Question Control center settings menu - Xiaomi Mi Pad 5

Why did they remove the Settings menu button from the drop down control center for the tablet MIUI. (usually left of the edit control center button order)

i am more concern of volume removed!because its very uncomfortable to change volume with those extremely small buttons(also you need swipe 2 times instead of 1 to bring out control panel)

Customised Action Screen

Of course we know the 12 button action screen.
My question is:
Is it possible to make an action screen for which you can choose for yourself which function the buttons have?
Everydy would like to have different buttons I guess, I would like ring mode in it for example for fast switch between loud and vibration.
Design could be like the programs tab, just push on the plus sign, add a picture, add an action...
What do the developers think?
Thanks in advance!
Well, with regards to fast switching between ringtone and vibration, there is a faster and better way, just press the volume up or down key and select vibrate on the bar. Better than switching on the phone, launching the action screen and then switching between the 2 modes!

have you downloaded a program called virtual Dpad its a program that does what your's is doing on purpose.
the other solution is AEbuttonPlus its freeware that enables the remapping of any button to any purpose including soft keys.
Regards
I went and looked I only have the PTT and send that are customizable. it makes me go hmmmmn
hard reset.

Disable ringtone control with volume rocker

Greetings everyone,
Is there a way to disable the ringtone volume control using the volume rocker? Every time I use my phone, I keep hitting the volume rocker by mistake, changing from vibration mode to sound mode. I tried using apps like RingGuard and such, but they weren't effective and kept popping up in the notification center. Is there a way to get rid of the ringtone control option?
Thanks!

Completely disable the Volume buttons on Samsung Galaxy S3
I absolutely hate the placement of the power button on my Samsung Galaxy S3. When I go to holster my phone, if I accidentally hit the power button and wake the phone, when the phone fits into the holster the volume button will often brush against the holster and the volume will inadvertently change since the phone is now "awake" - this drives me CRAZY. I much preferred the power button to be on top of the phone, like my old Droid Incredible. But I do love my S3....
I tried the apps that "lock" the volume, but I was not happy with that solution. The apps seemed clunky, the geek in me doesn't like to have unnecessary app running in the background, and those apps tended to interfere with and/or alter the settings of the super-simple Silent Toggle Widget that I prefer to use.
So this is how I set up my phone:
- Completely disable the volume rocker button (see below);
- Use the Silent Toggle Widget on my Home screen to change the phone from "Sound" to "Vibrate" to "Silent";
- Use the Volume Control+ app to change the individual volumes via software, when the need arises, which it rarely does.
I love it. I don't find any real need to change individual volumes, for me the sound is either "on" or "off" - color me simple I guess.
So, to completely disable the volume rocker button on the Samsung Galaxy S3:
- Root your phone (sorry)
- Edit the file /system/usr/keylayout/sec_keys.kl [note the plural "s" in sec_keys.kl]
- Comment out the first two lines with the pound sign (#) to disable key 115 volume_up and 114 volume_down
- Reboot
Hope someone else finds this useful
this is a real shame that yoy have to disable the whole rocker, as this functionality has been for years in the iPhone...

Hardware Keys Hacked

Hi,
Today while reboot some application asked for two hardware keys, I've pressed Volume-Up and Volume-Down keys and land up into following issue.
1. Pressing Volume-Up key start selecting elements on screen with blue focussing rectangle instead of volume increase functionality. This is similar as pressing TAB keys in desktop application to switch controls on screen. Volume-Down key acting as Enter (or Select Key) instead of volume decrease. Now I can operate all applications on phone using two keys but cant control volume
2. I've not installed any such application to map these keys. Now this app is not appearing again when I reboot my phone
How can I reset volume keys back to original state and remove or disable this hacking application or feature of android phone. I don't want to install a button remapping application - first need to eliminate the bug.
Device: One Plus 3
ROM: Resurrection 5.4.8
Same issue her
Super irritating. Can't find anything via Google search except this thread.
you have Talkback turned on - go into accessibility settings and disable it.
navigating in this mode is different (for users that need slower inteface), so :
tap = double tap

How does the button on the top left work ?

Hi, since I cannot go to a local store and physically touch the 5T, I have a Question:
1. The Button on the right side in the middle is the power button is this correct ?
2. There is another button on the top left, that looks like a switch in the pictures on Goolge.
2.1 How does this Button work, can you put it in two positions ? Or does it automatically slide back with a spring ?
2.2 What is the default functionality of this button on the top left ?
3. The Volume Key is one single key that you can press in two directions ( Up and Down ) correct? ,
3.1 It is not possible to simulate a up + down at the same time to give it a "third" key behavior ?
The button on the top left is an alert slider that can switch between three modes, ring, do not disturb and silent. You can press volume up and down at the same time, not sure if you can bind it to a function. The button on the right is the power button.
1. Correct, that's the power button.
2. The switch is an alert slider and it has three positions. The lower position is ring, do not disturb and silent or vibrate mode.
Putting the switch on ring means you get all the regular phone rings and alerts.
Putting the switch on do not disturb puts the phone in a non ringing, non vibrating mode.
Putting the switch on silent means the phone will not ring or give you audible alerts but will still vibrate when you receive a call, text or other type of alert.
The switch does indeed stay in place where you put it until you switch it to another position. Also, you can control certain settings within do not disturb and vibrate modes. In the photos I attached you can better see what options you have for those settings.
3. The key indeed is one single button, however you can press both up and down at the same time if you want to.
