hello guys, i'm trying to install a fakegps on oneplus 7t, the simple process i do on samsung is, flash twrp, clean data, install dm verify, magisk root, start the device, hide magisk, protect the FakeGps App through magisk, I make a smali patcher module, install the module, move the Fakegps app to the system, restart the device and it's ready, but I'm trying to do the same in this oneplus 7t, the process is the same, but when it's time to play the fakegps app for system I can't at all because I don't have space on the system, I've tried using the "MT MANAGER" to free some space but without success, does anyone know a method that I can?
Use magisk app systemizer or whatever the module is called.
Yeah but the problem is, the system have not space mate, how I get some free space on system, I have trying use MT but I have not permission for move or deleting nothing, I have chance to flash any custom rom with some system space? can help me with that?

Space is unrelated if you use the module... That's the point, not to modify with the system

I rooted because I was fed up with the preinstalled Orange bloatware apps as I need the space! I used unrevoked and I have full root access i.e. I have the superuser app and I have been able to access the system partition and even managed to delete apk files from the system apps directory.
However, despite trying all the suggestions i found on these forums and elsewhere; Root Explorer, System App Remover and Titanium backup, no matter how many times I remove the apps in question, within a short time, the phone reboots and the apps are back again!
Please note that I am only trying to remove the stupid games etc which Orange stuff the ROM with not anything significant.
I really dont fancy flashing a new ROM as I cant be bothered setting up my phone again from scratch, so any advice somebody can give would be REALLY apreciated!!
You need to S-Off your phone, not just root if you want to remove your applications, while the phone is booted.
Search a guide here in the Android Developement section.
Alternatively use ADB to remove the files - your phone must be in recovery mode.
Thanks so much!!
Or better yet, just install one of the custom roms with a2sd. If you don't want a modified one, just use rooted froyo with a2sd, this is a good one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=789058

If you are S-ON you can delete them with ADB when you are in recovery mode.
You can also delete them through root explorer from the market. It's not free but it takes two minutes to use and you can see what your deleting if you are unsure
I have the same issue here.
Will try the ADB method when get a chance, but Root Explorer won't delete them - you can delete unwanted games etc, but they are still on the apps list the the files will come back after the reboot - tried this already.

You are S-OFF, so no wonders why you don't have any problems
titanium backup
why not just use titanium backup. its free and a very easy way to uninstall apps.
Again, you need to be s-off to uninstall system apk, which unfortunately all the bloatware is.
Clarification, you need to be s-off to use titanium or root explorer to remove system apk.

@vis-tec: It's Orange UK, rooted, but S-ON. ADB method works perfect tough. Tested last night. Also integrated some system apps updates in the ROM via ADB.
titanium backup hasn't work for me either.
only ADB
remember that deleting bloatware does not give you any extra amount of space.
these apps are in \system which is not where apps you download install.
only way of extending you app-space is A2SD+ or DATA2XXX but they tend to slow down the phone
best solution >> S-OFF and ROM designed to run on a custom HBOOT.
u get lots of space, and a super fast rom since dalvik cache stays on NAND

it does.
i've had google maps, youtube updates etc in the /data/app and after deleting bloatware and the old versions of gmaps etc. there was enough space in /system/app to move the updates there.
so now on the /data/app is 8-10MB more for my other apps.
also if i'm right the /system partition is used as cache for apps, so there is more space for this.
and it looks way better when you open 'all apps' drawer - the list is much shorter now and there is only the stuff you need
I've just installed Marshmallow on my Nexus 7 2013 wifi using the Nexus Root Toolkit and rooted using the beta version of SuperSU.
As I understand, there is almost no space left on the system partition. And I've read suggestions that you use Titanium Backup to delete an a system app such as Google Play Games to give yourself some space in the system partition. (and then reinstall the app in the user space, if you want it).
I'm not having any luck with deleting the system app using Titanium Backup. The Processing dialog just stays up forever. And after a reboot, I tried to to convert Google Play Newsstand from a system to a user app, and again the Processing dialog just stays up forever and a reboot was necessary.
Is there something I'm missing or something I need to do in order to free up some space in the system partition? Thanks.
It should work. You flashed the boot image right?
I flashed chanifires modified boot.img and then the 2.52 beta through twrp and was able to delete system apps with TB on mra58k (didn't try on mra58u).
You can try flashing the system.img and then redo the steps above and see if that works. You won't lose any data flashing system.
Thanks. Reflashing the system fixed the problem.
For those having problem with free system space when installing rom update could use my gapps-config.txt, I removed most stuff not needed, however you can edit to your liking. Place it in same place with your opengapps.
Suggestion when installing update:
1. Wipe dalvik, cache, system (dont wipe data or internal)
2. Install rom, open gapps pico, supersu (additional), etc
The #1 may seem unnecessary, but could avoid problems that dirty flash may have (bootloop, fc, feature not work, etc) and since you don't wipe data, your data would be safe.
This work for all roms (5.x, 6.x, 7.x) as long opengapps supported.
PS: Albeit I try to remove stock launcher and keyboard, it would not get removed if there are no other launcher and keyboard. This is handy if you dirty flash and already set another launcher and keyboard. You can comment both line if you unsure.
I have installed pico gapps and further removed unwanted apps linke text to speech but still unable to make google app a system app using link2sd it says low space please help

I guess you should remove "LatinIME or LatinME" the default keyboard and the default browser, that'd definitely do it.
I some how made google app a system app but it keeps on force closing or show error so please guide me from start

Try clean data for that app, else do a clean flash.
Guys, I'm rooted with magisk and I want to remove system apps like youtube. I used system app remover for it and it always fails, any idea how to do it?
Try root uninstaller. Always worked with me.
I've always used root uninstaller on all my devices until this one. It says something along the lines of "sorry, root privilege found but cannot mount system r/w " so it will only allow me to disable apps. Root essentials on the other hand won't disable apps but will allow me to uninstall system apps except for Google, which I had to manually delete the folder and apk for.

You can use Titanium Backup to do so, uninstall and reboot to confirm, Just make sure the app is not disabled before you uninstall it.

Thanks it really works.

I had the same problem, too. I tried several apps but the uninstalled ones magical appear again after reboot.
The only thing that worked for me was to install the magisk module " terminal debloater " here on XDA.
Now they are gone.
Just wanted to share my experience with NFC banking and FullHD working Netflix. Managed to delete everything google and installed Microg only (to get Gcam to work), my banking app, Netflix app, Canary EdXposed and it works flawlessly! Could never get FullHD and NFC banking to work previously with Xposed. Of note was the fact I am running Xprivacy, too. Just make sure you blacklist the apps in EdXposed and also hide them in Magisk and it all works
Hope this helps others as it really made my NoGapps/Rooted stock phone experiences significantly better.
Hi, did you follow a guide to de Google your phone or did you do it yourself?
I didn't follow any guides, per se. Deleting gapps is risky but I always do full nandroid backup beforehand, in case something goes wrong. Make sure you know what you're doing. Make sure LGUp is working properly before starting this! Anyway, here's what did:
1) Make sure you have followed WTF instructions to unlock the phone on Oreo rom. Don't update to Pie without unlocking bootloader in Oreo first. This is to ensure you can have root in Pie.
2) Fresh install stock Pie with LGUp. Ensure there us no SIM card and no wifi access to the phone. Make sure you remove google account from phone before installing Pie kdz!! Otherwise it won't work.
2) Install TWRP. Follow WTF instruction for Pie to install Magisk, etc. Factory reset. Wipe /cache /data /dalvik. Reboot into TWRP/recovery. Format data. Reboot into TWRP/recovery again. Make a full backup. Mount /system partition and using the file explorer in TWRP, I deleted all the google apps folders (except googlepackageinstaller, googleExt, and any other google apps you might use) from /system/apps and /system/priv apps. Remember to have a full nandroid backup on and sdcard in case you get bootloop.
3) Delete cache and dalvik and reboot into system now.
4) After first boot, if everything goes well, boot into recovery and install EdXposed (riru core 19.5 then latest canary build Yahfa version EdXposed). Wipe cache and dalvik. Reboot.
5) Install F-droid, search for gapps. You should find an app called /dgapps/ or something. Install it. Delete Amazon and GMS (gapps) and hit 'clear and reboot' in the bottom.
6) Once ypu have entered phone again, install microg gmscore app only. Now, using titanium or whatever you used to backup your apps reinstall them without their data. Once your phone is back to normal with all your apps, follow my guide above to blacklist netflix and banking apps in EdXposed app and Magisk app.
7) Reboot and everything should be working.
P.s. Word of warning: deleting gapps can cause bootloop so ensure you make full backups in TWRP. Make sure you know how to use LGUp to flash kdz if things go wrong.
P.s.s. Deleting gapps means GPS will have fewer sats connecting and will take longer to connect, as well. It's a tradeoff for privacy.
