Question How to flash global stock ROM - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi,
I just got my unit a few days ago and found that I dislike MIUI and planning to flash some custom ROM. But for some reason I need some way to re-flash stock ROM in case something bad happen. Could someone help me which tool used to flash stock ROM? any link to files or guides is really appreciated.

Google for mi flash tool and download the stock firmware from xiaomi website.
Also do note to select "Clean all" instead of "Clean all and lock" before clicking on the flash button

this is a good video

It is among the things to be careful with these phones, especially the check on "miflash" that blocks the bootloader.
I have read many posts in which users have bricked up the phone because they have blocked the bootloader with roms other than those with which the phone was sold.
Unfortunately, to get out of certain situations it is necessary to have the assistance center

Redmi 6 pro with ROM A2 Lite is possibility?

it would be possible to load the global rom of A2 Lite in Redmi 6 pro, thanks
If it's like the Mi 5X and Mi A1 situation (and probably it is), the answer is no.
If you want to risk (but I warn you that the risk to brick your phone is high, and it's all your responsibility, you can flash the full Mi A2 Lite ROM from here via MiFlash or via fastboot. If something goes wrong you can try to flash back the Redmi 6 Pro ROM from here, always via MiFlash or fastboot.
EDIT: I downloaded the full ROMs of both phones, and after a quick comparison, I can see that they use a different partitioning scheme (classic for 6Pro, A/B type for A2L), so 99,9% a direct ROM flash won't work (just like Mi A1).
thank friend, I will not try.
I need global versión for spanish lenguaje.
thanks again for solving my question.
Why don't you use the Xiaomi.eu version?
First of all, you must unlock the bootloader of your phone.
Then you need a working TWRP. This one is confirmed working but you need to register in this German forum to download it.
Then go to Xiaomi.eu forum and download the latest beta for HM6Pro (I usually prefer the stable version, but it's not ready yet for 6Pro) and flash it via TWRP.
I have some doubt
the unlocking of the bootloader is the same as for A1 and all Xiaomi?
What is the latest beta version?
sorry for my ignorance
Very thanks.

No, for the MIUI phones this is the unlocking process (it's the tutorial for the Redmi Note 4X, but it works for every MIUI phone).
For the Android One phones (i.e. Mi A1, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite) the unlocking is extremely simpler.

You can find the latest beta here.
Go to the newest directory and search for the ROM with the name "xiaomi.eu_multi_HM6Pro..." (remember that HM6Pro is your phone code, while its nickname is "sakura"). If you can't find the image for your phone on the newest directory, search it on the second newest directory, and so on.
There is usually a new beta every 7 days, but you don't need to update every week if the phone is working without problems.
okay friend, I'll try. Thank you very much for the help. If I have any doubt I will bother you again.

No.
As I said above, you cannot flash A2 Lite ROM on Redmi 6 Pro. That means you cannot flash Redmi 6 Pro ROM on A2 Lite, too.
I would like to do the opposite. Installing the xiaomi.eu on the MiA2 Lite as I prefer MIUI over AOSP interface.
Is it possible without risks? I fear the double partition prevent me from succeding

It's not very safe to do, and 99% it will not work. But if you want to take the risk, do it. Just keep ready the daisy fastboot ROM for fixing. And don't lock the bootloader or the damage will be unrecoverable.
May be my question is stupide, but is it possible to change the partitioning scheme from A/B type to classic for example. If it will be, can changing easy the ROM? Or something else? If it possible, how can I do this?
Thank you!

I already wrote how it could be possible: flashing the Redmi 6 Pro ROM in EDL mode.
But you need permission from Xiaomi to flash in EDL mode, and you can flash only one time for account.
You can ask for permission on en.miui.com forum.
And, as I said, I would not try that on my phone.
I have already unlocked the bootloader but I have a question, and tried to install the ROM through Xiaomi miflash and I get error (miflash can not found file flash_all_lock.bat). Also read in this forum that there is possibility of bricked for version 9.6.17.0, this is true?
Any Update ? OR Any Improvement ?
O Have mi A2 Lite, Android one don't like me. Miui.eu Rock!!! Anyone port this ROM please

Question is redmi k40 and poco f3 the same device? same custom recovery and custom rom?

or whats the difference?
Yes they are the same. Only difference is the MIUI that's bundled with it. All custom ROMs on this forum support K40 and Poco F3.

Hello
If they are the same is possible to instal the original MIUI ROM instead the MIUI FOR POCO?
hello!
Identical phone.
POCO F3 is just a rebrand of the Redmi k40 made for the global market outside of china (mi 11x is the rebrand made for the indian market).
The MIUI changes, precisely because they are marketed in different countries.
From what I have read it is possible to install Chinese stock roms on global phones (only with unlocked bootloader and being careful of the anti roolback) but not the other way around.
For castom roms there should be no compatibility problems, as for recovery. However in the thread of each castom rom it says in which phone it is possible to install it.

You can lock the bootloader only with the rom of the region the phone was born with. If when you bought it there was the stock india and you flashed the stock global, blocking the bootloader goes into brick. The bootloader can only be locked with the original firmware. make sure, when you block, that there is the original rom on the phone, if not, it goes into brick
good to know it, it should be written with big red letters!

It's quite interesting because with my old Mi9 I can swap regions even with locked BL but trick was with MI ASSISTANS or something like this (XiaoMiTool V2 software).
Is it possible with F3 as well? If not - why? Some kind of info inside one of the partition? Or because A/B system?

Personally i haven't tried that software to change region with locked bootloader, i can't tell you if it works or not.
However, I do not recommend carrying out any modding operation with a locked bootloader, it is very risky, and if there are problems it is very difficult to restore it.
Since unlocking the bootloader does not invalidate the warranty and is accepted by xiaomi, it is the best solution to carry out modding operations with the least possible risk of brick.

Question Change firmware

Just a quick question, can I flash a Global firmware of Redmi Note 9T 5G on my japanese version of the phone? Because on my japanese version of Redmi Note 9T 5G it has only 1 imei which means I can only use one sim card on the phone while the global version of the device is suppose to support up to 2 sim cards and micro sd card at once. Really appreciate if you can answer my question, thanks!.
Could you post the identification of the model (my phone/characteristics/model)?
It's a Japanese market Redmi note 9T 5G device (Cannong-A001XM). It's running MIUI global 12.0.12.0 (QJEJPSB) android 10 Softbank carrier-specific version
As you can see on the links below, no JP rom for this device.
Surely a model only for Japan and even by flashing a global rom it will not change anything, HW level not SW, like the bands on the CN versions.

Okay! Here's what I did to get it working!
When first flashing from Redmi Note 12 Turbo China ROM to Poco F5 EEA ROM, I used flash_all_lock.bat. This did not work. However, when I used MiFlash Unlock afterwards, then it booted!
Anyone trying this, please use the Flash_all.bat script or do what I did explained above.
At this point I can confirm that Poco F5 Global ROM works on Redmi Note 12 Turbo

You were lucky not to brick your device with Miflash using the flash_all_lock.bat file.
On a CN device always use the flash_all.bat file to flash a rom other than CN.

Yep, but you have to unlock the bootloader first then use Miflash.
Your phone will not be better with an EEA rom (rom for Europe), for example you will have a limited sound volume.
The best (in my humble opinion) are the Xiaomi Eu roms.
