[ROM][5.1][Flounder] Pure AOSP 3/18/15 [LMY47D]

Hello! I'll be posting pure AOSP builds whenever there are new versions of android released (providing I have the time).
If you choose to use these builds, please ensure you have unlocked your bootloader and have custom recovery installed. I have also noticed that TWRP seems a little wonky at this point, so in order for me to flash it correctly, I had to wipe, then restart recovery, then flash. Hope that's not the case for everyone else.

Awesome !!!! Been waiting for this. How did u build? Last week since their are little options for roms decided to build one on my own and i did a repo sync to Google source but when i did lunch flounder wasn't listed in the build options ?

From what I understand the apps themselves need to be optimized for 64 internally. These are all Google apps so they are if Google did so. As you update from the play store you don't choose if you're running 64bit or not.
As always I can be wrong.

This is actually a great question.

Adaptive brightness doesn't work. Other than that everything seems to be working.
Edit: Okay so I used an app to look at which sensors were working and which ones weren't... The proximity sensor is not working at all.

Adaptive brightness is working flawlessly. Maybe you had a bad download or flash.

I use USBhost's version of TWRP. I tried to flash the rom following directions in OP. It wouldn't flash. First it said for flounder and this device is flounder. Also said something about updater binary. I got this with the other rom also. I tried un-mounting and mounting system, but I still got the error messages. Any ideas?

I manually changed it to work with official twrp... Not sure why twrp is calling it volantis instead of flounder but that's why. Also, to get anything to flash in twrp at the moment, I have to reboot recovery after wiping. Hope this helps.

Installation:

Just curious. Are there any way for find 7 to install nano gapps? I keep on getting insufficient storage... Sad...

Am having problem of cold start gps. Takes about 8-10 mins before locking in. However, once lock in,everything work perfectly.
Updated on 18july.now everything is perfect. Even the battery life got better.

You can delete the storage check in the installer script. Did it before and worked fine. I'm gonna try it tonight with this build.
Update: Stucked in bootloop. Gonna try tommorow again.
Update#2: Here is my working solution:
1. Flashing rom
2. Flashing addonsu
3. Flashing openGapps micro

Whats the perception about the Lineage<color>Accent.apks ?
They seemed to compromise my device and after removing these system aps
my find7 starts twice as fast as before.
In Settings->Apps they are all active but do nothing and their names are renamed like kakao lavendel kirsche carbon...
I'dont know whats this about,
but I feel Hacked and compromised by these apks!
Please explain what these apks are good for
and why it is stated in Settings->Apps that they do nothing else as being in background active
nor is anything protokollised from their activity!

Are you serious? These are just simple apks for the styles you can change from display settings.

Curios i've had in those app a data collecting folder structure,
like db, files, and more, maybe a rootkit on my device???
I don't know, since i removed those my find7 works again really well,
what it didn't do since a long time in this year....

I just installed lineage-15.1-20180806-nightly-find7-signed.zip to replace my stock Oppo Find7 firmware on the weekend and after a few days with it, so far so good! I had to lose the LVM unfortunately, but I'd rather have an up to date OS.
The battery life seems shorter than the stock firmware. I can still get through the day, but down to 40 or 50% or less by 6PM instead of much more with the stock Oppo FW. I haven't tried tweaking any battery life settings yet though.
Two minor things with the install compared to the LineageOS howto - the SD card path was different to what was documented ( /internal_sd not /sdcard) , and I had to install open_gapps-arm-8.1-pico-20180812.zip (pico instead of the documented nano version)... but this was minor stuff and I got where I wanted to go.

Got the latest build. All fine Thanks

Allthough its not supported i've got unified working. not reliable tho. the only way i got it working when flashing los and direct rebooting into recovery again and then flashing the cm-13.0-find7-unified-storage-patch.zip from the according thread. cuz the original link is dead incl mirror i got my copy uploaded to gdrive here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sZ72qUD5P7qL4tsIF3MB-cQk9x9pamRR/view?usp=sharing
only drawback being you cant reboot anymore cuz that will somehow give you the your-sdcard-is-****ed message. havent found a reasonable routine so i guess you'll have to try your luck yourself and maybe give feedback?

Hi, could you disable CABC(Content Adaptive Brightness Control) or provide a way to disable it? The hardware of Find 7 use it and it really makes some troubles, brightness, color. Really thanks if you have that time

I read that the problem of heavy games crashing on Bacon (Oneplus One) was resolved recently with this commit https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/LineageOS/android_device_oneplus_bacon/+/218799/
I have the same problem with the Oppo Find 7/s (i.e. heavy games are crashing). As this device has the same processor and RAM as that of the Bacon, is it possible to get the same fix for Find 7 as well?

This is an Alpha build of lineageos15.1
Working:
-RIL
-Bluetooth
-Camera (at least 1 of them)
Not Working:
-Probably selinux (did not try enforcing kernel yet)
-Probably encryption (logcat says it works...)
-Wlan (maybe bcs some files from vendor/vendor_system in /system are missing)
-2nd camera (fix could be to use micamera app)
-Probably more
Instructions:
-Download V9.6.11.0.ODLMIFF_8.1 original rom
-go to V9.6.11.0.ODLMIFF/images
-Replace boot.img, with boot.img
-Replace system.img and system_other.img with system.img
-use the flash_all script. THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA, EVERYTHING! if you want to go back now (or later) just put the original images back again and use flash_all_except_storage
-Directly after the device reboots by itself, press vol up + power (u might have to hold it until device reboots again) to enter los recovery
-"factory reset--> wipe data"
-If you want TWRP "advanced-->reboot bootloader" and flash TWRP accordingly to thread, then u can flash gapps/mods.
-reboot
-give it time to boot

I am building omni now, so cant go back to los and test but if someone can test i might be able to fix it.
TEST:
-download attached zip
-open on pc or device
-copy the files to the corresponding folder (the folder they are in) in "/system" with a root file manager or adb. CAREFUL do not overwrite files already existing. PLEASE only copy the things in etc (especially etc/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_cfg.dat) first, reboot, check if working, if doesnt work, copy other things.
-set permissions accordingly to other files in same folder
-reboot and check if wifi works

It would be nice to have logs, then I could help.

If you ever need help with your omnirom build i would love to help out with everything that i can. Daisy really needs more support to be a very good device.

Thanks for testing. saksham is working on a new build (with updated vendor, etc), will let you know if we need testers.
Nice to know: The blinking red borders show layout updates, they flash in all eng (=developer) builds. If changing the build variant to userdebug (debuging enabled) or user (oem/production builds with few debuging enabled) they vanish.

Nope, it is not abandoned but we are very few people working on it and none of us has great android experience. Also, all of us do this in our spare time and therefore it can take time. If you want to speed up the build, supply logs (clean install rom, install adb on pc, execute

Also, I would love to help but with the lack of a proper working TWRP (encryption, restore backup issues) I really can't give it the time needed with all the stuff I'd have to reinstall every time, since I need my phone up and working nearly 100% of the time. If a decent version TWRP is released, I'll gladly help.
Glad you're still working on this though, just don't act like we should've known that you still where when the thread was dead for months. Good luck.

At the time i built the rom only 8.1 vendor (8.1 official rom) was avaiable. as i'm not really experienced with android it was easier to build 8.1 rom instead of trying to port vendor to 9.0 (while 9.0 vendor would have defenitely be officially out in a month or 2 ) and build los16. porting the device tree from 15.1 to 16.0 should be easy. Also, i don't like los, i want omni .

edit: It's finally works!! I've to install Magisk, gapps right after install GSI roms. I don't know which one made it boot.
edit2: It just works so far. Sim card didn't work. Some GSI roms throw me to bootloop no matter what I've done. I would love to wait more clearly instraction and example of GSI that works perfectly

You need to try different GSI, some GSI don't suit for our treble build.
I tested Pixel Experience.
I will try sim card. I noticed there is IMEI in about phone, so I think sim card should works fine.

So far so good. stable so far. But overheat is no joke.
edit:20/7/2019 Heat issued solved. I use this to tame down Snapdragon820. That's just cpu profile so it's will work on any device anyway.
Download the APK, install and grant root permission. No need to flash the zip file. I select Balanced >> Ghostpepper profile.

So....i dont own an xperia x performance BUT a normal xperia x
And on there the only Problem is that there is an annoying message at Boot
But except that everything is fine

It's boot now. Maybe the issues is on my side since my device refuse to boot on any kernel even patched stock kernel at the time

You tried run Erfans's Android Q GSI ? I have endless bootanimation after boot. What i doing wrong?

Our treble file could support Erfans's Android Q GSI, You need to flash this fix.

Some information you should know..
This is a fully working MIUI sGSI with Android version 9.0
If you want to report a Bug, read the F.A.Q First Then provide a logCat OR LoggingKit.zip with detailed explanation
Read the instructions and the F.A.Q Before installing the rom or posting a reply.
I don't own any files here, except patch files.
So, we are here with sGSI. It's normally called "unstable" and "not for daily usage" so users are recommended to go for GSI. But GSI lacks features and has AOSP-like design that some users may be bored of that. And now we finally break that law. sGSI can now be used as daily drivers.
As the nature of these sGSI go, it was a non stop battle for almost 3 weeks straight to get it to this point where all features are working as expected. if you appreacite this work Hit the Thanks button
RULES OF POSTING : READ everything before commenting, And especially the instlal steps, the rom has been tested throughly for a long time, so if you have an critical issue like not booting or no sim, you missed the instructions, posts that are irrelevant to this project will be ignored(Constructive criticism is welcomed). Kernel:
You can choose either latest CronosKernel by @ananjaser1211, or KRAKEN kernel by @SPARTANICUS
Install steps:
ensure you have LATEST TWRP from Here
Download all the files in the DOWNLOAD section
Wipe everything (SYSTEM,DATA,CACHE,DALVIK and preferably Internal storage all together)
Flash Project Spaget 3.0 (not X!) here and follow the steps there.
Flash MIUI-Aonly-9-20191230-ErfanGSI.img to SYSTEM
Flash your desired kernel, either Cronos or KRAKEN (must be using Treble version)
[IMPORTANT] Flash Magisk in order to have patch working
Flash sGSI-Patch.zip
Flash NFC Patch
After the boot animation is on for 30~60 Seconds. Hold VolumeDown+power until the device reboots
Install Google Play Services apk in Downloads section in order to get setup working
Setup your rom and READ the F.A.Q for more information.
BUGS:
Signal bar doesn't work (always empty) but it's acturally working
FM Radio (No FM Radio app in image)
Only one SIM is working at the moment
VoLTE not working (need another fixes)

A : You have flashed Spaget X instead of Spaget 3.0. Reinstall again

Q : Everything on my screen is so small [J730 only]
A : Go to Settings > Developer settings > Set screen density to 411

A : No, Samsung has their own libs, for now no apps can use front flashlight. Back flashlight still works

A : With some tests and some cycles, it will be better than stock due to optimzations

And i've not found the MIUI-Patch.zip, only sGSI-Patch.zip

What android version is this? Can i flash the official magisk? There's no camera stretch bug? Like other gsi rom?

I don't use VoLTE, so I couldn't test if it works. Can you tell me which Magisk module you used?

Updated FAQ and sGSI patch. I forgot to add an important fix in patch, so anyone using this MIUI, reflash the new patch right now :good:

I tried again, followed all the steps as requested. On the first boot, I restarted the phone after approximately 30 seconds. But I still bootloop. I'm using Project Spaget 3.0, but I can't find a topic in the forum. Could you send me your Project Spaget zip file?

nfc not working. I installed the fix on the twrp and it failed, I had to install the fix when I started the cell phone so that it did not give me an error and it appears as a module installed in magisk but it does not work
