I brought the Asus zenfone 2 two weeks ago, yesterday I finally got the phone, but now I want to upgrade the firmware, I got the 2.18.40 version, what is the new version and what version in the new version? Thank you all.

I'm using ZE551ML 4GB/64GB and latest update is WW_2.20.40.139_20151104.

Then the latest version is "2.20.40.139" go to Settings > About > System Update > Check Update.

I try, but the sistem dont tell me nothing, only make a search, but dont even say if it área new version

Most likely you have CN sku model with broken WW firmware sideloaded to it.
Use this guide to resolve the issue. It will not wipe your apps or settings, but I recommend doing factory reset after you complete the guide.

Just check the auto update in settings, the last firmware for 551ML ends with no. 139, something like .40.139 if i'm correct

darn, you might want to check if your phone is a world wide version? or is it specifically made for some countries?
one solution: try checking the asus apps on Google and make sure they're uptoday.
another solution: flash the update yourself through recovery, I have no idea about this method because I don't want to root my phone :fingers-crossed:

I follow the steps un the post on the reply of DiGecko, i really want to say thankyou for you support.
My cellphone comes. With a ww firmware and rrecovery vversion, I don't know what ccauses the issue, but I manually update via adb.
I have problems with the recovery version in the post, the icons and status bar increase their size,but I iinstall the Z008 version instead the Z00A, and now is nI pproblem. I have a ltitle issue with some aops crashing sometimes, but all work fine. Thank you an guys

Lollipop and Marshmallow Firmware for X800 CN

Hi Guys,
Made these out of personal need, but might be useful for someone else, I had some trouble trying Lollipop and Marshmallow ROM version, because of the different Firmware between them, so decided to share these TWRP flashable Firmware, so now, if you are going do downgrade from Marshamallow to Lollipop ROM like CM12 from BetaHydri, just flash first the Lollipop firmware, if you are going to try CM13 ROM and you are on Lollipop Firmware, just flash the Marshmallow Firmware, simple and easy.
THIS IS ONLY FOR LETV X800 (CN) CHINESE VERSION
Before flashing, make a backup just to be safe tried on my X800 CN version and it's working great
DOWNLOAD
Lollipop 13S Firmware CN
Marshmallow 16S Firmware

HI, i am currently on Cuoco92's 17s firmware. How do i go back to the latest stock ROM? Do i just flash the new firmware?

Should one still wipe /system in order to have a proper flash?

hello hugorp thanks for the post, i got a question atm im using mm cuoco 17s (cn version) but i want to go back to lolipop and install a clean bugless cm12 but when i go back to cm12 my imeis are gone. if i download and flash the lolipop rom you upload is it gonna be ok ?

Can you Convert CN Version Phone to Global Version via flashing rom?

i just broke my Asus Rog 2 wondering if i buy CN Version if i can flash Global rom like we could with ASUS ROG 2... or anyone with phone should i skip and buy ASUS ROG 3 which is coming out shortly.
I understand NFC not in CN Version

As with ROG2 had to change vendor fingerprint via root first just want to check i can flash straight to Global with out all the bricking that is happening. aso do you find it a good build quality?

Be warned: The download speed is very slow today as this is a brand new release and everyone is downloading at once.

Hi Sir Sam,
Is there any special technique for me to successfully flash Global ROM in my RM5G CN ROM? Tried this version as well but I'm stuck in 25% and an error message keeps popping up saying that the installation was aborted (something like that). Is there any setting I have to turn on or off for this to work?
I'm currently on CNCommon_v6.23

The reason its failing is because you have a later version of the rom already.
6.23 is more up to date than 4.13
If you wish to change to a lower rom you would need to flash via the recovery menu.
If it still fails, you can use the fastboot bypass method to install TWRP and flash from there instead.
If you use the bypass method you dont unlock you bootloader. And flashing the official rom via twrp will overwrite twrp after a successful flash. Making it stock once more.

Yes the rom has been released on official xiaomi.eu but not fastboot rom
So i supposed someone there has found the workaround but not made public yet
Just asking if there are anyone who knows it
If its fastboot rom then i do understand that to install using twrp not yet available but thats not the case
Unlike mi11 they rollout the fastboot version

I have received 12.0.3.0 via OTA. If it has been uploaded on a site you can download zip and then install via updater (click many times on "12", then you see in 3 dots in the right corner "install package...")
