I have a K20 (mi 9t) and just ordered a K40 (poco f3) so was wondering if there's any native to MIUI way for copying my entire setup to my new phone. I mean, apps, desktop and other OS settings, photos and files etc..
If not, what apps or methods do you guys use when you switch phones?
There's an app called Mi Mover
Mi Mover - Apps on Google Play
Transfer files from your old phone to a new Xiaomi device wirelessly
play.google.com
There is also Swift Backup.
Thanks. I'll try MiMover first since it's built in.
lot of bad recent reviews for that app, lost data

Hello there, on other phones (like for instance, the s3,4 and 5 and sony phones) i have debloated the phone using titanium backup/ or es file explorer
I deleted all the google apps i dont need, all the samsung files like anything to do with samsung apps, and any 'test' app, themes etc
my question is.........
on the lg g3, can i delete these files (USING titanium backup) :
the apps that end with TEST?
LG PC suite files?
the smart files i.e smartshare beam etc?
the weather apps? quickmemo app? which lg app?
I'm curious to. I always debloat the stock rom but I wan't to know witch apps can be deleted. I deleted some of them but I wan't know if there are other apps which can be deleted
Yes you can. Rooted, of course. :good:
We know that we can debloat the ROM but we wan't to know ALL the apps that can be removed
So can someone write here all apps that are safe to delete from stock rom?
Read this thread guys: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/debloat-remove-unwanted-apps-make-g3-t2959350
Debloating makes the phone so much faster!

-- new and updated version on "MIUI9 - Removing Bloatware - 98 apps removed !!!"
This script is created for and tested on Redmi 3s Prime ( Global Stable/Beta Rom) but should be fine for Redmi 3s as well.
Use it at your own risk for other Xiaomi Devices.
Prerequisites & Warnings :
********************************************************************************
1. Should have MIUI9 or MIUI8 or MIUI7 rom on Redmi 3S.
2. Should have TWRP installed. (tested on latest 3.1.1 official TWRP)
3. Should have,
a. Nova launcher or any other custom launcher installed. ( System launcher removed in script )
b. Have any keyboard from play store installed and set. ( I use Google Keyboard. Stock keyboards are removed.)4. Create a backup of existing rom.
5. DO NOT FLASH before doing initial setup after clean flash of any new rom. Have atleast one clean reboot before using this.
Few apps which required for one time device setup are removed in this.
6. You CANNOT FACTORY RESET after this.
If you want to do factory reset -
a. Flash full-rom package ( which is named like "miui_HM3SGlobal_7.9.15_08a8541c78_6.0.zip" this) and then do factory reset.
b. Do initial setup again and reboot.
c. install a launcher and a keyboard. Set the keyboard.
d. flash debloater file ( in attachment) again.
********************************************************************************
Applications List :
********************************************************************************
The debloater removes maximum number of unnecessary apps.
The free rom at boot is around 2 GB, so you can guess most services are also removed.
The main apps which are removed on top of Bloatware,
1. Google Apps
a. Chrome
b. Drive
c. Duo
d. Gmail
e. Hangouts
f. Keyboard
g. Maps
h. Google Now
i. Text-to-speech
j. YouTube2. Xiaomi Apps,
a. File explorer
b. FM radio
c. In-built Email app
d. Mi Browser
e. Mi Calendar
f. Mi Cloud
g. Mi Compass
h. Mi Drop
j. Mi Launcher
k. Mi Music
l. Mi Notes
m. Mi Picks
n. Mi Play
o. Mi Scanner
p. Mi Screen Recorder
q. Mi Video Player
r. Mi Wallpaper
s. Weather
t. Mi Spam Call Filter - Never worked for me
u. Xiaomi Calculator
v. Xiaomi Music App
w. Clean master
********************************************************************************
How to Customize for your usage,
********************************************************************************
1. Unzip the attached ZIP file.
2. Locate updater-script file under ".\META-INF\com\google\android" directory.
3. Open with text editor.
4. Put "#" at the start of the app you want to keep.
e.g. You want the system launcher then edit line containing
"delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/MiuiHome");" and replace with
"# delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/MiuiHome");".
To make it easier, I have added comments to locate the apps easily. 5. Save your changes and zip the "META-INF" again.
********************************************************************************
How to use :
********************************************************************************
1. Boot into recovery
2. Backup current rom
3. Flash the attached Zip file.
4. Clean cache and dalvik cache.

If Mi Cloud debloated (removed) from system, will it bypass locked Mi Cloud due to forgotten password?

Hello,
I've got the global version of the phone and when I try to install a 3rd party apk it does not show it afterwards in the app drawer or anywhere. I can find it in the installed apps under the settings, but with an empty name, doesn't say anything and it's not visible, I can't open it. Does someone know how can I fix this?
Thank you in advance!
Did you install as a downloaded apk or from an app store?
Hello,
on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro (Android 9 + MIUI 11) there is a Android local backup function for Apps + Apps data. (Settings -> About phone -> Backup & reset -> Local backups). This is unique and does not require root.
Because my other smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S10 or an iPhone XS have no local backup function for apps + apps data.
1st problem
In MIUI 11 the local backup function does not support the second app created by the "Dual Apps" function.
2nd problem
In MIUI 11 the local backup function does not support split apk e.g. for games app. Only the base.apk + app data is backed up. The problem with restoring this backup is that you have to find and install the other apk parts to get the app running.
The question is do you know if the Android local backup function in MIUI 12 has been improved?
they are currently accepting pilot testers to test MIUI 12, you can register on the MIUI forum if you are interested and all your requests for features may be responded to by the developer
In MIUI 12 backup function for apps and apps data it was not improved.
I am not an expert so I will not answer questions, but I was trying to make the new saturn super wallpaper work and it could not work so I share the method that worked for me, Use the Lucky patcher as an installer since I was skipping the error that I could not install system applications from unofficial sources, with the lucky patcher the app is installed correctly and you can now select the new super wallpaper along with those of earth and mars. https://bit.ly/33VepWP
I have:
Mi 9T Pro / redmi K20 Pro
MIUI 12 v12.0.3.0
Unlocked bootloader
Rooted device with magisk
Fully functional MOD EDIT: Content Removed
https://bit.ly/33VepWP
I also share my method. You can also try Mixplorer is you have. Allow root on settings and then highlight select the saturn apk, tap the three dot menu, then select install. It will install as root and you can now use saturn superwallpapers
on my miui.eu, I just installed and restarted. The file I got on YouTube I don't know if it's the same.
Also you can unlock installing system applications from unofficial sources. Just type in terminal setprop persist.sys.allow_sys_app_update 1
Unfortunately not working for me, black screen...
