was, but I see nothing to confirm that anywhere (I know the model numbers are different). I don't see why it wouldn't because the hardware is the same, correct?
I don't know. Why does everyone want to run CM vs debloating their tablet? You lose access to the OEM features (for LG that's knock and qremote).

my understanding is that it is not yet been released for the 510gpe. I would not try to flash the 500 version.
I also understand that it is in the works and, if nothing else I'm setting up my machine right now to try to build cyanogenmod 11 from source for the gpe... We'll see.

You dont lose the knock feature, you just need to knock on the status bar to put the tablet to sleep. Knock on works everywhere on screen

I don't have the LG OEM features as I have the GPE. I much prefer having stock android, but I want the native USB OTG + charging support that CM11 has. That's kind of a big deal for me until Google decides to implement it themselves.
Hi Guys,
Can someone confirm if the option to change the screen mode (Adapt Display, Dynamic, Standard, Professional Photo, and Movie) is available in Note 3 Neo? The official review on gsmarena states it does have that option, but I am not able to see it on my mobile.
Model number is SM-N750, android 4.3.

+1
There is no Option for Screen Mode.
No maybe in the next release we will have it.
Sent from my SM-N7505 using xda app-developers app
Dont know...a lot of options in settings are actually missing even though they should up when you search in the settings menu. Looks like they are disabled purposely by Samsung to differentiate the two phones even further (which is stupid really as the price of the two phones is so close to each other).
I have no idea why they had to remove camera modes like night, surround etc. The hardware is totally capable of using those modes with a lower camera resolution
With all these missing options i believe we will not have support cause nobody will make a root or rom for note 3 neo.
really is a very stupid idea from samsung...
Hi all!!
I have a Chinese based company phone namely QMobile A5Classic. This phone is the same as Gionee CTRL V1. Both have identical hardware, except one, the earlier one (QMobile A5Classic) is a 2G phone but the latter one is 3G. Both have the same hardware chip, i.e MT6575 which supports 3G.
Why is this difference?
Is this due to custom kernel or what? Can this be enabled in some way?
I tried an application, MTK Engineering Mode. This gave access to hidden menus, but some of the options boggled me. I can enable CDMA/WCDMA? Is this even possible? [ see screenshot 1 ]
Another option allowed me to change Video Telephony Settings [ see screenshot 2 ]
If its a kernel thing how can I get around with it?
Please do help me clear this confusion up.
Thanks all in advance!
Hey all. I'm wondering, now with root, any chance e can get some of the good lg apps that verizon left out?
I'm thinking specifically of fm radio. I'm told the hardware is likely there, just not the app.
I'm sure there are others too. Smart settings would be nice.
Thoughts?
we have been able to get Smartworld for some time now. Thats all i know. I want smart settings too, but idk anything so far about it being usable now. Maybe with a rom, when we get those
What about modifying build prop to try and get 100GB free google drive now.
Biggest thing I'm pissed at is they didn't put OEM unlock in Dev options. We would have an unlocked bootloader right now
Now that we have root couldn't we modify a jar file of some sort to edit the options in dev menu?
Getting smart settings will be good but macro droid can do similar stuff and with root it can put gps/mobile data to off as well. I wonder if anyone tried getting FM radio working after root.

Does it have the hardware for FM? That's a huge feature I've been missing since my Droid X.

I am wondering same thing since I bought it. Not sure if there is an easy way to figure this without opening the phone itself.

I'm wondering the same thing. I know we can't install a T-Mo boot.img but maybe we could check their files (settings app, jars, etc) and push them to our phone now that we have root.
Hi, I'm new here so excuse me if I'm making any sort of mistake.
I've got a realme x2 Chinese variant and it's a great phone other than a few issues with coloros which by the way all fixable when i searched the options well.
Any way i can't find the preferred network mode 4g or 3g in options and i think I've saw that option before i deleted all unecessary apps.
So what I'm saying is does your x2 have the option or not ? And if not can you recommend an app for that because i tried a couple and they didn't work.
Thank you
Can't anyone tell me if it exists in their phone??
