I have an unlocked pixel 3 XL that was purchased directly from Google. I would like to have Wi-Fi calling on AT&T but was told they only enabled it on AT&T branded phones. Would flashing my pixel 3XL with an AT&T build carrier lock my device?
I also have a pixel 4 XL and have the same question.

Normally CDMA will not work on GSM, namely T-Mobile.
However I was told the Verizon Google Pixel will work on T-Mobile.

It is correct that the Verizon Pixel will work on T-Mobile.
Verizon 4g devices are GSM unlocked

The US versions of the Pixel from Verizon or Google are the same except for the Verizon model having a locked bootloader. They will work with any US carrier.

Has anyone flashed generic Pixel XL with factory image meant for "Telstra, Rogers, TMO, Sprint, USCC, Project Fi"? I have a Pixel XL that I got from Google at the time and using it on Rogers Canada. My phone drops LTE to 3G every time I get a phone call (no VoLTE) despite "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" being enabled. I heard unless my Pixel was purchased from Rogers, I won't get VoLTE. I though flashing the carrier specific image would allow VoLTE, but I'm not sure if hardware is compatible.

Hardware is identical. Don't know if it will solve your issue but you certainly should use your carrier specific version.

I just got a good deal on a Pixel XL for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales but I realized it is the international version. Will there be any drawbacks using the international version on AT&T in the U.S.?
Is carrier aggregation something to be worried about?

I see that nobody responded to this question. I'm considering buying an international Pixel XL also, and I want to know the same thing. Are there advantages/disadvantages with the international version? What's the situation on the bootloader, root, OTA updates, etc?

The main drawback is no support for us CDMA networks and you can't use it on project fi. It will work fine for att, it has all the band necessary for LTE and 3G

I have a Pixel 3 xl phone. I am from Romania but I can't use my volte , vowifi and 4g+ from my network. With my wife's s9 all works perfect but with pixel 3 xl nothing and my carrier told me the it's the pixel's fault. Can anybody help me?

anyone who bought Pixel 6P unlocked from Google store and using with at&t, are you getting 5G?
my wife's iPhone 12 gets 5G but Pixel is only showing 5GE which is just LTE. there is no network selection options too.

I have the 6 pro unlocked on AT&T and I have actual 5g

I have att and bought from Google, but don't have an actual 5G plan, but shows 5Ge. I need to contact them about upgrading plans to see what they could possibly offer me, if anything good at all.
