THIS ROM IS PORTED FROM REDMI NOTE 4
I have ported AOSP for the Redmi Pro mainly because I wanted to try with another base (not the Apollo Lite) to see if more bugs were fixed. In this case I used the AOSP made by Cofface (thanks for this ROM) for the Redmi Note 4. The ROM is slightly better than the CM13 in terms of bugs.
First I will post the bugs. Please read this before flashing the ROM.

Note about headphones: the phone recognises the headphones and the buttons are working, however the sound comes out of the speaker and not from the headphones.
If someone tries this ROM and finds a bug not listed here I will add it to the list. Soon I will start working on the bugs listed above to see if we can get a stable AOSP 6.0.1

I don't know anything about making a custom rom but if there is anything you need from me. I'll provide you with my help. I really want to experience an AOSP based rom in our Redmi Pro.

the kernel sources for mediatek devices are hard to get, maybe if somebody do a thread on miui forums and it gets much viewed something might happen

This rom isnt created by me it is created by #reichmyu on xiaomi.eu ....I will say him to try liveboot maybe it shows something

About modem...
Is there a chance to enable additional LTE bands on this device, whether using you ROM or any other? As far as I'm concerned, digging into the modem files may let us enable those missing bands. Some phones that share the SoC have other LTE bands enabled... Hope this is the case for the Redmi Pro

I've been working on a AOSP-CAF version for kiwi. This is started from kernel and device tree by @crpalmer & @BadDaemon aka Micheal W so thanks a lot to them for the bringup. I've just modified it to work with AOSP. This is pure AOSP and no more features will be added, so kindly Don't request it.
This version is nearly stable. DUAL SIM works .Still, Flash this at your own risk.

this rom is so Stable , i got 6/5hours Screen on with normal daily usage , so perfect @gopinaidu77 :good: :fingers-crossed:
i found little bug : when you play video in (Telegram) or (Instagram {Includes Story}) you hear just sound and screen is totally freeze , but in MXplayer everything is OK . . .

Same here with the video issue, in Whatsapp in my case

Lol seriously? None of the roms have volte, and it is unlikely they will anytime soon, unless Huawei gives this device the Emui 5 update, which they probably never will.

Hey thanks for replying! Does any roms at least have Wifi calling?

I don't think so. Not without using a 3rd party messenger, like Skype. Of course, I could be wrong, that's just to the best of my knowledge.

Hey there, I've been using this rom for awhile, and I've found 2 problems.
1. For some reason, video playback on YouTube doesn't work at all. Really weird, since it will load video previews, comments, etc. It just won't play videos. Same problem on Instagram.
2. Also, I have have an "overcounted" bug taking around 30 percent of battery life daily. Really weird.

It works for other supported devices but those who know me from the other devices I own know that I don't like to use OTA. Maybe I will when we are no longer beta.

no twrp is working perfectly, better to do a clean flash using fastbootd mode.

Very good Rom! Even passing safetynet with root.

No, opcam not included and only oos10 cam supported. Google is default dialer.

Flashing from Oos 10.3.8. It gets stuck on the unlocked bootloader warning.

android 12 does not have widgets. There is no google feed. I didn't like the camera program. It would be better with a pixel launcher. I wish you continued success

You need to give a logcat and dmesg from boot and we can try to solve SDcard issues

Hi all, post here Gcam version you are using. I found and i am using this, without particular settings: BSG 8.1 GVp Snapdragon Version Choose this: MGC_8.1.101_A9_GVp_lib_snap.apk Results are quiet well. Hope to see yours. Cheers.
