Wich LinageOS is the most uncomplicated Version for T525 ? - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 Q&A, Help & Trouble

Hello
I was happy to found your Forum, because i have an Samsung Tab Pro 10.1T525 LTE with Android 4.4.2 and i will flash it to a newer Version. Actually i rooted the Tablet and installed TRWP 3.0.2.0 and make Backup. Now i will install LineageOS but read often about different problems after that . So i will search for the most stable / uncomplicated Version of it. Wich is the Version with the best Result of working without problems ? It must not be the newest for me. Especially the LTE Feature i will not loose. And wich Gapps i need for wich Processor ?
Thank you

Actually i think i will use LineageOS 17.1 latest and OpenGapps ARM64 10.0 stock. Do you think thats ok and is the Google Playstore included ?

not at all as you need ARM having a 32bit device.
Imo its better to use pico version for eliminating errors by google stuff.
I use either that or the even smaller Bitgapps.
Everything else you need from google can be installed later from the store.

How to update from inofficial to officiel ROM?

Hi,
I flashed version 14.1-2017016-UNOFFICIAL-n8013 to my Samsung galaxy note 10.1 wifi edition.
I would like to flash an official ROM on it in order to benefit from upgrades.
Looking at the lineageOS download section it seems that there is no N8013 version anymore. Should I take the one called n1awifi ? This is not clear for me.
If so, can I just flash it with twrp and keep all my settings and programs ? Or should I start right from the beginning?
Thank you!
Nobody for this one?
Thanks

Please be sure (check again, then again) which model you have... and let us know
If it is the Galaxy Note 10.1 (WIFI) n8013 you can download the stock firmware and flash it with ODIN.
NOTE: Pretty old software and no updates lately, in fact it still keeps the 4.1.2 Android Version as official.
But, this forum is for Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) [SM-P600 variants], if you have this model, please check EXACTLY wich model it is... so we can give you a link to downlad the stock firmware or the right custom (lineageOS) ROM for device.
Otherwise we could be giving you wrong advice and you'll end up bricking your device.

Hi,
Thank you for answering me, I was feeling a bit alone
On the back of the device I can read Model GT-N8010 wifi 16Gb.
I just ran an Antutu benchmark and the results are:
GT-N8013
Android 7.1.1 (32-bit)
Architecture: ARM Cortex-A9
CPU: Exynos 4412 1433 MHz
Resolution: 1280x800
size: 10.1 pouces
Renderer: Mali-400MP
Material: TFT
Density: 160 dpi
Back Camera: 4.9 mega pixel 2560x1920
Front Camera: 1.9 mega pixel 1392x1392
I hope this info is enough.
I'm currently running LineageOS 14.1.
My initial post has been moved to this forum, so I'm not sure if it's the right one.
I have TWRP as a recovery so I can easily flash a ROM, but which one? I'd be really happy if you could point me to the right one.
Thank you!

Well... between GT-N8013 and GT-N8010 only difference is software... so you can install any. Use lastest ODIN as main way to flash.
Official Firmware:
GT-N8010: http:// rapidgator.net /file/9080b81b75100c8f164859ea386ef5c1 > Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) - Recommended
GT-N8013: http:// rapidgator.net /file/96d70a410efbabe165c620587b8cd5ac > Android 4.1.2 (JellyBean)
Notes:
1. Just erase the blank spaces to get links
2. I recommend GT-N8010 since is a newer Android (KitKat)
After download, flash it with latest ODIN (3.12.3) as known. Try to do a clean install, so the bootloader will update correctly.

If you want/like newer Android versions and custom ROM, lineageOS is the best/most secure option still developing for this model... however, there are some issues since it is in Alpha Status.
https:// forum.xda-developers. com/ galaxy-note-10-1/development/rom-nougat-t3505239
There are other ROM projects too... but most seems abandoned, old dated. You can check for example the Gnabo version for GT-n108x.

After flash stock firmware with ODIN, you will lose TWRP, however... you can get it official from here:
https:// dl.twrp.me /p4noterf/twrp-2.8.7.0-gt-n8013.img.html > GT-N8013
https:// dl.twrp.me /p4noterf/twrp-2.8.7.0-gt-n8010.img.html > GT-N8010
After download, flash it with ODIN, but unclick Auto Reboot in options to flash it, then get in recovery mode before to reboot, it will ask you to swap to allow modifications, so you do. Otherwise it will be override with stock recovery and you must repeat process again.
To get root, simply copy latest SU.zip file to the sdcard and flash it with TWRP.
Once you are root, you can even try to upgrade to TWRP 3.xxx with the TWRP APK from Google Play if you like.
Final Notes:
Don't forget to use ODIN you must have the drivers for your samsung device correctly installed in your PC.

Replacing google play with microg Note 10

Hello guys,
I have looked all over the xda developing threads for note 10 and note 10 + , can someone tell me if i unlock the bootloader, twrp , and flash a custom rom, if i would be able to replace / delete google play services and use micro g instead? With magisk or nanodroid methods?
Does anyone know which rom is good for that? For example dr.ketans ? I am using a dual sim note 10 , N970F
Thank you :fingers-crossed:

You would have to use a GSI or non touchwiz base ROM as touchwiz ROMs come with gapps

Since long time ago there is One ui 2 /2.1 in samsung note 9 and 10 and s9 -s10/s20 series, correct me if i am wrong, the question is if i root a normall rom like dr.ketan's rom, and use nanodroid for example to remove the gapps and install the microg or magisk to flash the microg, will it work ?

There is a MicroG thread on XDA whch explains more in details how it works. As I understood from there, in order to have a functional MicroG environment on your phone, the prerequisite is to have a ROM with spoofing signature enabled. It doesn't matter if the ROM is OneUI based or AOSP or GSI, they need to have this cooked in.
Better have a look on the MicroG thread before you try it. And take back-up all the time, if you install TWRP.
It's gonna be tricky tho, since the phone doesn't have micro SD slot, so that you will need a PC to install via adb (so it seems).

Redmi Note 8 Custom Firmware Beginner Question

Hey dear xda-dev people,
i have bought a used redmi note 8 pro. And because i want a safe and secure smartphone i would appreciate it that the OS has no google software on it. I read that theres only an unofficial lineage os which is currently not updated anymore. What else custom firmwares are safe, do regulary get updated and doesn't have any google tools? I thought about crDroid.
How do I install custom firmwares and stuff? I'm not a complete beginner - i know adb fastboot etc. but I read that there should be a special situation with the Redmi note 8 pro. I just enabled the dev mode. My device has 128 gb and is actually running on global MIUI-Version 12.0.2. Stabil. The android version is 10QP1A.190711.020.
Can you please help me and spread your knowledge?
Greets,
newbie922
Seems you didn't even search for it...
Here is a full guide. Flash TWRP > Do a full backup > Install any ROM you want, you can find some of the ROMs here.
I searched for it but i was pretty unsure because i read that a brick can happen very easily with this phone. thanks a lot for your answer!
The phone is now succesfully unlocked. Is the
"5. LR Team TWRP" really the correct twrp for my actual android (10QP1A.190711.020) and miui version (Version 12.0.2). Stabil.
Then I will try to flash it and report. Should I Install something like an antibricktool first?
@newbie922 Do you want to install CFW or nom-CFW custom ROM?
I want to install a cfw without google apps. Also a non cfw with no google apps would be great!
Do you have something which you can recommend? Regulary updates would be cool.

Mabye Havoc OS?
That sounds good. I already read about this both firmwares. But question now is if it's safe to install the LR Team TWRP with my actual android and MIUI-Version. After i succesfully installed twrp I can install the resurrection remix or the havoc os?
Data Encryption is still possible with both of the firmwares?

For Resurrection Remix - follow method #1 from Megathread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-info-psa-redmi-note-8-pro-megathread-cfw.4056527/
For non-CFW ROM - first of all - install TWRP 3.5.1 Unified.
So you mean this twrp for example? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-black-twrp-3-5-1-v2-unified-begonia.4241633/
Concerning the megathread it's not possible to just install a cfw afterwards by flashing it? I have to downgrade to A9 etc. etc.

Gapps Android 11 for LineageOS 14.1

Hi, Can I flash the Gapps Android 11 for my Samsung Tab E Lite 7.0 (LineageOS)?
No, you should use the GApps package that corresponds to the Android version. LOS 14.1 is Android 7.1.
Why ?

I really thought the answer to this would be obvious.
You need to use the GApps package that correspond to the Android version, because that's what they are compatible with.
You can try the A11 GApps but they may not work properly. YMMV.
It can brick my tablet ?

If by "brick" you mean cause a bootloop...Probably not. The apps themselves may not work properly, as well as any apps that depend on Google Play Services.
Ok, but I'll try it on my LG Optimus Black.
