Question Android 12 ROMs - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hey there I tried recently the ArrowOS android 12 ROM but the ROM doesn't have the complete material you settings and for some reason my screen keeps kinda flashing sometimes with or without screen deeming option.
Does anyone knows if already ROM was released for our device that have the material you complete and be somewhat stable? ArrowOS in stability was great at least the 2 days I tried it but that lack of personalization made me go back to evolution x. Thanks to any answer in advance

never try beta release

same thing I've experienced, i just went back to arrow 11 since early android 12 has a lot of bugs. I still have my patience waiting for the official release

The kind of comment is really unkind bro and please don't take it bad, without testing the beta versions you won't get the stable builds, and dev will never be able to discover all the bugs without an extensive testing from the most of the involved users ... and after all, that version of Arrow 12 is really stable and smoother than Arrow 11 for me ... missing features and option is not a really big deal after all ...

Sorry but did not faced a single bug on the Arrow 12 rom OP mentioned

Why is Oreo taking so long?

I'm not asking for an ETA, as I know that's against the rules on xda.
However, I'm unable to find any info anywhere about the reasons why Oreo hasn't arrived. It was released in August, and over three months is a long time in custom ROM world.
I'm guessing it's being worked on but there are complications, but with the lack of updates being posted by the powers that be, it's hard to know. Can someone in the know tell me?
As far as i know it was the quick succession of Android 8.1 which let several custom rom developers drop Android 8 developement and jump directly onto the 8.1 train.

Let's hope 8.2 isn't released soon then.
I think many people would appreciate a blog post on the LineageOS website advising how things are progressing and what the challenges have been.
the blog post from December touched on the progress of Oreo and on skipping 8.0 to go straight to 8.1. (it's below the changelog text):
https://www.lineageos.org/Changelog-15/
However now that Android 8.1 has been released, we’re anticipating moving straight to the 15.1 branch where we’ll merge all our work done for 15.0 and finish the porting effort.

Also, a very recent news (January 1) here on XDA talks about an alpha build being available for the OnePlus 5:
https://www.xda-developers.com/lineageos-15-1-android-8-1-oneplus-5/
(I'm assuming that's from the official maintainer to have been worthy of a news).
So things seem to move into place.

PS: On mobile, so can't do much formatting.
I was about to make a thread !
Installed 3h ago, working like a charm. Battery and speed are both miles better than Beta Miui 10 ROMs.
Just remember, this is just the OTA file "From 9.6.5.0 Global Stable to 10.0.2.0 Global Stable", it's not a full ROM.

My Vince is 3GB variant.
I got around 2h 30 minutes of screen on time with 4G data on 20% battery usage. Is this stable one better than that?
I can run 14 stock apps without any reload out of the box after installing MIUI 10 beta 8.9.20... is this stable better than this?

Beta is unfinished software with bugs.
Stable is the finished software with most of the bugs fixed from beta.
Both are not different ROMs, it's the same ROM. Beta is what one calls unfinished software.

Man, I know all these, but at the end of the day it's the user experience which matters. These are not the answers to my questions.
If the unfinished one provides better experience than the finished one then there's no point in installing finished one.
Can you provide the answers to the questions I asked?
Because I'm running beta 8.9.20 if the stable is not better in performance than the Beta, then there's no point for me to flash it.
Can I flash the full ROM with orange recovery with worries of my internal storage getting wiped?
I know my apps will be gone, but my internal will remain untouched? I'm on 8.9.20

Performance is amazing compared to any Miui 10 Beta, and battery is on par with what we had on Stables when the phone came out, between 10 and 12h SOT and very good standby times

Had you flashed custom roms and Android pie before flashing this? I had flashed so my battery percent goes upto 97% only... Though it's not an issue for me.
Performance is amazing like? What's the thing u experienced better, I really want to know, as you have tried it. ?

Yup, i think i tried everything ! Cardinal, AOKP, Pixel Experience, two different Pie GSI ... Went back to stock via Fastboot to be sure Never had the charging issue though
Regarding performance, it's average, but it's consistent and above all smooth as butter, which was not always the case with Betas

My bad luck ? though 3% less battery is not a big issue.
Actually I install around 110apps with dual space feature of island app (like the dual apps) so because of this I always try to install a ROM which support around 14 apps at least in the RAM without reload. Then only at the end of setting up my phone with all the 110apps and island app...I will be sure that the phone can handle at least 6 apps in the RAM without reload according to my need. Like excel, spark, Facebook, Twitter, messenger, chrome. That's why I'm so concerned about performance which I'm asking you. As it takes enough time to setup bro. ?

Well, based on ur comment I tried stable 10.0.2, yes it was smoother than 8.9.20 beta...but not better in performance/ram management. So moved back to beta 8.9.20 ?

Oreo ,
And I cant get this update with OTA. Why ?
I am on 9.6.5.0 global stable
Dumb question here, on another thread says "The Redmi Note 5 (vince) is also known as the Redmi 5 Plus in China. If you own the Redmi 5 Plus, do NOT flash this update if your bootloader is locked otherwise your device will fail to boot because of Xiaomi’s recent restrictions!", i have the Redmi 5 Plus (3/32), i got it from Aliexpress, actually on 9.6.5.0, and i have a locked bootloader, mainly for security reasons ( in fact, for some weird corporate bul**t about the Android bootloaders in my work), so, question, can i install this, or just wait for the "official" OTA.
Yeah, same here.
I'm on 9.6.5.0 and when I check for updates, nothing comes up. Where did this OTA for MIUI 10 come from?
Is it safe to update? Are there any significant enhancements?

Global Vince is also redmi 5 plus. If you have 9.6.5.0 your phone is global so you can install it because this update is for global (not for Chinese version).

Thanks a lot, downloaded, installed, and so far so good, just a little issue with the status bar (oh my oh my, i welcome the change and all of that, but for me it seems just wrong, the 9.6.5.0 status bar look better, but hey it's just me...) For the record, the Xiaomi Downloads Page is a little outdated.

Which ROM ?

Coming from stock 7.0 and November 2017 security patch what ROM would you recommend that in the words of Apple fans 'just works' ?
Is lineage 15.1 still the best option .. .. Am I right in thinking it no longer gets updated ? Is that because all the bugs have been ironed out or because developers have moved onto Pie ?
Are there any negatives I should be aware of. ?
I've used Lineage before, it has given my old Samsung tablet a new lease of life.
Search didn't bring up any results newer than august 2018.
Thanks
You should read the threads and what people think about the ROMs. There are some really good devs out there doing great jobs, but to give you a wrap up would be to much here. I run on Resurrection Remix and am pretty happy, everything works as I need it.
I think best rom is ResurrectionRemix and bootleggers. Those are perfect rom. I use rr but i want to flash bootleggers. But if we can give pie lineageos it will be perfect.
Im cr droid user best rom ever:good:
And LineageOS if you want a basic ROM with quite good battery. I get three days out of mine - not stock levels but close enough for Oreo

Every os has its ups and downs. Try evrythng and see what works best for u. U might be a battery person or a guy who like customisation or outright performance. Or u just want something stable and light. I would suggest try lineage 16, aosp 6, rr 7 and Crdroid 5.2. One of these should satisfy you.

Given this is my 1 and only phone and I also run a business off it I'm not looking to experiment with different roms.
I just want one that will work as well as stock.....including battery life.......but hopefully have more recent security patches.
I've heard android 9 sucks the life out of batteries so that would mean lineage 16 would not be suitable I guess.

Who told u that
Coz, AFA many users of P2 are concerned, including me, having the best battery out here. If you want to experience try Crdroid, its having so far pretty good SOT and with less or almost no bugs, which can prevent it from becoming a daily driver. :fingers-crossed:

My suggestion would be to go through phases of upgrading;
Install a treble enabled TWRP that should be available in LOS 15 page.
Install LOS 15 for updating treble A only partition (check the whole process for that in LOS 15 page)
Then, install RR 7 of 3rd April for updating vendor partition to latest security patch (later versions have bugs)
Now, you are in a position to have a ROM of your choice, if you want a up-to-date ROM without many issues and minimal customization then opt for LOS 16 or Mokee Pie. If you want plenty of customization with stability then go for CrDroid Pie. If you want a ROM which is up-to-date and have plenty of customization then look for AEX Pie or Havoc 2.4 (13th April version as later versions of Havoc 2.4 are buggy). For rooting, you can use Magisk 19.0 without issues whereas, nano gApps work fine.
You will have to go through all this cycle before resorting to a ROM of your choice. However, when securing lock screen with fingerprint; don't opt for encrypting phone at start. Just select "NO" when asked otherwise phone camera and torch won't work.

Where Is The OxygenOS 10.0.0 for the OnePlus 5 and 5T?

I see that on the OnePlus forum it mentions a roll out udpate for Android 10, but I still have not seen this on my phone.

Guys, even if you download the 9.0.11 build from https://www.oneplus.in/support/softwareupgrade/details?code=PM1574156155944 and flash it, you shall see the OOS 10 update from system update. If not from system update then download the oxygen updater from play store.
Ok guys...
I'm just trying to figure out why I don't just get an update for it to the phone?
I thought by now everywhere in the world the update would be pushed to the phone already?
Are there still people not getting the update through the phone still OTA?
THANKS
Bite the bullet and manually update. I know it's a PITA; but, if there's no OTA for your phone and you want to upgrade to A10, just go for it. You'll be better off with a fresh install anyway.
Same situation in here. Waiting for Android 10 since May (when stable release rollout was announced).
Edit: I found way too many people talking about bugs on Android 10 (battery drain, fingerprint sensor delay, call recording bug). I'm not sure, but maybe staying on OOS 9.0.11 is the right call.
If someone in here is already on OOS 10, please comment on that. Thanks

Ok thanks
I suggest looking in the official OP5/T Android 10 announcement thread. Over 400 pages of complaints and questions and OP doesn't give a ****. The thread is like a disaster area. The first Android 10 update was pulled because of that many bugs. Shortly after they pushed the update again with some hotfixes but with the same version number and without announcement. Then they pulled it again.
Maybe in the next 1-2 weeks there will be an update with some fixes and a more recent security patch. Hopefully not only June like in hydrogen OS but I don't expect much to be honest. I'm almost done with OP
btw I installed OOS 10.0.0 and rooted (to install dotfix + Gcam) and I'm pretty happy with it.
also, google pay stopped working after root. I guess I'll live without it since dotfix is really worth it IMHO.

Question Best stable pixel lookalike ROM for OP9p

Hi guys! I've been last 4 years on IPhone, then, I decided to come back to the amazing android world, but I became a super noob.
I bought Op9pro with the intention of flashing immediately an android 12 pixel rom, but I confess that I'm a little bit confused.
Is it right? We only have StagOs and PA? Because I see that these two are still in initial phases, with a few problems.
Do you recommend which android 12 pure rom to use as my daily driver with no worries ?
Thanks in advance!
