Hi there,
i tested all the latest 6.0.x ROMs in Developers Thread and found mordesku's [GEEHRC][6.0.1_r43][OFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix M v5.6.9 [2016-05-23] most suitable for my needs.
So far i'm really pleased with the ROM. After applying the Sensor Fix ti's working really nice'n'smooth!
Now i got some little Questions:
1. On home screen > menu button > gear wheel on the right opens the startscreen settings just as the three dots (" .·. ") above it, is that a bug? on all other ROMs i used it opens the android settings. is that a bug? can i fix it?
2. in the android 5 ROM i used before, there were many settings for "time" display on status bar. is that easily patchable to this ROM? i just want to see seconds on status bar. how do i achieve it? (by searching i found something about LGG2 Deodexed Stock LGSystemUI.apk but i am not sure if it is applicable to optimus G)
3. LGOG stock ROM has inbuild am/fm radio function which isnt present in CustomROMs 6.0.x, can this readded in any easy way.
Thanks alot for your time and answers!
sorry if these are dumb questions/wrong subforum or anything, i'm not that familiar with android dev/ xda forum.
greetings, Cecilium
Recently I've moved from CM13 to the stock OxygenOS (3.2.8, latest MM based), and so far I don't miss (so much) most of the missing functions as far as they might be achieved with Xposed modules. But I still can't get rid off one annoying thing - enlarged first row in Quick Settings panel.
- There's no way to disable it in OxygenOS itself (at least I didn't found that option)
- Styling Quick Settings with "Android N-ify" (both v0.2 from Xposed repo and latest build from Jenkins) is way to bugged with this non-AOSP ROM
- Disabling "Dual Mode" for tiles in GravityBox doesn't change anything
- Disabling "Enlarge first row" option in "Qs X tiles per row" module also doesn't work
Of course I've tried all of the above separately, with many tries and reboots.
If anyone of you know a solution for this just let me know. Thank you in advance!

couldn't you simply tick it off? Pull out quick settings, click edit title, swipe right, tick enlarge first row

Thank you for your reply. Currently I'm using OOS 4, but as I remeber at OOS 3 there wasn't such an option "like enlarge first row", so there was no way to disable it.
Since every aosp Rom (last was Pixel Experience) gets laggy after some time, I decided to go to miui again, since I never had lag problems with miui.
My GF's RN4 was faster than my RN5 running PE 9.0 so I said it's time for a change.
On miui I only hated the notification lag (or no notification at all) and the, for example reply in statusbar not working like in aosp.
So, since they changed it in miui 10.3 (maybe even before?), I was quite happy with almost everything.
What I am missing is the "swipe up" to Google search, or swipe right from home screen to Google search.
I managed to deactivate the App-Vault (swipe right from home) but I dont know, how to set Google search instead of that miui search at "swipe up from home screen".
Is there a chance to do it?
Or set Google search to "swipe right from home screen"?
I haven't found an option to change the swipe gestures.
I still miss some other stuff from aosp Roms, since they are all "Google based" but miui is miui and I guess you can't have everything.
I'm on Xiaomi.eu 10.3 MIUI, Magisk installed.
Thanks!
EDIT:
With Google search I meant the Google assistant / Google Now too. I mean, it's standard feature with aosp Roms so I guess you know what I mean.. The Google search with some news underneath the search bar.
Goggle feed is impossible to put in miui launcher
Somebody has manged to put in poco launcher but without solution

Aargh, too bad.
And is there a chance to disable that search or set anything else at that place?
That "feature" is just not necessary for me.
Actually you can enable swipe up to google search back. You just need to clear default of the mi browser in setting > installed apps > browser > clear default. You may notice that the browser doesn't have any default. Just tap on it and the swipe up gesture will open google search again.
How i notice this? Cause everytime there is mi browser update. The swipe up gesture revert back to that xiaomi browser.

Sadly not working for me.. Maybe you don't use the same version?
Also, another question.
If I flash global beta, am I going to get Google search?
If so, what are the benefits (if any) of global beta Rom if you compare it to Xiaomi.eu?
I think, Xiaomi.eu Roms are bit more optimized and debloated or?

Global beta is more stable than the stable channel (which i use currently - build 10.0.6). While there isn't any big difference between xiaomi.eu and global beta since they use the same build except for ads (which can be disable by unistalling msa apps with adb debloater). And yes, you get all google apps in global beta
Btw, can you clear default for google apps and google chrome to see if it working?

Nope, still not working.
Well I guess I have to live with it. It's not that big problem, since I can start the Google feed with the widget.
It would be good though, if you could disable the miui-search but if you have no idea how to do it, then it's alright..
thanks though!
Hey, I had the same problem and solved it! (sorry for digging up an 8 months old thread)
Get xiaomi debloater and uninstall Browser and Search (com.android.search), and voilá. At least it did work for me, on Mi 9, Xiaomi.EU rom.

actually You can enable swipe up google search if you r a root user..
you have to follow some step
step 1: reinstall the rom
step 2: root
step 3: immediately install lucky patcher
step 4: uninstall the system app browser
done!!
google swip up gesture will enable for forever until you reflash the rom.
if you follow step 3 and 4 now without reflash rom the swipe up gesture will show app not installed..
I done this before I am using swipe up google...

You can do it without root, usb debugging adb allows you to uninstall system app without root, and please do not mention L* P* here, it's against the rule to mention that app on xda.

I was able to use the following command to remove the Mi Browser from my Note 7 running Miui 11.0.7.0
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.mi.globalbrowser

I just wanted to let other users know that this still works on MIUI 12 ! (Mi 9 Lite)
Thanks for the hint! I tried to uninstall Mi Browser via ADB (as I did before), but that didn't work this time. Your post saved my day!
Hello all, first post here at XDA . Been lurking in the weeds for many years.
I recently installed Lineage OS 16 and GApps Arm64 on my HTC10.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/xiaomi-redmi-note-4-snapdragon-roms-kernels-recoveries--other-development/rom-lineageos-16-0-t3830602
Upon the first boot after installing Lineage I see all the default icons at the bottom of the home screen. Then the instructions say reboot to TWRP and flash GApps.
Upon next system boot after GApps install all the home screen Icons are gone except the camera and phone icon. Is there a way to fix this?
In addition, the main problem here is when pressing the home button and choosing "Pixel Launcher" the service stops and crashes.
Any advice would be appreciated in how to go about fixing Pixel Launcher. I did make sure I'm using the Pie 9.0 GApps and Arm-64 Architecture for my HTC 10.
In the mean time I'm going to continue reading the above linked thread, but it's about 110 pages, so I wanted to ask in case the answer isn't in there.
Thanks all, and I hope as I learn I can help out others. I'm a network guy but when I was in college I took C++, Java, and Data Structures and was top of my classes so maybe I can use some knowledge to help
I'm having the same pixel launcher problem
Install this module with magisk and pixel launcher will work normaly... But you will not be able to use trebuchet anymore

Before I saw your reply I ended up using "CPL" Custom Pixel Launcher from the Play Store. Seems to work good. Might try your suggestion as well just to see which one I like better.:good:
Fixed
I rebooted into TWRP, copied on my computer the file "/data/system/packages.xml" edited under <package name="com.google.android.apps.nexuslauncher" ... and <perms>, I added the following lines:
<item name="android.permission.STATUS_BAR" granted="true" flags="0" />
<item name="android.permission.MANAGE_ACTIVITY_STACKS" granted="true" flags="0" />
(watch the screenshot)
saved the new xml and put back in /data/system/ with TWRP file manager... and the crash was fixed, no need to install other stuff!
Do someone have found a way to use floating windows without gaming mode ? I've searched any activities related to that using this, but I haven't found anything obvious.
EDIT : i might have an idea, replace stock quickstep with the one in the launcher of color os 12 using quickswitch. But i need an apk of color os 12 launcher that have a different package name as both launchers have the same package name.
EDIT2 : as both launchers have basically same set of features, i just decided to replace OOS 12's stock launcher by this from Realme UI and now i can enable floating windows by tapping 3 dots in recents menu or by doing a gesture from bottom of the sceen to the top. If someone could post here the launcher apk from oppo or oneplus(color os12), it would be awesome.
thanks working on c.44 any new update?
How ca wen open multiple windows?
How revert back?
