these are hidden oem commands, some of them are not even displayed when typing "fastboot oem help" in fastboot mode. commands that got my attraction the most are "fastboot oem ramdump", "fastboot oem logo" and "fastboot oem ssm_test 10 1". look what happens when i try to enter these.
yeah i've even tried with mfastboot. my bootloader is unlocked, but in many bootloaders setting some byte in bootloader code and then flashing it by edl unlocks bootloader without any oem tools or unlock codes, maybe this is also a method for unlocking these commands. there is something in kane called exynos mode or exynos usb download, this is exactly the same as edl, this is the mode that you flash blankflash in, but on exynos device. does someone know how to get in here without purposely breaking bootloader? still someone more experienced than me needs to figure out how to unlock it and what to change in bootloader image.

What Melhouse said is correct. You'd need to install fastboot for your PC/Mac/Linux machine that you will use to connect this phone to. Once installed, then just issue the fastboot command as listed above.
Also make sure that the phone is in bootloader mode by either pressing volume up + down + power at the same time from a switched off position or issue a adb reboot bootloader command via your client pc/mac.
I use fastboot-mac oem unlock from my mac to unlock and fastboot-mac oem lock to lock the bootloader once done.

I tried to follow the instructions throu the lg's website in order to unlock the bootloader of my phone (i installed adb and all) but my phone seems to be stuck in the fastboot menu. I never rooted it, i never flashed anything, it was always working (never stuck in bootloop) and now i get this. When i type in cmd "adb reboot bootloader" it works, but when im going to type "fastboot oem device-id" which is the next step, it doesnt do anything and the cmd says <waiting for the device> so i think that my phone gets stuck/freezes. However, if i open its back and remove the battery and place it again its all working (normal boot) like nothing happened. But when i try to do my job throu the fastboost mode i see nothing but only this:

EDIT: solved, i uninstalled the drivers from the pc and i let windows update install them for me.
Boot to twrp and flash a rom from sd or fix with lgup or flash tool in dl mode as stated you have the lg logo so u should still have those modes as you only deleted OS.
Hi, 2 hours ago, I just unlocked boot loader.
But, I didn't know how to upload custom rom in that state, I think I used wrong code.
My cell worked till I used the code below.
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash abl_a
But, after that, I just spontaneously used the code below to upload custom rom..... (Why did I... sighhh)
fastboot flash abl_b
After I used the code, My computer can't read my cell and I cant also enter the fastboot mode.
Whenever I press any buttons on my cell, the only thing that I can see is this picture.

I'm sure my question hasn't been answered yet, but is it possible to root without having a PC? I'm a novice when it comes to Android modification but the update to 11 and the new DSU dev option seem hopeful. I was hoping I could somehow use Termux to unlock bootloader and then flash with magisk patched boot.img. I'm on the Metro variant (oem unlocked). Screenshots of build info provided

I'm not familiar with carrier locked phones. If it's OEM unlocked can't you just unlock bootloader with fastboot? It sure would be the easy option.

Highly not adviced to root without a PC, i tried it once and bricked my phone.
The bootloader can be unlocked, boot into the bootloader (with adb: adb reboot bootloader) and then type (fastboot oem unlock)
Greetings!
I'm trying to unlock Bootloader to install TWRP and it's not working.
Initially I went into download mode and tried flash TWRP but it returns an unofficial software message.
Searching the internet I found that I should activate OEM Unlock, but it doesn't appear on my device.
After enabling developer mode, I've tried:
1. Return the date in the settings (01/04/2018)
2. Reset factory
3. Flash last device rom.
4. I waited more than 180 hours.
I entered other suggestions that I found but none worked.
I tried to run the command "Flashboot unlock oem", but the device does not work when I enter manual mode. When I connect to the computer and type the command "adb reboot fastboot" the device simply restarts and does not enter fastboot.
If anyone has any suggestions on how I can install TWRP or make the option to Unlock OEM appear I would be grateful.
