I had bought a Japan ARC [SO-01], unfortunately, I bought it b4 1 April, so i cannot get unlocked by docomo and also I'm not in japan now...
I think the unlock code from some provider also work but the problem is that, my phone will not prompt any unlock key insert screen, please help :"(
All Docomo phones sold before and after April 1st still come carrier-locked. The only difference is that starting April 1st, you can now take your handset into Docomo, pay ¥3150, and get your phone unlocked -- even if you bought your phone before April 1st.
You will have to go into a Docomo store, however. If your phone is still carrier-locked (to Docomo), your best shot is to find someone in Japan who can do it for you. Perhaps you can contact the seller and arrange the unlock for some fee.

thanks for confirming this info , i have ordered a docomo xperia arc so that i can use it in the usa , but people have been doubting that it can be unlocked because it was released on March 24th.
the Lt15a(America version) and the Docomo SO-01c are hte same and that is why i ordered from japan
this website has the unlock for xperia arc
http://www.gsmliberty.net/shop/sony-ericsson-xperia-arc-x12-unlock-codes-p-3329.html
Although they say "They can do" but actually they cannot do, because nobody can find entry screen for unlock code. I bought UNLOCK code from them but cannot do this.

Can you unlock the japanese xperia arc ?
its the Docomo SO-01c
Basically Docomo says this model cannot be UNLOCKED and this has to keep specified ROM.
But finally I could UNLOCK by flashing global ROM and after completing ROM flashing, unlock screen appeared. Therefore I could enter unlock code successfully!
But the key thing is that this cannot be returned to original ROM which is provided from Docomo, so now this is UK or Chinese (HKG) version (LT-15i).
And slightly Japanese font is different from original font style, probably this is Chinese KANJI, I guess.
You can return it to DoCoMo firmware. You just need somebody to update their DoCoMo arc and send you the firmware files.

Sure, the box says exactly this: "GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSPA Bands 1/2/5/6" The UMTS/HSPA bands are 2100/1900/850/800.
You need someone with DoCoMo firmware to update their phone. If they then pack the 'db' folder from SEUS and upload it, I will be able to make an .ftf file for flashtool.

Hi,
Usually I am in Japan but this month I have to stay in France. If I get a Xperia arc european version here and then take it to Japan with me.
Will it be possible to use it in Japan? Does the european version support the japanese network?
Will it be possible to flash the docomo firmware to use sp mode?
Thanks

No, you can not get the European version, the LT15i, for use on DoCoMo. I'm unsure of Softbank.
Arg. Too bad. Thanks for the quick reply.

I think that any japan arc, could be flashed anywhere with an european version software (ie: unlocked LT15i flash rom). The phone will result with the european firmware, but it will support american and japanese networks.
I did that with my C905, its model is "C905a", but I flashed it whit the C905i firmware because of different spanish text from Europa. I use 3G in chile with no prob.
SO, can't this be done to a Japanese Xperia arc?

thank you for the info, im gonna need u guys help flashing the rom on the japanes Xperia when i get it and also unlocking it with the code.
I'm looking to import a Docomo Galaxy Nexus from Japan (Have a buddy who can get one forr about $300). What would be the steps that I would have to take to unlock it for AT&T? Then go and install an English rom? Would it be as simple as a language change in the stock rom, or would I have to install something else? I'm fairly decently versed in rooting and installing roms, so you don't have to dumb it down
If it carries into the DoCoMo shop and I have a sim lock canceled, it should be able to use even in AT & T.
sim lock release costs 3,150 yen.
sc-04d corresponds to the following bands.
GSM(850/900/1800/1900MHz)、WCDMA(850/900/1900/1700/2100)
Well you would have to sim unlocked the device and while you set up choose english. I'm pretty sure they are Yakju so you would get google updates

which procedure performed for the unlocker?
is permanent or temporary?
is done by IMEI? or software?
sorry for so many questions!

Hello,
Can anyone help please? Does anyone know the differences between the korean version and the UK version. Also does it support UK's micro sim and will it support the 4G in UK.
If yes , can anyone tell me where can I get the korean version from? Would I be able to root the device?
Thank You
Hello evryone! I've just bought an unlocked LG Optimus G Pro. This phone is the AT&T version, but since it's unlocked, and i use it in europe, there are lot of useless apps in it, and it doesn't contains the language of my country (Hungary). I want to change the android for the version what the factory unlocked phone has. Can anyone help me? I've already found a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438088 but i'm not sure that this is what i'm looking for.

You can flash this kdz file at: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+Optimus+G+Pro/Stock/Panama+E980H/
Thank you! I have some other questions too.
Thank you very much! So this is the international version for unlocked phones right? I just checked the software version in my phone and it's running on E9810p. And one more question, the unlocked software version contains all the default android languages? I just found here a file for my country, its in the HungaryE986 folder on the site what you linked (i can't put there links because i just registered yesterday sorry.) but it's number is E98610E. So i don't know it is compatible with my phone or not.
I have a brand new kddi au SCV38 (Galaxy S9) and a docomo SIM from one of the discount providers (Rakuten). The docomo version of the same phone is SC-02K. au and docomo use slightly different LTE bands. Is there anything speaking against flashing a docomo stock rom to the au phone?
Answering my own question, in case anyone else ever wonders. I've flashed the latest Docomo stock firmware to the au phone and for all I can see, everything works just fine. The only thing I'm left wondering about is use of the docomo LTE bands. Some of these are different from au bands. No idea whether the au phone with the docomo ROM will be able to use all docomo bands. If I ever have an answer to that, I'll post that here as well.
To flash the docomo ROM to the au phone, I followed the below instructions.

Hi Axel,
As you said that you were already successful to install docomo ROM to au model, I assume that you already rooted the device. Could you show me the tutorial to do such thing? I use au S9+ and I want to get a root access, since there's many bloatware I want to remove. Thanx in advance, man.

thanks for the alternatives bro.. btw, when you rooted your phone, what was its state? my phone is on One UI 1.0 (android 9), baseband version SCV39KDU1BSI1, and security patch is on September 1, 2019; and I'm not sure whether it can be rooted or not, since as long as I know, rooting galaxy s9+ snapdragon is still impossible until now.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...cross-device-development/twrp-exynos-t3763464
it says "In NO way it is compatible with Snapdragon variants including but not limited to American(U/U1/A/T/P/V), Chinese(0/8/6), Hong Kong(0), Japanese(SC-*), Canadian(W) variants"
