I have the original Pixel Stand. I believe it puts out 10W
Will this Pixel Stand work with the Pixel 6 Pro just at a slower charging rate?
I wonder if there will be an upgrade program. The 2nd Gen Stand is priced at $79 and is not available yet.
Yes it will work with the original Pixel stand

What does the 2nd gen stand do that OG stand won't besides the faster charging?

Nothing.
It's simply a question of 10 vs 23 Watts, even though the latter comes in with a fan on top of it, lol.
Yes to the difference in wattage but the size difference will make the next gen easier with a larger phone.
I use the OG Pixel stand on my 6 Pro. I have no desire to pay $80 for the new one. I couldn't care less about the charging speeds.
I use original Pixel stand with major complaints. I sometimes do have a hard time getting the alignment right though and the phone keeps nagging me to realign it.
I use the OG pixel stand for night time charging so speed doesn't matter at all. The second gen charger would be good at my desk where I have less time to wait for a full charge before hitting the road
I've switched to the Lenovo smart clock 2 with the wireless charger. Truthfully, the features that came along with the stands were never consistent. They would often have to be set up all over again after a few days or so. It has the same features, plus the feeling of a bedside clock and nightlight. Not sure if it charges at the same speed, but it gets me to 100% by the time I've gotta get to work!

I read the biggest difference between the g2 and n5 are the battery life..
No biggy. I just bought one of these for £19.97 from eBay.
It's a "Power Bank" portable charger with a capacity of 15000mAh.
It has two ports, 1A and 2A. 2A is actually 2.1A, which is fairly fast. It's about 0.5 cm taller and wider than the n5, so you can just sit your phone comfortably on top of it while you eat lunch or whatever.
This charged my n5 from 14% to 100% in about 30 mins while playing a light game, and used roughly 1/5 of the total capacity.
I no longer charge my phones at night. I just charge this badboy. I've had it for a week and well, I haven't worried when my phone gets to 15% battery remaining by 12:00 due to heavy use and gaming. Neither has it ran out of charge before the end of the day, and it comes with 4 different adapters for varied devices.
It's perfect.
I found this new on eBay but you can find them anywhere, just make sure the get at least a 2.1A port for fast charging.

Sorry here's the link to the one I bought and that one the other guy linked looks very chunky and ugly no offence lol but yeah it's pretty much the same thing (same power, ports and adapters)
Edit : it's been reduced to £17.97

Awww yeah!!
So essentially this, but with a battery pack!
Haha! That's hilarious but don't think that would be necessary since it fully charges in no time at all lmao

Hello everyone,
I hope to buy a power bank for my new Nexus 5.
I have made many search and I found that all power bank provide more that 1.2 A as output.
I noticed that the Nexus 5 official charger provide 1.2 A as output. So if I will buy a power bank that provides 2A or 3A, this will make problems for the phone battery ??
It is real that the important amperage charge the phone very fast, but this will not make problems for the battery ??
Ive got problems with the nexus 5's battery life aswell.
Now I'm using franco kernel and greenify and some other simple battery saving methods (no vibrate on key press, ...)
Feels like my battery life tripled it's juice!

Power supply life is an issue for everyone modern touch screen phones, besides the Nexus 5. Handsets increasingly becoming thinner, displays pack in additional pixels than ever, mobile systems are getting more source intensive, and battery power technology basically can’t sustain. The issue is additional evident using some smartphones than it's in some others, however, and the actual Nexus 5 confirms itself on the list of worst performers we've got tested lately with regards to battery lifetime.
The best feature I have ever had on a smartphone was a power saving feature from the HTC one.
So simple but amazing at saving battery life.
It turned off the data connection when you were not using it.
So simple.

Proper testing conditions disagrees with you. You'd be hard pressed to find a more efficient quad core 2300 mAh phone ever made. The G2's 3000 mAh it can not match though.

Well, it would be better to answer his question, than to say that.
I would rate it 8/10. It the 10,400 mAH one.
Its been a year since I bought it and its still going strong. No issues at all. I am still able to charge my Mi3 at least twice.
I have the 10,400mAh one, 10/10 for meeting its specs.
However, it weighs over 250g - 1/4 kilo! Also very bulky.
If you want/need 10,000mAh, nothing can be done about the weight or bulk.
But I would recommend the 5,000mAh variant, with a form factor like a phone and similar weight. Bought one for the wife, wish I had that one myself now...
10000mAh on 3.6V, 7000mAh on 5V...
Using 3 years positioning like 10400mAh battery - no any problems!
Stable charge of my Mi3 with 3050mAh battery for 2 times!

Its awesome still working great after 2 years of use.
I would rate 9/10.
As well as a 10,000mah battery Ive used for over a year which outperforms any other battery that I've bought, I also have a 10,000mah MF885 4G wifi hotpost and it is honestly the coolest mobile product i've ever owned. I've had situations where I want to do something at school like throw the output of my 12" ipad thru reflector on my macbook onto the projector so kids can write on the ipad pro in front of the whole class while also streaming the content they're working on from google drive but the school wifi isn't fast enough for the local mirroring so I use the MF885 and I pull 50mb/s over LTE while also getting seamless wireless desktop mirroring, and if i turn off the macbook display while it's outputting to the projector I can do this all day long and still go home with over 50% charge on all my devices, including my Mi4LTE which I use to film and photograph and charge off the other battery. When I go to the countryside to visit my wife's family, I chain the two xiaomi batteries together and provide wifi to the house for weeks without even plugging anything in. I rate Xiaomi batteries above anything for reliability and usefulness. My life wouldn't function without them.
Phone been changing 5 hrs still says needs 45mins wtf. Anyone else have this issue?

Time to pony up $80 for the Pixel Stand! Could wait for the $50 credit to hit your account if you're patient .
That's actually what I'm doing waiting for the credit. $80 for a stand is craziness. Might wait to see if they have a good deal on Black Friday or cyber Monday.
I have a Belkin F8M747 and it charges pretty fast. Was pretty inexpensive as well like $29 at Best Buy.
Edit: Also, if you pre-ordered you could use the $50 credit from Google Store to get the stand.

I got the nanami fast charge off of Amazon. It was just over $20 with a plug adapter and less than $20 if you used your own.
I bought the Pixel Stand for the bedroom for the additional features and for my home and work office, I bought the Nanami version. It charges pretty fast.

I agree with you that $80 for a stand is crazy. I could see 60-65 at most to be honest for what it offers.

Samsung charged the same for their branded fash charger and all it did was charge. The Pixel Stand has a few tricks up it's sleeve, but certainly not $80 worth. As I've said, I have one for the bedside, and two much cheaper ones for my home and work office.
I don't remember any Samsung costing $80 and I have everyone except the dual one including the convertible and special edition.
My friend purchased one a couple of years ago. It was a round puck that slid up to allow you to stand your phone up. It was $80. https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Certified-Charge-Wireless-Charger/dp/B0797F2V5C this is it. It's currently on sale and it's originally $69. I remember it for about $80 at T-Mobile a few years ago.
Yeah I have one like that it's the convertible wrapped in leather. I thought I paid $70 for it. But hell that was note 7 days. Lol
Also look a tiny bit different design
Yeah going to have to save up for some pixel stands. Both my Samsung wireless chargers and the one I have installed in my car only charge at 430ma max. On my one hour drive to work my phone only charges 1% lol
Hopefully I can rip out the internals for the Pixel stand and mod them to fit in my car so I can have fast wireless charging.
@Mech8...can you try your Samsung Fast wireless charger again? I just tried mine again and it charged rapidly. I went from 88% to 100% in no time. Plus the lockscreen actually said "charging rapidly". Let me know what yours does.
For what it's worth. I have the Mophie Wireless Charge Pad (Amazon link). It charges at 7.5W and I can confirm that the Pixel 3 XL charges rapidly with it. It's still not going to be as fast as a 10W charger but it still charges the phone from around 30% to full in just over an hour.
It will hold me over until my Google Pixel Stand arrives this week.

Mine always said charging rapidly except it would say fully charged in 4hrs 51mins etc. It always does seem to charge faster if u put it on with high battery. But put it on when u have very low battery and it takes forever
HI guys. I'm very interested in buying this 6000 battery? and i wanna know if its a good legit battery for my 20x.

And how do you came to your conclusion?
It comes with a 5000 mAh battery, right?
This one is 6000... how could it possible be legit!!! The manufacturer squeezes in as much battery as is safe and possible!
Replace with OEM only.

If it was a compatible graphene cell I be tempted but otherwise it's a high risk venture.
When an Li fails it's not a pretty picture and can easily destroy the phone.

Yes a graphene battery would be ideal if one were compatible for the 20X. Amazon sells graphene batteries but how would one make them compatible inside the phone takes guesswork.

The power controller/hardware as well as firmware would likely be incompatible.
You would need to modify the battery connection as well. If you could find one with the right dimensions the phone would be likely incapable of super fast charging it.
Be nice if a company made retrofits for older phones but this seems unlikely.
So... keep throwing Li's at it
I may go to replacing them every 6-12 months. The ignorance/fear factor is gone in me. Routine maintenance now.

Yeah I hear you. Honestly I dont mind replacing my 20x's battery. But I'm headed down that end of the road for the phone for sure as its showing its age and wrinkles. It may be time to replace it with another phone with better, up to date specs as I'm eyeing the black shark 3 pro and note 20.
The 2 issues with the BS3 pro are the camera and battery. In reviews its cam isnt that good which is a downer and the battery drains fast despite its 5000 mah capacity. The Note 20 on the other hand has a very sharp screen but its still small relative to the 20X.
I'm caught between a rock and a hard place in deciding which phone is best. Ideally if there were an ultra crisp amoled phone with the same screen size and aspect ratio as the 20X I'd jump at the chance of buying it in a heartbeat.

It doesn't support 27w charging. It comes with an 18w charger but is capped at 10.5w I believe.
Definitely go for the 2XL over the 3. There are a ton of reports that the 3 is bricking all over the place out of nowhere. Plus, imo, the 2XL is better anyway. I have one and it's still running great. The 3 is probably the worst in the series so far, imo.
Pixel 2 xl supports upto 10.5W. 1hr charge will take you to 75%
Full charge 2hrs 20minutes
Pixel 2 xl has great battery when compared to pixel 3. So go for it.
