Hello everybody,
After the latest full update from Oxygen Updater I caught a strange bug on my HD1900. Mobile data doesn't switch on after losing the Wi-Fi. Helps only switching off and on the mobile data toggle (not always), or resetting the APN. Kinda strange bug, never seen on any of my devices.
Does anybody know the cure for this bug other than factory reset?
Thanks in advance for the help!
Try wiping your network settings.

I have the same issue, and this is one of the only posts about it. Have you found a way to fix it? I'm at a point where I'm about to just sell this. I can't get anything done. Do you by chance have T-Mobile?
Same issue. T-Mobile here. Doesn't disturb me enough to sell the phone, haven't had the issue since going to a custom ROM. I'm sure it'll be fixed with OTA's or whatever.
Hello
i have the same problem
i am on VIPNET Croatia
is some fix coming soon
it is very annoying
Really nice to know I'm not the only one. But my god, it's getting worse as time goes on. I'm at the point where I can't even get data unless I reboot the phone 5-6 times, and only for a few seconds. I am completely out of ideas.

please can you tell me witch coustom rom did you put in htc M8
and solve the data issue
i am going crazy with this phone
and i want to put same coustom rom like you
to get problem fix
please help
I have been using my m8 since the day I got it back in early April and have never experienced that issue. I am also on tmo but have the dev edition with stock rom but I live in the city so I always get a strong and good signal.
Possible solution
My M8 worked great for a month when about a week ago I've started having serious issues with the HSPA data.
After working great for a few minutes the data stopped working.
The H icon showed that traffic was sent from the phone but no traffic received by the phone.
Sometimes the data connection was restored by itself and sometimes I has to toggle the data connection off/on to have it restored.
It both cases the data connection failed again after several minutes.
All the diagnostics app showen that there was hspa connection.
After trying almost anything I could think of I found out what causes my problem:
It's the F**** NFC!!!
I've forgot that a week ago I've disabled the NFC thinking this will save battery life (though the battery life is great).
Turning the NFC on (followed by a power-down/power up cycle) solved all the data connection problem.
I've verified several times that NFC disable is indeed the cause of my problem.
Hope this helps others on this thread.
I have been using ZF2 4gb 2.3 ver for around 10 days now and didn't have any issues yet.
But since morning it has been dropping Wifi and only connects back when I unlock it. Anyone else facing this issue?

On second thought, I updated all the apps yesterday (for first time since I got the phone, even though I installed system updates as soon as I booted it) and last night was the first time i noticed that it had dropped Wifi signal. I am hazarding a wild guess but it's due to some system app bug that was introduced in some recent update. Hopefully it'll soon be rectified.

Make sure that WiFi is allowed to be on during sleep in the WiFi settings.
Also recommend using ASUS ZenUI app called ASUS Support. There are several helpful tips with basic troubleshooting techniques for your device which includes WiFi troubleshooting.
If still not resolved, recommend performing a hardware reset including wipe cache partition. For hardware reset/wipe cache partition instructions please see the following: http://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1011956/

Oh well, never had to do that ever before. Should have thought of that with me being techie and all. Thanks for help, no I'll go and find a corner to hide in shame.
For me text wont come in when your on wifi after reboot. You must use data to send text then you can reconnect wifi. I was not getting any text and found out this.

Out of the blue, my t-mobile data connection refuses to be co;nected.
I've tried four things. Reflash the stock rom, reflash the kernel, fastboot an updated baseband/radio.img, and reset network preferences.
What I have yet to try, is factory reset which I'm hoping not to have to do.
So, I'm just hoping this has possi ly happened to a pixel 3xl user who has found a solution without having to perform a reset.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading
P. S. I would provide more information, I just have no clue.
Network settings reset maybe. settings>reset>network settings reset>reset settings>pin>reset settings
Been a while (years), but if I remember correctly it may delete your bluetooth and wireless settings and devices.
Have you tried flipping on a VPN?
You have data on Wifi right?
Have you tried changing your DNS settings?

I didn't find one exactly I don't think. You're going to think I'm an idiot but I downloaded connection stabilizer from the play store.
Like, when my issue (stock 9) occurs the late and bars are still visible but it has an x as well. This app has helped refresh , I guess, the connection.
And removing the Sim had helped.

Interesting, but whatever it takes. You could always disable the app and reboot to see if it makes any difference with no other changes.

I like that idea. I also have lte discovery from the play store which I was using to reset the data connection previous to installing the other app and, again, IDK, as I've never experienced a data issue like this before.
Anyway, thanks for taking an interest.

Let me know how it goes.
Ok so I've come from a Note10+ with Pie, now kinda dead, to a Note 10+ with 11 (whatever they call that).
Play Store, Ebay and others will not connect over data, they insist on the Wifi network or there's no network according to them.
Of course Data is on etc, etc.
You would thnk by the 11th try at a mobile O/S they might have got it right by now....but then Microsoft...well I won't go there.
Any idea's why they are ignoring a perfectly good data connection that Opera is fine with and others?
Thank you.

Is this happening after upgrading?
In playstore setting check the app download is enabled only mobile data or not, if it set to wifi only, set it for mobile data and wifi{similar options}, try clearing app data
Settings/applications/playstore/storage or data, clear it

Nope, won't play the game.
I noticed that the setting "Mobile data only apps" is greyed out for some reason, it will not let me tell it to allow apps to use data.
Why on earth would it be greyed out?
Of course it is set to off.
Any idea's about that?
Thank you.

I did try as you suggested but it hasn't helped unfortunately.
I really don't feel like resetting the phone, its only new and I just finished setting it up!
But it is starting to annoy me now.
check under settings/connections/data usage that data saver is off
Lol, I stayed on Pie... no issues.
Android 11 is known to be a pain.
If you have unlimited an data plan, disable wifi.
Clear system cache and do a network reset.
Factory reset...
If you didn't do a factory reset after upgrading to 11 or if you used SmartSwitch, factory reset.
If you can't find the cause of this issue suspect malware... factory reset.
Rootkit infections are very rare unless you do something stupid but they can happen.
Android 9 and above are not susceptible to the "immortal" rootkits, a factory reset will purge any infection on the internal memory.
If doubt, factory reset asap... it's the only way to be sure. Shotgun get it done.
Phone is brand new, my Pie one is dead.
This new Note came with 11 on it.
I do not know if it was from Samsung like this or if the seller upgraded it hoping to help sell his stock, make it seem more appealling?
Anyway I'm doing a factory reset on the weekend and see what happens.
Thanks for all your help.
I'll let you know how it goes.

The 10+ all were loaded with Pie for the whole product run as far as I know.
Keep an eye on it... see is the reset gets it.
So it turns out its my firewall. In Pie if I allowed an app internet access in the firewall everything was all good.
For some reason (I have emailed the Dev) in Android 11 allowing an app internet access is not working correctly, internet via WiFI works but cellular data does not, even though it should, data is available for use and app has permission to use it. The firewall is still blocking somehow. Turning the firewall off immediately restores internet via cell data.
I would presume the firewall app only needs an update for Android 11 or I may have to get a new firewall if that does not happen.
Cheers for all the help everyone.
Hi again, more about this issue.
It seems my problem is caused by Google with Android 11. It appears they changed something to mess up firewalls because they stop their ads getting through (1 of the reasons why I use one).
I have started using a new firewall - Netguard, so far it seems to be doing what it should be doing and I have cell data back for allowed programs and its blocking disallowed apps correctly.
Hope this helps somebody along the way.

I have this weird bug since day 1 where some apps and websites never load using mobile data but working on Wi-Fi. At first I thought it's my data that acts up but the thing is it's working when I turn on my VPN:

Anyone who got the same problem or an idea for a fix please? Thank you.
