Two years ago I purchased a PX5 Rockchip rk3368, 10.1 inch display, 4gb ram 32 gb ram Octacore Android head unit from Coika (Andoid 8.0). All was good until this morning when she didn’t sound at all. I was try to reinstal the Andoind, purchased from Hal9k, ModInstaller Pro 2. After install Android 10 i hoped the sound will going back but it did not happen. Can somone to help me? Any sugestion is welcome.
P.S.: no beep, no sound on radio, no sound in youtube. no sound at all... I guess the TDA7851 amplifier is problem.
Thanks

Probably.
Old post but maybe it will help some other people.
I have px30 VW android HU from ISUDAR, equiped with dsp from factory. About year ago sound stopped working - no beep, no sound at all from speakers. Same situation on rca outputs.
I`ve changed the tda7851L to new one (cut-out old one, desoldered pins, soldered new one) but no luck - still no sound.
While checking the circuit, i discovered that there is only 0,5V on enable pin of the poweramp chip. I left that for almost a year Last week i`ve decided to investigate problem again.
Long story short - there are two line audio drivers (SGM8905). Both of them have enable pins too. One from the pair had partially shorted enable pin (60 ohms), that caused the big voltage drop on enable line, so the amplifier was not able to start. Changed the faulty one and second one too (it was broken too - to small amplification).
Now the sound is back.
Hi, got the same problem after 4 years of working. The sound just stopped working when I started the car. Also my working back camera stopped working. I did not change any wires within this time. I tried a factory reset. Sound and camera still wont work. Checked the fuses all good. Replaced with original stereo I got the sound back so no amp problems. What could be the problem?

Hi,
Fairly strange issue and it's quite lengthy so bear with me. 3 weeks ago I had my Eonon GA8162 head unit professionally installed and I believed everything was fine. Controls worked, reversing camera, google maps and I was getting sound from all speakers using the radio. However, once I got home and installed Google play music I realised I was only getting sound from the front left speaker. The front right and rear left were extremely low about 5% of the front left, and there was no sound at all from the rear right. I tested this with a few other music apps and the results were identical. I then tried bluetooth, first a phone call and sound was produced correctly in both front speakers. When using bluetooth music, the sound issue returned affecting the same speakers. Lastly I tried a CD and sound played in all speakers, albeit it slightly lower in the rear speakers.
To add more fun to this tale, a few days later I was driving and listening to Google music with the speaker faults and an hour into my journey the front right magically also started to play at full power. The rear speakers were still low but I had sound in the two front speakers and that was an achievement!! I had an appointment back at the car stereo shop the same day for them to investigate, so went along anyway. Turned the engine off, went in the store, came out to show them the miracle, started the car and the sound problem was back again. In the three weeks of owning the stereo the front right has magically corrected itself only once more, failing again after the engine is turned off completely.
I've tried all the obvious things- the balance settings, soft reset, hard reset and today Eonon sent me a software update to fix it and it's still the same after installing it. In fact it's worst as I'm not getting any noticeable sound from the three struggling speakers unless at extremely high volume and even then it's a struggle to hear something. All the speakers in the car are stock, there isn't a subwoofer or external amp and the Eonon headunit replaced the stock stereo. The stereo is plug and play more or less, so there were no wires to figure out. I have seen comments pop up here and there about doing something with the Amp CTR wire, but that seems to be for people who have external amplifiers. Am I missing something or am I looking to deep and it's just a faulty unit which needs to be replaced?
Any help or advice with this appreciated.
Thanks
i have the same unit ( is for Ford Mondeo , right ? ) and i have instaled by my self ....in your place , first i will check if with the original stereo car the speaker works well . If its work , in my opinion , the Eonon unit is definitely faulty . If they work the same way , problem is with the speaker or wires ... i have it problem with the front speaker also and i replaced with a after market one ( Blaupunkt ) some time ago ...
Hi GabiDan. I've since agreed to return the unit with Eonon. It's taken an age to get to this point due to the time difference, their 'interesting' replies and needing to satisfy the various troubleshooting bits they wanted me to do.
Up until this point I'd done the following- soft and hard reset, completely unplugged the unit and reconnected it and most recently installed a patch provided by Eonon. None of which worked. Since removing the Eonon unit and reconnecting the factory Ford 6000CD stereo, sound is fine out of all speakers. So it's definitely a faulty Eonon unit. Everything else was completely fine with the unit, none of the woes I often hear about i.e. sat nav, reverse camera and so on.
Hopefully I have better luck with the replacement unit. Will keep you posted.

Hi guys
I am thinking of buying this unit for my mondeo 2012.its the facelift model and i am considering if it will fit. My radio is the ford 6000cd so i am pretty sure it will fit. My dash is the black colour not the silver on the old models. Does anyone have the facelift model?
Is it a good unit as it shows or are there any known problems? Thanks for the help
Hi just read about your sound problems ,I'm having the same issue with a different model of eonon (GA7153A) the interesting thing is that it is a completely different cpu and it is different version of andriod . its got me worried that they can send me a new one. Is your replacement still working?

According to Eonon's website, it only supports stereos in Mondeo models between 2008 and 2011. Double check on their website or the attached screenshot to see if the stereo you currently have installed is the correct one.

The replacement stereo has been absolutely fine. My sound problem hasn't returned and I haven't experienced any of the common issues spoken about with defective units.
I think all in all, the process of me retuning the item and receiving my replacement took about 7-10 days. Maybe less.
Go for it and the sooner the better. As they'll ask you to do diagnostic tests, try a firmware patch to fix it, etc. Before you get to the return stage.
Hi.
I recently bought an MTCE PX5 based head unit for my french Peugeot 308 (2009).
The manufacturer seems to be Klyde as the version number (MTCE_KLD_V2.88b_1) says.
The installation in the car was pretty easy and plug & play thanks to your help on the main PX5 thread.
Still I have a few questions that you might have answers for
First, the head unit sounds pretty crappy.
My previous Parrot Aseroid Smart (slowish Android 2.3 / 512 MB) had a way much better sound output quality.
I will try to flash one of Cs-x's sound patchs, see if it goes better with that update.
The main problem comes from a lot of noises I get from the head unit "gzzzz" "pshhhh", it reminds me of the good old times with the computers ****ty front panel audio
When I call someone, they barelly hear me. Have you guys been experiencing such noises ?
--> Fixed by flashing one of Cs-x's patched firmwares
Then there are my rear sensors.
They are successfully detected and provided to the head unit by the CANBUS decoder provided by the seller, but they don't beep !
The seller didn't provide the amplified external speaker needed so I must do it the DIY way...
I managed to solder RCA connectors to that audio signal and I can hear the beeps when I switch for AV1 on the unit : good... but my back camera is connected to the CAM1 input wich is automatically displayed when I engage the reverse gear.
Is there a way to ask my head unit to switch to AV1 instead of CAM input when I engage reverse ?
That would be perfect as I will get the video from the back camera AND the audio from the sensors !
An other issue : my car's service counter is going crazy !
As I drove a few meters, the service counter droped near a thousand kilometers since next service.
This will result in service light flashing in a few days, for at least 12 month until my next real service :
Any idea ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Damien
Ok guys, I managed to fix my first issue simplt by flashing one of those Cs-x sound patched firmwares !
Thanks for that !
Any advice for getting sound & video for ma rear sensors & camera ?
Bump, any idea ?
I got an other big issue with my canbus decoder...
See first post (photos), my service odometer seems to freak out a bit
Interesting as I just looked at this company for one for my Mazda CX7..
Just sent them an email on it..
Want the 4meg 32g version..
Seems also while they work with the Bose system already the reverse cam that comes with the car may not work.. need to confirm..
Hi Dgcruzing
Did you have any response from Belsee ?
Usually they answer within 2 days.
Yes, they popped back an answer.
But ended up going with a Dasaita.
Seems plenty of resellers of thier unit across the usual channels.. so with luck it all goes to plan..
Rear sensors
I have a Peugeot 208 and Dasaita unit, so slightly different and this may not help. But I had issues with reverse sensors and did not realise I had to install the supplied speaker. The beeps from the reverse sensors do not come out of the main speakers in the car, only the extra speaker provided.
Thanks Downerhouse for your message.
Indeed, my unit has this connector too, but there was no speaker in shipped the box
I tried many speakers and piezzo buzzers, but none of them worked.
I managed to attach a RCA connector to this output so I could at least plug the rear sensors sound output into my AUX input... but that's really not practical...
Bump
New ideas.
I read in a french forum that I could easily modify the car's ECU so the rear parking sensors output directly through the cars COM2000 (that's the direction switch, behind the steering wheel) instead of the classical audio circuit. I will check this.
My unit:
PX5 4GB
Android 8.0
Custom ROM: Malaysk_v3.3 20190201
MCU Version: MTCE_HT_V2.84_1
My problem:
I bought this unit 2 months ago. Was only using the RCAs. About 3 days ago the audio stopped working. Everything else on the unit functions correctly.
I took the unit out of my vehicle and tested all the connections. The RCAs (left and right on front, back, and sub), and the Ampped wires.
Through the amp wires I can hear the keypress sound "beep" but no other audio from any apps.
I reinstalled the ROM and it did not fix anything.
I was thinking that the MCU board is broken in some way. I was going to try and reroute the audio through USB. Possibly via computer or a USB DAC device. My computer does not recognize the device. (Maybe someone can help with this too.)
I also tried to connect the unit to a Bluetooth speaker, but it seems that the unit does not support Bluetooth output. (Or I'm just doing it wrong)
If anyone can give me some advice on what to do, I would be more than appreciative!!!
Thank you.

I'm not certain, but it does sound like the audio output chips are blown if you are getting no audio from any output source on your head unit. Try using the speaker out wires as normal without going through the amp and do a factory reset once they are connected. The sound coming from your button press could just be through the sub output and not left and right channel. Stupid question, I'm guessing you have checked the speakers are still working ok without going through the amp?.
Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
Yeah, I've tried every output. All the RCAs and all the channels of the on-board amp. No sound from any.
I'm gonna call it, and say the Rockchip is not sending audio or data to the motherboards audio chip. Or something like that.
I contacted AmaseAudio and they said they'll get back with me about a replacement unit.
I hope they come through.

You are under warranty... so ask seller for a replacement

Hello,
First of all sorry for my bad english.
3 years ago i bought this very head unit https://www.amazon.fr/Wekuo-Android-8-0-Lecteur-2015-2016-2017-Autoradio-Bluetooth/dp/B07GH48P59
It's running latest Hal9K Android 9 version.
Since one year back i started using less times my car but i noticed that after a while of driving the speaker would sound weirdly, some coil whine out of the speakers directly, but i never try to solve the problem...
Some months ago i could only start the car, drive 5minand then a very very lound noise from the speakers...
I changed all 4 speakers to brand new Focal.
What is the problem ?? Actually i was testing everything out of the car using a PSU , even changed the thermal compound and add computer fan to my HU...
At first i wasn't able to start the UH with PSU, then i find out because CANBUS i had to hotwire the ACC wire so the HU will start, and it did...
It runs cold as winter..... (which is perfect, and even pluged some speakers and sound is perfect)
but when i plug it back to the car it gets hot even if nothing is being used... and i mean i only plugged it to car power, even speakers were not connected..
Car battery is brand new, same as the one before, (fiat original parts), car alternator is working fine, also the problem is present with engine off or on.
I really thing this is CANBUS related, but from where ? from the can bus little red box adapter ? something else from the car itself ? ? actually this is my second HU on this car, and the old one i was able to start it with PSU without bypass ACC from CANBUS
It's a Fiat Tipo from 2016, it's original radio was the uconnect 5. Should i try to connect everything together and perform a new proxy alignment using fiat multiecuscan ?
I am getting very angry because this situation, i hate driving and not having music lol
If i can't to anything i thing i will erase the canbus from the HU and just use ACC, but i will lose canbus and steering wheel buttons as well..
PS: i sent message to the HU seller (i don't expect any answer after 3 years) because 2 years ago i chose bad MCU file and had some problems but after hal9K helped me finding the original one (i think) but i had a few bugs at the time i don't remember now, but i don't think this is the problem but if ' could find the original file i could do that aswell..
And actually i want to update to android 10 from hal9K.. but first i need to solve this problem.
Someone already had this king of problem ??
Thank you in advance.
Hello folks,
I have a PX6 unit with Android 10 in a VW T5 Multivan, 2007.
Everything except the FM radio worked fine for a few months (very bad reception) but I was happy because I only use navigation and sound over bluetooth from my phone.
One day I got some noice from the speakers as a small warning before a big BOOOM a few seconds later. It is a really loud "discharge" from the speakers and obviously not good for the unit. Feels like a mini thunderstorm inside my car The head unit goes back to normal after the big bang but the noice starts building up again and a few minutes later, the same thing.
After the third BOOOM the amplifier broke and I could no longer hear any sound from apps and bluetooth (FM radio was still working)
I contacted the seller and he sent me a new amplifier. Hard work for me, but I desoldered the old one and replaced it. It worked and I was back to normal for a while.
Today, the big BOOOOM was back.
Any idea what can cause this behavior and how to solve it before I burn my second amp?
TIA,
David

Ooops. I remember incorrectly after I double checked. It is an MTCE unit. Which forum is the best for my question?

You're in the correct forum.
Check speakers / wiring and speaker impedance. If unsure seek advice from reputable local installer
