Hello,
Compare to my 3years old Huawei M5 with the same resolution 2560x1600 and format 16x10 and same apps (Brower, pdf) there are less columns on display. Why?
Maybe the DPI is set a bit too low?

It changes interface size, but still does not make gaps between apps smaller and does not increase lines and rows as it should. Nova launcher did that perfect, but doesn't work on miui 12.5.
By the way, on different language develeoper options look completely different

Oh, now i understand what You meant. This miui launcher dont has option to change quantity of rows and column. You can install nova launcher and fluid navigation gestures to simulate gesture navigation. Or wait for custom roms.
Can also do this from: Settings > Additional settings > Accessibility > Vision > Display size

Thanks, but It changes interfejs size, not icons spacing. It is so stupid in this device, that even watch with weather should be on top od the screen and it is in 1/3 from top. Terrible waste of space and stupid that we can't change it.

Hi All,
I have having the following 3 problems with the DPI change. I am using the Stock Asus rom and Rooted. I am currently using 440 DPI but problem has been there are other settings too (420, 400, ect), stock DPI is 480. I have 551ML model. I changed DPI using the terminal emulator wm density command.
1. In google play store some icons are blown up and strange sizes. The Icons that are strange are the google recommended diamond icon and the editors choice star. they dont seem to be scaled properly.
2. I cant set a picture for my user account. in the top right corner of the notification pull down, the picture will also be blown up and weird. if I have no picture than the stock avatar is normal.
3. Using any app that requires cropping of pictures, the picture does not fit to the screen and I only see the uppermost left corner in the crop viewfinder. its as if its zoomed into full resolution. this goes for Instagram and trying to set a display picture in almost any app like whats app.
other than thee 3 problems, I find the new DPI change to be much better than stock. Any help would be appreciated.
I tried to change on stock rom, with "wm density" trick, or "UI tuner (root)", or on CM13... i can say that DPI changing is far less flawless than in SlimRom i had on my previous Nexus S & 4 !
I totally agree that default UI is oversized. Maybe, if we want to have more information on our zenfone 2's 5.5 inches' screen, it's related to screen size/resolution/dpi, Not dpi alone...
Bump
I also have this issue after icreasing to 440.
The worst thing is that most of the pictures in apps are stretched just from the edges (for example in 9gag app those tiny advert pictures).
Ideas welcomed
Edit: worst thing is infact the Swift key got enlarged do I had to switch to a stock keyboard (screen attached)

Hi,
as you have already rooted your phone you try the xposed module App Settings instead of changing the dpi settings directly. App Settings allows you to set the dpi for each application seperately. If you have also installed an additional launcher like Nova Launcher you can change the dpi for that as well. It is less cumbersome than find and set a suitable dpi with which the phone works correctly.
Hi,
I'm curious if other Folds' have the same problem as mine.
I think this is only happening from the latest uldate, I am now on Android10, 4.14.117-18521059 kernel (apr 24).
The problem is that menu items are not rendered into one line ie in Settings:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have set the smallest available font:
Is this screen looks the same on your Fold, guys?
I dont understand the problem im on May patch android 10 and using nova and on the 4th dot font size
Hi, I took a screenshot from a different Galaxy phone (not Fold), and all the items are rendered next to the switches:
Ps: I'm not using any launchers or mods, everything is stock.
If someone has Fold, could you please post a reply with a screenshot of connection (or any other) settings took of the outer screen?
Thank you!

Wow, such a neat little finetune! Thanks a lot man!
Did they remove the App grid size form the latest update?
In settings it still shows App Grid Size as part of being a setting in Wallpapers but when you go in there it's gone along with Theme matching beta.

Are you on the latest update? I found it last night (and just double checked)
Under `Dark Theme` I have `Themed Icons`, then `App grid`
It's there on mine just below where the last poster mentioned (@CJ0206 ). The good thing is it now works properly, before it was doing some comically strange sizes and things over all apps

Yeah, I had to update it, wasn't happy with the default settings for the grid layout
I am on the latest update and it's missing from wallpapers.
Clearing storage and clearing cache didn't do anything either
Just to confirm I also have the grid options available. I'm on 5x5 right now. Themed icons look a bit scheibe atm tbf

Yup. There's zero attempt to theme third party icons.
So on your home screen it's either have Google apps on display only or disable themed icons.
What a let down.

Here's what I have
I thought it was just me and was debating a full wipe and reload... but I'm still just getting things settled, I don't want to start over.
I can also confirm that I have the latest version and storage and clearing cache didn't do anything for me either. Any other suggestions?

I figured it out: I had changed my display size to small. When I changed it back to default, the option to change the app grid size in Wallpaper and Style returned!

Holy grail hahaha I tried that earlier with no luck. But I did it again and it didn't show.... But I left the settings then restarted my phone and bam!!
Thank you very much
Quick update: I wasn't happy with the look of the default screen size, so I changed back to small and the 'advanced' Wallpaper and Style options are still available. Even after reboot. It's a win all around!
So I am sure this has been asked many times, I just cant seem to find it, lol.
I hate the digital square clock thing on the lock screen and from what I can tell and read there is not an easy way to change this. Nice!!
I am rooted, any suggestions on how to change this to a normal digital or analog clock? I am not sure why would there not be an option for something as SIMPLE as this?
I hear this changed in Android 12, but in 13, its a new "feature"?
The only way to change it currently is to leg l leave some kind of notification as unminimized. I know in another thread in this section someone mentioned a particular app for creating a dummy notification you can leave displaying all the time. Having a notification that displays on the lockscreen makes the lockscreen small as in screenshot below.
Now if you don't let notifications display on your lockscreen, then there's nothing you can do about it for now (until / if someone finds a way).

Thanks, will look into that. Any idea WHY this would be restricted this way, lol?
I just use the built in screen saver and have it set to the digital clock. Down side is that the screen saver only works when the phone is charging/docked.
You can try AODNotify or
Tasker can help you change the size of Android 12's AOD clock
A new Tasker project allows you to choose between the small and large clock designs on Android 12's Always-On Display.

With A12 Google removed a lot of the customization options we once had, such as setting a specific icon layout in the status bar and choosing a font style. Samsung still retains these features.
In A12 the lock screen clock is new, while in A13 there is supposedly new options being developed that will allow you to change the display format. It may also arrive in A12L.
Your best bet is to install a 3rd party AOD app to customize your lock screen or wait for a custom ROM.
Hi everyone,
for some reason I have no themed icon option in the settings.
I can only change wallpaper and system color.
Anyone has a fix for this?
Thanks!

Exactly...see attachment.
You also don't have grid spacing. Just to be sure (I'm sure you have but good to check) you've scrolled the page down right?
The obvious covered, I'm stumped. If you go into card mode and click the app info bubble, it says 13 at the bottom?
Are you using a launcher? Many of them won't support the themed icons and the switch will disappear. There are a few ways around this though

I am using Nova Launcher. But I thought since the release of A13 stable it does not depend on the launcher anymore?
i got the same here.not a big deal for me,i use klwp.
thats only work with pixel launcher as standaard.
Pro tip: turn the themed icons on using the pixel launcher. Then switch to the launcher of your choice. The themed icon switch will disappear but the system will still theme them because it's still switched on. Even post reboot. Profit
