Hi
My Phone: Moto G cedric
Android: Lineageos-18.1 witch Microg
ROM: lineage-18.1-20211002-microG-cedric.zip
downloaded from this address:
Does anyone know where in LineageOS is the MAC Address Privacy option in the wifi settings?
I mean the setting shown in this picture:

Cheers
I don't use 'cedric', but on LOS 18.1, the 'use randomized MAC' setting is available at Settings > Developer Options > Wi-Fi-enhanced MAC randomization.
I hope this helps.
@sclip , but WiFi enhanced MAC randomization is not the same compared to WiFi MAC randomization. You even have the info included in the screen you've provided, i.e. WiFi enhanced MAC randomization will work only for networks where you have MAC randomization enabled.
@morfikov: I'm sorry for not reading about your requirement completely.
In recent Android versions, MAC address randomization is enabled by default. If you want to turn it off for a particular SSID, you need to go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Saved networks. Tap on the SSID for which you want to change the setting, then tap on Privacy and then tap 'Use device MAC'.
I hope this helps.

Where is Randomization Default settings?
What configuration file is called contains the default mac-randomization settings.
What is its location?
At the moment the system always uses Device_mac by default, Privacy-mac settings are missing:
@Jacekalex: Yeah, its strange that 'Privacy' is missing from the SSID settings in your screenshot. It's available on my device (jasmine_sprout with official LOS 18.1).
I have no idea about the config files in LOS source or build; I am not a developer. Sorry I couldn't be of assistance.

I recently purchased an AR Drone from Parrot, and am trying to connect it to my EVO (rooted, running MikFroyo 4.5). It seems that the EVO cannot recognize the ad-hoc network that the Drone broadcasts. Is there a ROM or kernel that I could use to allow it to detect an ad hoc wifi network?
I'd rather not apply an infrastructure patch to my brand new drone, instead just messing with the phone I mess with all the time. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Answered my own question
Well, I just answered my own question, and figured I'd share with everyone else. I just tested this at my local Brookstone store (I'm friends with the store manager) and was able to fly theirs as well as my own.
From what I've done, the process to make any ROM Ad-Hoc compatible is pretty simple, although you do need adb.
First step, go into a command window, and with your phone connected to your computer run "adb shell wpa_supplicant -v".
This will spit out some information regarding the wpa security measures in place on your particular ROM. What we are looking for is the set of numbers it shows.

See where it says 0.5.11? That's what we want. It could also show 0.6.xx. Either way, that determines which of these zip files you should flash onto your phone. After it is flashed, your phone will be able to recognize and connect to Ad-Hoc networks, they will be displayed in the WiFi setting menu as (*)NETWORK_NAME.
If you are showing a 0.5.xx number download the file "wpa_adhoc-signed.zip"
If you are showing a 0.6.xx number download the file "wpa6_adhoc-signed.zip"
Last second notes: This works on ALL phones and ALL ROMs, you do need to check the wpa_supplicant data on each phone and ROM, it is usually different per unique setup. Also, the app I used to fly the Parrot AR.Drone is free, it is called AR.Pro Lite and is on the Android Market for any phones that are already Ad-Hoc capable or enabled.
That should be it, go out and see the (more) complete world of WiFi, and enjoy your new toy if you so wish!

Ad-Hoc Network Detection
After Installation my WiFi did not working... :/
WIFI turninng on .... ERROR
Hi,
the speaker on my One M8 (Lollipop) wasn't working anymore so I got a replacement from Vodafone (Germany) with Marshmallow pre-installed. After everything was set up on the new phone, I wanted to use navigation in Maps, but it wasn't working. Maps just couldn't get a fix on my location.

I downloaded GPS Status from the play store and it confirmed that GPS wasn't working: "No Fix".
After that, I did the following:
Turning GPS on/off
Inserting a different SIM card
Toggling the location setting between "High Accuracy"/"Device only"
Soft reset (Reboot)
Turning off battery optimization for all GPS apps
Factory reset
All that didn't work. So I got another replacement phone from Vodafone (a completely different device) and I got the exact same problem with this one. My humble guess is that it seems to be a problem with marshmallow.
Some additional information:
Android 6.0
HTC Sense 7.0
Build 6.12.161.4 CL662736
So, any news from this? I have the same problem and don't want to resort to custom roms or a downgrade.

In Settings>Apps, go to Google Maps (or whatever app or apps you are trying to use along with GPS) and in Permissions, confirm if Location is toggled on.
In MM, lots of permissions need to be activated on a per-app basis. So I suspect that may be the issue (Location permission is simply not toggled on). Also, when setting up the phone, there was the option to allow Location to be shared with apps, and you may have selected "No" causing this permission to be toggled off for all apps as default.

Thank you, unfortunately that didn't help. I'm beginning to suspect hardware failure (even though phone is new).
I checked the permissions on all apps using location, and tinkered with all sorts of settings. Nothing helped.
Hello, i am trying to find a way to enable wifi calling, searching the internet i cant seem to find in my calls menu an option for this.
Can you guys provide a solution? P6p unlocked, april software version.

Maybe it's the particular carrier your using. Sorry, I can't help - I don't know if there's a workaround for you or not.
Search this forum for p6p. There is a magis module which enable vowifi and volte
Can i use magisk module without root?
No you cannot.
Edit:
Try*#*#4636#*#* and look in the phone testing menu

I get the the following:
Bummer
Try another network SIM to see if it's carrier locked, EE for example removes the ability to change to 4g only direct from menus!
Contact your network and ask them to provision your SIM
I did, my VoLTE service is enabled on their side, but on my phone it shows as unavailable.
After talking to my service provider, usin *#*#4636#*#* i now jave an option to select phone 1, before only had phone 0. Still no option in phone but now i get the folowing as in atachment, and i can call now in places i couldnt be heard before.
I STRONGLY recommend you edit out your IMEI number! Never post that!
for the voWIFI / Wifi Calling service to work, you must NOT DISABLE the following apk services: com.sec.ims, com.sec.epdg, com.sec.imsservice, com.sec.sve( secVideoEngineService) com.samsung.ucs.agent.ese(eSE UCS plugin)
I turned it off myself
Hackers can take control of some Samsung or Pixel phones with just your phone number
If you don't have the March 2023 security update, you should probably disable Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE.

Droidian is a GNU/Linux distribution based on top of Mobian, a Debian-based distribution for mobile devices. The goal of Droidian is to be able to run Mobian on Android phones. This is accomplished by using well-known technologies such as libhybris and Halium.Requirements
Android 9 firmware for your device (PQ3B.190801.002):
Pixel 3a sargo: LINK
Files
Download the latest fastbootable image: droidian-UNOFFICIAL-phosh-phone-google_sargo-api28-arm64-nightly_XXXXXXXX.zip
Installation:
Extract the archive
run the flash_all script
Boot to fastboot and let the script flash everything.
UBports Installer
Alternatively the UBports installer can also be used to install Droidian.
NotesDefault passwordThe default password is 1234.
List of working things can be found at https://github.com/droidian-sargo/device-page
APNMobile data needs an APN to be set up from Settings -> Mobile Network -> Access Point Names.
Broken mobile data after callsData connection might break after receiving and making calls. Switch it off and on from Settings -> Mobile Network to fix it. Be careful to not turn off the mobile modem or a device restart might be required.
Out of storageBy default when flashing Droidian it allocates 8GB of storage to the system. This might not be enough and luckily you can allocate more storage with ADB by running (while in recovery): adb shell e2fsck -fy /data/rootfs.img and adb shell resize2fs -f /data/rootfs.img xG where x is the amount of GB to allocate (eg: 50G for 50 GB).
SSH accessconnect your phone to your computer and type ssh [email protected], the password is 1234 (on Windows, you may need PuTTY)
ApplicationsYou can find a list of mobile-friendly Linux applications at LinuxPhoneApps
What Works
Manual brightness, Notification LED, Torchlight, Vibration, Carrier info, Data connection, Calls, Pin unlock, SMS, Audio routing, Voice calls, Volume control, Battery percentage, Online charging, RTC time, SDcard, Shutdown, Reboot, Bluetooth, Flight mode, Hotspot, WIFI, Auto brightness, Proximity, Rotation, Touch screen, Earphones, Loud speaker, Microphone, Waydroid
What partially works
Camera works fine in Waydroid but in system itself it requires manual download and compilation of a software
What doesn't work
GPS, Fingerprint, Offline charging, Dual SIM, Encryption
Don't enable encryption it make it will soft brick the device.
WaydroidWaydroid is an Android container which lets Android apps run on Linux phones with GPU acceleration with full speed.
Waydroid works fine on bonito.
Final Notes
I'm not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
