Hi, a while back I had succesfully installed Official LOS 18.1, after jumping over a few hurdles. As I update and manage several Lineage phones at home, it gets a bit confusing and this has been the newest addition.
My question, can I apply the nighty updates in a simple manner via recovery using the zip OR will I neecd to jump the hurdles again, ab partition etc?
bump
From the information I've read (but not tried), it sounds like you should be able to use the Lineage updater to do incremental updates as long as you are in the same major version (e.g. 18.1, 17.1, etc)
What he said. Just apply from Lineage Updater.
Do you have the flashable zip for official LineageOS 18.1? on the site i only find LineageOS 20 but it restarts almost every app because of really low free RAM

Hi.
I am planning to install Nethunter (linux) on my OPO phone for penetration testing.
Lineage os has it's version of Nethunter on Github I might try. Ex; ( los-14.1-20170103-bacon-nethunteros.zip).
Currently, I have Lineage os 14.1 v7.1.2 rom which gives me great battery live.
My question is after a clean wipe & installing nethunteros, will new Android system updates for LOS 14.1 nightly builds be obsolete to apply on my phone?
If I wanted to continue updating a pure LOS rom with the nightly builds, should I use a multirom and flash CM12/Nethunter then LOS 14.1 as a secondary?
How do I update my one plus 3 to lineage os 15.1, I have a one plus 3 ,it running lineage os 14.1 , everytime I try to update to lineage os 15.1, I keep getting error 7. What firmware/drivers must I install in order to update? thank You.

Latest open beta firmware is recommended for LOS 15.1. Also latest TWRP.
Sent from my OnePlus 3 using Tapatalk
I am running the latest LineageOS 15.1.
As I switched to LOS directly after my purchase I am wondering if I have to update the firmware separately or if the LOS builds have the latest ones included.
If it is necessary to update them on my own:
Can I use the Firmware files from this thread Doc's Oneplus 5T Firmwares and just flash them, or will I loose my files or brick my device this way?
yes / no
I tried lineageos
but it is laggy and slow
I suggest for you to try aosp based rom like pixel experience
it is better in every way
also use google camera on that rom it is flawless
In the lineage thread there is a separate link for firmware downloads. If you plan on sticking with lineage i'd recommend bookmarking their thread and using the latest firmware from their sourceforge.
Now that Lineage OS team have discounted support for this device I was wondering if anyone had the last builds for this device
Lineage OS
17.1
16.0

I wouldn't recommend installing Lineage 18.0/18.1 from the links above on the M8
It runs unbearably slow and lags after installing some common apps... some apps take over 30 secs to start and even taking pictures using the standard camera app and answering the phone sometimes takes 5-10 seconds.
I had 17.1 for quite some time on my old M8 and it worked much better then 18.1

Even the 202206 builds from the second link runs slow?
You could post a link of 17.1 though, as we don't find links of it anymore.

Yes, I tried one of the early 18.0 builds about a year ago and it ran also very slow, but at the time thought it was because it was an early build.
The latest build(s) still run slow.
last 17.1 build I could find: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U-0rWPpD8i1yIDtTKqwrzyRioYEoqy7F/view

It always bootloop to recovery for me.
Hi,
I have Lineage 18.1 with Magisk and GAPPS (pico) installed on a Oneplus 8T. Now I'd like to update to a newer Lineage 18.1 nightly build. The Lineage Updater doesn't offer this option (why not? Wouldn't it be a nice feature request? ) thus I assume I have to update to a higher nightly build of 18.1 by myself.
Am I right that the update procedure is the same as installing LineageOS 18.1 from recovery except that I shouldn't do neither a Factory Reset nor a Format data / factory reset? (to keep my apps)
As I have Magisk installed, I assume that I have to repeat patching the boot.img. Right?
I'm unsure about GAPPS. Do I need to sideload it again after having installed a newer nightly build of LineageOS 18.1 and before booting?
Many thanks for your support.
you are not getting updates for 18.1 because 19 is out. uograde instructions are on lineage website
