Question Custom rom that have PITCH BLACK. - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hello guys, i want to swap my MIUI for a another rom but all roms that ive looked into doesnt seems to have a full black theme, its a kinda of dark grey or smt.
Do you guys know any rom that actually have a pitch black for take advantage of the amoled display?

There are some AOSP ROMs with Theme Support, they also have Black (Black Settings & Black Notification-quicktiles)
You can also theme apps with Substratum (Root required).

Most of them have a pitch black option. crDroid, AICP, Syberia, AncientOS, ColtOS, Nusantara, Havoc are some of them. (Only on Android 11 currently)

IMHO, the best rom in performance, smoothness and stability is the Arrow 11 rom that offer an option to choose from different dark theme colors, I am currently on Arrow 12 and I am really satisfied with 0 bugs but most of the additional arrow features are no yet implemented, like this dark theme customization for example, but it does not matter for me

Any rom with skins/themes similar to MIUI colors and calling screens?

hi guys
i was wondering if any of the most popular roms like villainrom or revolutionron have any kind of themes or skins that change the design of the rom like MIUI does, i really hate the contact screen from factory android and i also lile the white design from MIUI but wanted to ask first if i should stick to Miui, the only thing is that for galaxy s2 is still in early stages, not 100% working
thanks
Try Revolution Rom and install kitchen.apk to change boot animations theams, Baseband, widgets through it on the fly.

thanks man, that was the first rom i tried, but calling screen and most of the layout is android classic design. What i meant was, a theme that changes, contextual menus, the calling screen layout again, replaces the black background , etc
i dont even know if its possible to do this but ive seen similar results with jkay themes.

How to theme op3?

I've tried to use substratum and i got something like a soft brick (black screen after reboot)
Tried hk manager theme, but it doesn't see downloaded themes..
Is there another program that i could use? I'd like to can mod toggles and nav bar icons
CM ROMs come with CMTE, which is the only absolutely stable Theme Engine in my opinion.
Substratum has never really worked well for me.

sultan's version of cyanogenmod or OxygenOS comunity build

hi ,i've been using sultan's version of cyanogenmod for 2 month now. the main reason i liked cyanogen over OOS is the theming app and i wanted to get an all black theme with accent color that would be also applied to my apps. however all the dark themes i've been using are having issued with certain apps (the most common problem i've been facing is the google messanger app in witch i'm writing in white on a white background)
yesterday on the launch of the OP3T i saw that OOS had a black with accent color "theme" and that got me interested in going back to OOS (i know that my app would be white but i prefer this to not seeing what i'm typing)
my question now is : is sultan's rom really better in performance/battery life/...? and what would you advise me to do (i like to personalize my phone but i don't twick the internal component/over or underclock anything)
Hi, I know what you mean.
I'm not sure about Sultan's CM13 version of the theme engine (the theme engine in that rom was more "basic" when I tried), but a rom like Resurection Remix has a CM theme engine that will allow you to theme "per app".
So that means that you can apply the theme system wide, then activate this floating button, go to an app and then select what theme to apply to that specific app. For examle, apply the "default" to that app only to keep it on basic colours.
I do that for Gmail for example, which I don't like with dark themes.
Give that a go, that might work.
thank you for your answer, but isn't the camera bad on Resurection Remix? i chose sultan's CM because his camera wasn't as bad as the rest of the OS (that was 2 month ago so maybe that this has changed in that time period)
Hmmm... Not too sure. I'm using a third party camera anyway (when I use it, which is not too often).
I guess best is to try out for yourself

Lineage 14.1 Substratum themes

Hi,
Just a thread to agregate all the infos about compatibilities
I'll keep this first post updated if you give me informations.
Additionnal information :
OMS Support for LOS
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/substratum/reference-lineageos-substratum-support-t3580276
Free themes :
ModernUI : not bad, but black on black on the ambient display (when screen is all B&W). Except that, I love the look.
Inversion UI : not bad, but black on black on the ambient display (when screen is all B&W). Same in the Phone and contact app.
Greyce : No problem with it, but doesn't theme a lot of things. Just have some Grey on white menus on olds app I have. I'll stick on this one for a minimal black UI theming.
Update 8th feb : Contact and Phone is themed (keeping some white areas, but OK for me)
S.i.X themes : I tried even if not supported except Pure Nexus and S.i.X roms. Bootloop...
Paid themes :
I plan to test some of them and report here, starting with the ones compatible with 7.1.1.
Swift black : Reported as really good by @Exodusche . A lot of apps themed
Domination : Reported as really good by @Exodusche . Fewer apps themed, but accent colors
LoNe 4SuBs : seems to require OMS support. Waiting for the dev answer to see if it worth to be tested
Thanks for sharing your views on it if you already tried some of them.
Using Swift on Lineage based RR and it works pretty good. Notifications still have a White Background.

There is no choice I think. Or the ambient display can't show the texts or titles (black on black), or the notification stays white...
Do you have problems on contacts, phone, inbox or Gmail app? All blacked themed with swift?
Swift Black is incredible always being updated and has options for every ROM type also Domination both have never let me down usually ROM issue if so both apply pure black Domination has accent choices where swift does not but themes more like calendar and G maps etc

Not really. Some are trying to extend that :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lineage/general/progress-support-oms-t3546841
But some themes devs make them compatible with it.
Ex from the swift black description :
Boost your stock rooted ROM with this pitch black theme for the Substratum theme engine. It fully supports Android 6, 7.0 and 7.1 / Google Pixel / OxygenOS 4 / LineageOS / OMS + it works without TBO Theme ready gapps! Please read the description below before using the theme.

And that's why sometimes, the contact app is an issue....

Did you apply all overlays? Does it not bootloop when applying the framework overlay?

I read that it doesn't theme framework to avoid bootloops.
What isn't themed? Notifications? Settings? Google?

Notification are slightly grey on the lockscreen, becomes white when expanded
Settings are black with Blue neon accent.
Google is themed
For example, Inbox : open the app, the message list is all black. When you open one, all the top is black but the message is on a white zone.
On contacts and phone, it's all black....

Only issues I've had with framework and swift black was Oxygen 3.1.4 but customs ROMs OMS, legacy (Non OMS) and OOS 3.1.3 no problems at all Domination and Compound pretty much the same
With Google plus yesterday's update, it crashes.
Had to reapply all and OK
oxygen os
my setup is oxygen os substratum theme, with oneplus 3 accents
I installed substratum and applied greyece and everything worked fine but after applying pixel theme theme stayed to greyece so I uninstalled overlay from overlay manager of substratum after that phone rebooted and stuck in boot screen...on using march03 (first build) of lineage is in zuk z1....anyway to use substratum???
Long pressing power button soft reboots. Also disabling the USB debugging allows it to boot, else just reboots & sticks on boot screen. Any recommendation?

Same here.
I boot to recovery/bootloader etc via the TWRP app.

A dark theme for stock-based ROM?

I would like to try some stock-based ROM on the G3, but I just cannot stand white/bright spaces in stock-based roms. There is a so called "dark" theme for Fulmics, but I think calling dark a theme where 80% of screen is blinding white is a joke. Is there something else or do I have to stick to CM-based roms?

Did you find a dark theme? I am after one but can only see themes dark at the top with white everywhere else like you mentioned. I'm guessing it isn't as popular on this device as it has not got amoled screen which benefits from black themes but I much prefer dark UI.

Nope. I moved to LineageOS-based roms for many reasons.

Can I also ask, what is the camera like? The only reason I'm still on stock is because the stock camera is the best and couldn't get it to work on any other rom for some reason, the auto focus was terrible but tried this about a year ago so may be different now.
