There are many tutorials in the www. Google is your friend ;-)
You need the fastboot rom from xiaomi.eu and adb platform tools...
Search for this via google...
Good luck

I think One OS is based on Xiaomi.eu but with few added features and changes.
I tried it, and it's very similar to Xiaomi.eu. but I still use Xiaomi eu for faster updates and perhaps more stability(?).

I want to mention I don't use Xiaomi.eu Android 12 yet. I'm still on 21.9.15. I will update when an Android 12 build comes out that starts to be mostly bugfree.

For me One OS is better than xiaomi.eu. A little more costumization, better battery life. For other people is xiaomi.eu the better choice, but for me is one OS.

Hi. Those versions are only available through the updater app if you have China dev or global dev ROM installed. Your device will come with global stable probably and to experience miui 9 and android 7 you will have to flash twrp and flash the dev ROM or use MiFlash with the fastboot method.

If it's from gearbest i think it will come with global stable.
About the unlocked bootloader , i don't think so , but there are tutorials to flash roms without unlocking the bootloader if you wanna hurry flashing . The best is to unlock it officially and proceed after with flashing.
MIUI 9 - v7.10.19 - China Developer Rom .. That's the final rom they have released (until now) that I downloaded..
Probably it comes with GApps and Chinese 'bloatware' (I would throw them away with Titanium backup, no problem).
Does this have some problems?? Anyone installed this specific version yet?

Hi! If you refer to the post above you , yea , i've tested the china developer rom. It does not have gapps and has chinese xiaomi apps that can be uninstalled.
If you guys want to try the china developer rom , you can download the latest version from xiaomi.eu , it's based on it and has gapps. Also , it is optimised for a smoother experience and no bloatware.
If xiaomi introduced roll-back protection on the latest miui 10 beta's, is there any way to go back to miui 9 now?

There's info on it in this thread of mine, and you can always unlock and flash custom ROMs. Just make sure that when you go back to MIUI that you flash MIUI via fastboot or MiFlash and not TWRP. Also use MiFlash to switch between MIUI beta and stable and when downgrading MIUI. But there is no problem with custom ROMs.

That's why Xiaomi suggest not to downgrade to Oreo after android pie update (miui android pie)

No it's a problem, even if you flashed firmware-less most of the functions won't work, at least that's what happened with me, no camera, no earpiece, no vibration and ofc more under the hood.
We're stuck on pie and even the custom ROMs need to be updated to the new vendor because the situation is the same.
Pie is so far so good but I'm surprised that exFAT isn't working!! now my sdcard is useless! i checked and the module is missing which is exfat.ko, don't know if they forgot to add it or what now!! also all the recoveries i tried give a problem with data and encryption so it need to be updated, other than that all is good.
Anyone tried latest xiaomi.eu build 9.3.25?

TBH I didn't try because of the problems I heard people were having. But with the original pie update I had to use orange fox recovery just to get out of encryption it was a mess. I am going to try to flash a pie rom but if you are flashing an Oreo MIUI make sure the firmware folder is not in the zip or you will brick your device.

Agreed. This seems a bit strange for me. Are you sure guys you cant simply go back to Oreo?
As long as anti is fine, it should not be a problem. Maybe there is a new mechanism now which we dont know.

Yes you can do anything if the anti version is same..
But Xiaomi recommends not to downgrade to Oreo after android pie update. (There won't be any problem as long as we use MiFlash tool)
Maybe Xiaomi will introduce new anti version for stable android pie update
Here http://en.miui.com/thread-6004916-1-1.html you can read moderator suggests not to flash Oreo ROM after updating to android pie.
Maybe Xiaomi moderator mentions same thing for our device during public beta release
For those stuck on the new miui pie, a possible solution:

Well there not doing it right because my phone's working mint with custom recovery and root. They jumped ship to soon.
Yeah sad news.
It's starting to look development will be limited as always with mediatek devices.
I'm satisfied with root and stable EU 10.4.5 except for the Google dialer without call recording.
But I'm not even sure if it's safe to update to latest stable 11 global EU. Snapdragon would have been the safer choice.

I agree. I m on stable from xiaomi.eu with magisk and twrp working perfect. The problem is android 10 in dev rom. No recovery with android Q suport for rn8 pro. I remember lots of brick in rn5 pro (SD) with rollback. And all was solved in a few weeks. Very disappointed with xiaomi.eu.

Yah the problem is there updating the hell out if this device and it's getting more & more updates. It's hard to build a development on something that's constantly changing. Right now I'm looking into cooking up a custom kernel for the RN8 pro. It needs that right now for the audio mods like viper and LKT and kernel audiator because you can't manipulate the parameters of the audio. Right now I'm happy with the stock rom it works good and it's stable. I've never built a kernel so I foresee a brick coming my way. Lol

So if it's true it was only because of Android 10, they should have just freezed development for that. Not stable 9, they removed those downloads too.
Does anyone know safe procedure to update rooted 9.4.5 EU global (not xiaomi.eu) to 11.0.1.0 ? Is it worth it anyway?

I'm very interested in trying. I have done a lot of research and downloaded Android ndk and Android studio. Prob is I run windows 10 pro and it seems developing is a lot easier with ubuntu fedora. I have a laptop modified with ubuntu already established. Haha my gf gets mad as hell when I brick phones and I just laugh and say I'll get it. Unfortunately my back up my mi mix 3 I'm waiting for my screen replacement to come in. Might be using the old modded to death lg g3.
Ah, bad news indeed. I hope it'll quickly resolved. G90T is such promising SoC
One question, is source code still broken? No new news from xiaomi? Maybe xiaomi just taking their time to give us Android 10 codes instead short lived PIE codes. Unfortunatelly, I can't help because zero experiences in programming

I am using xiaomi.eu at the moment.
So, xiaomi.eu is a custom rom that takes Chinese stock as a basis and adapts it to global use, like adding Google services, translations for many languages and removing all Chinese apps. I prefer it to the global stock because being based on the chinese stock it has the fastest updates and functions that xiaomi puts only in the chinese rom. Also because the global roms is developed by poco So not directly from xiaomi and it is not said that they include all the features that xiaomi includes on the Chinese stock.

But bootloader will remain unlocked.
If you want it locked, like virgin phone, you must use a called fastboot rom via MIFLASH tool.
Select the right rom version at XIAOMI ROm download site.
Flash it first without locking, boot your phone (you don't have to configure it, even you shouldn't because of incoming reset), and if all is good, flash it once again with locking bootloader.
