[ROM][8/12/11] MIUI-darkspadez (v1.8.12)

Here is my version of the MIUI ROM. I just feel that other devs take too long to post theirs so here is mine. The only credit I take is combining the ROM and the EN Lang pack all other credits go to the MIUI team.

I will update this every Friday once available from MIUI. I will not fix anything in this rom unless it is major. This is all stock based MIUI no other apps or anything.

Fix rounding issue of CPU frequency showing 1000.0MB where it should be e.g. 1.0GHz
Fixed system update problem, package not found after download completed
Phone:
Optimisation of add, delete and edit from call log
Optimisation of unknown caller notification information
Optimisation of hang up method and popup notifications
Fix in some cases SIM card FC problems
Fix after call is disconnected the screen remains blank for several seconds
Fix setting network type does not save settings after restart
Fix ‘More settings’ are not automatically read immediately
Fix in some cases viewing phone status information causes FC
Fix in some cases devices which have wipe data get FC when opening dialer

Optimised tips of contact editing interface, no tip will be shown without editing
Optimized when you add a new contact, if the input is empty, a prompt box will pop up to ask if you want to input or cancel
Optimisation of progress meter when deleting contact
Fixed false prompt while editing contacts
Fixed In some cases after you remove the contact, the call record of this contact in the dial-up list doesn’t change correspondingly.
Fix exchange account contacts group contacts causes FC
Fix inserting new named empty contact shows incorrectly in list
Fixed wrong amount of group contacts when only contacts with phone numbers are displayed.
Lockscreen, status bar and notifications:
Optimised lockscreen memory footprint by an average of 80%
Lockscreen optimised to support audio
Optimised to view programs currently in use through the new lock-screen

Optimised full page details, background changes to black

Fix details page preview, exiting full screen preview does not show preview in center of interface
Fix details page click on both sides of the preview into the full-screen preview mode causes errors
Fixed in some cases the “Currently used” icon displays the wrong ringtone selected
Fixed theme details did not show the number of downloads
Music:
Fix response time selecting music functions on lockscreen
Fix in some cases player exiting abnormally when loading
Access controls:
Optimisation of hidden applications, hidden applications are listed at the top of the page for quicker selection and opening
LEDs:
Added support for custom calls, message notification LED color and breathing / blinking frequency (Settings moved to Settings -> Personal)
File Explorer:
Optimise access to files from other applications e.g. themes and music
Optimise category listing interface when SD card is mounted or unmounted
Fix copy, cut and paste for large number of files causes performance issue and FC
Fix copy, cut and paste files in category browsing interface displays incorrect file counts (out of sync)
Backup:
Optimise backup and restore processing
Check internal storage space before recovery
Optimise local backup and restore performance
Optimise local backup of third-party applications
Optimise recovery speed and avoidance of duplicate data synchronisation
Fix list style issues when applying theme backups
Fix issues with backup of alarm settings, restoring invalid data
Fix after successful backup does not automatically lock screen
Fix cloud backup previous backup time displayed as 1970-1-1
Download manager:
Added support to delete downloaded files history individually or by batch
Fix problems with setting Wi-Fi only download still caused download over 3G / GPRS data connection
Settings:
Optimised “base” option adaptation model will not show when there is no base model (8.8)
Optimised “security info” adaptation model in “About phone” will not show if there is no corresponding model (8.8)

So far so good!!!
Just put the dark theme on found here http://www.miuiandroid.com/. I think it looks really smart.

Tested for the first time today...
Amazing UI, it takes the best from iOS and Android ! You definitely need to try it out.
Unfortunately, I'll switch back to Cyanogen because:
No sound at all, it seems that ogg are not played.
Messaging app does not recognize contact numbers with spaces inside
No gallery sync
I hope this will be fixed so I can test that awesome rom !

New update is up. Sorry about last week because of the lang pack delay I had other obligations I needed to do. The only credit I take is combining the ROM and the EN Lang pack all other credits go to the MIUI team. I have also zip aligned all .apks to optimize ram usage.

Apparently it only works with Sense-based roms, even after the patch.

Gallery widget google plus

Hi, I search in many different topics but without answer. I also installed gapps and so on, but still cannot force gallery to show my google plus photos. On stock ROM it just works out of box, right now I use Cyan and there I can't use this feature.
Why I would like to have those photos in gallery app instead of using g+ photo app? Because I want to have a widget on desktop with those photos (with out update of album), and so far it is only method which I found (default gallery widget + Gplus sync). Do you have any ideas how to fix it?

Try clearing data on the app info for gallery and then launch and refresh in the top right menu?

Applocker not working android 9

Just asking if someone can help me or knows something about future patches.
To reproduce the problem:
Settings - utilities - app locker - add some app
Now open that app, you will be asked to enter password or fingerprint
Now close the app and open recent apps, the app is visible, and also you can see an app called applocker
Before Android 9 the locked app would get his content hidden, now this don't work
Also, now recent apps is horizontal and not vertical, seems garbage like iPhone, 3 hours to find an app
Installing a different launcher solves the problem for recent apps.
Installing old oneplus launcher will crash almost all times.
I see that instead of adding new features, oneplus and Google is removing some useful ones and putting copied garbage from iPhone that no one asked about
Can't believe that in 2018/2019 i still need to search for custom rom to get BASIC features for better productivity

Redmi Note 8 Pro Miui 11.0.4.0 change default contact app

In Miui 11.0.4 we got this very bad and ugly google contact app. I installed another app got my contacts in there and it is working fine BUT. other apps that need my contacts can not find them because they are connected to the default google contact app. How can i change that?
I know that i can change default app in manage apps and three dots menu. Problem is that there is no contact app to change.

Question Widgets causing pixel launcher to crash

Since updating to the June build the pixel launcher crashes every time I press on a widget. I've tried deleting the widget and readding it and clearing the cache in pixel launcher. I haven't cleared data yet because I think that will lose all of my home screen setup. Is anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it?

Updates/upgrades can and do break things.
Try -if- possible updating the app.
No easy fix if the app is no longer compatible with the firmware though and hasn't been updated.
Try clearing the data, reinstalling said apps.
Or simply don't use them for the time being.
If another app like Google play Services is used by the problem widget, dependencies, clear it's data.
A factory reset may solve the issue but don't count on it...
My stock N10+ firmware hasn't been updated in 2.5 years, current load is 2 yo, still fast, stable and fulfilling its mission. Security is not an issue. However resolving app updates issues has cost me more wasted time then anything else. All were resolved without a factory reset... easier said than done
Google makes changes for the sake of change alone. All too often not in the end users best interests. Just because you're busy doesn't mean your productive... Gookill.

I just temporarily switched from Nova Launcher Prime to the Pixel Launcher on the June update and clicked on the At a Glance widget, and it loaded the weather fine.
I hope you find an easy solution.
Using any Magisk Modules? If so, disable them, reboot, and try again.

I'll give that a shot. Widgets that open an app work fine but the ones that do an action like pressing play on my Audible widget cause it to crash. I only have some basic magisk modules but I will try disabling them and see if it helps. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm not rooted or nothing and just applied clock wiget to pixel launcher nland opened it worked fine for me no crash must be a magic mod that's efecting you

Here are some widgets I found that have this problem (crashes Pixel Launcher when tapped)
1. Galaxy Buds Manager
2. Habits (blue reload icon) with it's checkbox widget (you must create a habit and select it to reproduce)
3. All Google Fit widgets
In fact most widgets I tried worked, but there are those which crashes every single time you tap on it.
Not sure what is going on.

I just changed from nova again and used the Google fit widget no crash for me at all ilp check to see if I have all apps updated

Maybe try the Habit app too, I have confirmed with another person and it does crash.
Have to create a habit and then add it to the home screen.

You have to create one first in the app and then add the widget

Ok ill give it another go

As can see no crash for me

Uh couldn't upload so done this way no crash for me

I can open the app with any widget but it crashes when the widget has to do something. For example my audible widget will open the app but clicking the play button causes a crash. The same thing happens with Google calendar and my Authy widget.

Sometimes or even often if a simple copy/paste of an image to a post doesn't work, you can download your image to a file, click the Insert image button in the post, click where it says click here, add the image as an attachment, then from the successful attachment you can choose whether to insert the full image or a thumbnail into the post. This works for me almost all the time that pasting directly into the post fails.
So, sounding like the widget problem is with the Pixel Launcher.
