Warning!!! As someone commented he was totally unaware of this problem until he used this fix and it destroyed his experience with his phone
[REQ]Any developer that could help me with something? I want to make this app matching system UI with ready filters and put it in Setting so that it will look integrated like the galaxy screen settings, that would help ppl think the screenproblem is just a soft problem and doesn't depend on hardware. Please be kind and PM me
As many have noticed, and even made some ppl crazy is the yellow tint on our screen(HTC One X, Xperia Ion, S etc).
Searching for screen filtering at play store made my day!
Then i found this app: LINK
I installed it and then made a filter with:
Red 0
Green 0
Blue 8
Brightness: 100%
Contrast: -0
That made me feel like replacing the whole screen!
Second thing you should do is:
Press the MENU-button and go in to Options
Autorun [YES]
Hide status bar icon [YES]
Enjoy your screen! :victory:
You just destroyed my life, I'm seriously miserable now. I haven't noticed the yellow tint AT ALL until I tried this filter. Now I see it and it bugs me a lot.
The issue is: although this filter solves the problem completely, the phone is sluggish as hell, the graphics / UI seem slower than a low end Galaxy phone. That makes me sad, I'll have to live with the yellow tint forever

Dude I updated the post, I found another much better app/solution, this doesnt bug at all and is always on, you wont notice it is even running :good:
Yeah, this one is better but it's still much slower than usual... it's like the phone runs at 60 FPS stock and with the filter on it goes down to 24 FPS.
It's not really SERIOUS, it's just that the colors are kinda yellowish or you know when you set the color temperature too high on the TV? It's kinda like that. But the colors are nice anyways. It's still much better than the Galaxy S3 with that HDR Pixar Everywhere that gives me a headache. HAHA
Thanks for the tip, anyways! It works, after all.
Mine shows up only when XS is at high temperature but I hardly notice it ( I only got a slight tint at the bottom).. Its -0 Degrees where I live so no worries until summer
Xperia Ion Yellow Tint
My Xperia Ion lt28h have the Yellow tint, its unbearable with white screens, but its good at watching videos.
Screen Adjuster works fine, didn't notice any lags though.
However is there any possibility to mod it through the rom. If so that will be a great option.

I'll look into it
Interesting app, but I think my screen was already ok because by increasing the blue level, now the screen has a blue tint on gray backgrounds. For example, the settings menu is now literally blue and no longer gray.
Am I one of the very few lucky ones who don't have a yellowish screen?
Cool
Works great
Oh, and by the way, try running Quadrant or another benchmark with this app active, enjoy your halved performance.

... Runnning Antutu once without using this(8291) and with with(8262), every test is unique and thats why it differs,
Few people have experienced some lag(maybe heavy use of RAM even without this app), but i have not, I have not yet noticed lower performance nor any battery drain
Having facebook, viber, twitter or something like those installed on your device draw much more performance and battery than this, and for me the screen and music playback is the most important
Not meant to offend

Are you sure the app was on when you ran the benchmark?
Anyway, the score is not really halved but reduced nonetheless. Antutu is affected by this too (usually I get 8400, with the app active 7900), at least on my phone (stock .50 rom stock kernel).
Also, I don't use facebook or any other ram-eating privacy-raping crap.
The app definitely reduces the phone's performance.

Found smthing
Hi, I have the yellow tint issue on my Xperia Ion, its not deepa than SXS yellow tint, but whites are yellowish and colors are more saturated,
Im using your fix, and it helps a lot.
However recently i found out something, i was playing "Cut The Rope" game. And after i exit the game my yellow tint gone 100%. And after some time (30mins) gradually yellow tint came back. I was wondering how it happen. Then i discovered if your in a green color image that covers the screen for while yellow tint goes.
But don't know how it happen and why..
very good apps. feeling like just got a new screen. but yes, like some said its unfotunately very laggy.
Phone: LT28H
Rom: Paranoid Android CM9

The app is really great but makes the phone sluggish,I believe this can be implemented at kernel. Most of the GNex kernel that i used have a color multiplier setting which controls the whole screen adjustment
Maybe some developer can try it out for Xperia S,I love this phone even though i use it as a backup to my Gnex??
free lag
hey, i mde a lot of test and i found a better way to solve it and dont have lag at all, just put brigthness about 70-75% and that solves all!! no color values at all, and no lag youre welcome
So when I drag down the mode menu, to the right of the battery percentage a rectangle flashes for a second. I've attached an image. In the image it's black, but sometimes it's green and sometimes it's white. Just seeing if anyone has this.

Same issue, I believe I have noticed other screen artifacts, but this one seems to be the one that is most constant
Yep I get it, not always but sometimes. Only seemed to occur after the most recent update.
Same here,
Did anyone reset the watch after update?

Yeah. Same issue.
Damn, I got the same thing.
I didn't even want to search for this. I just love my watch and wanted to pretend that this small thing didn't exist.
Good to know I'm not the only one

Yeah, it's not great. I hope they fix it soon with an update.
For me It's a non issue really. Very small item in the scheme of things.
I thought I was the only one with this. Seems like others have it to..
Anyone know a fix to get rid of it? Bothers me each time I pull down the drop down..

It is, and doesn't seem to affect anything. But it shouldn't happen and you would think they would fix it. It's just a bit sloppy.
Solution
This issue is fixed by changing the font size on the watch to small
Hey guys!
i am having this black tinting on top of my screen, its bugging me alot on wallpapers,
is this the software fault of the hardware. i just got my op3 last week.
i am posting the screenshot.
You can't be serious!! That's definitely software. It's not even an issue. try some launcher settings or new launchers to get rid of that shadow. FYI, If it's a hardware, it won't appear on your screenshot.

Can't really make out. But if its in the screenshot..then it's software. If it's hardware you will have to click a photograph with another camera for it to be visible
Seems like your screen got cracked after a drop. Can you make another screenshot so we can confirm the cracks as well?
great! just was confirming, thanks

no i am using oxygen os CB beta 7.
One of the more pleasant surprises I got when I bought this phone was how dark the screen could get for night tile viewing. With Night Mode and the lowest brightness, I could browse my phone first thing in the morning without dying.
Now, on Nougat, Night Mode just adds a yellowish tint - probably reducing blue light or whatever - and brightness doesn't seem to go as low now. Kinda blinded this morning...
Is there some way of fixing this?
1.
2.
3.
And many more..
I probably should've specified I wasn't looking for a separate app for this purpose. I know that much!
Just wondering if I can get the built in function to be sensible again.

No you can't.
Well,
Currently looking into downgrading to Marshmallow then. Newer doesn't always equal better, sigh~

No idea what I said, but okay.
Although I've googled & googled, I've been unable to figure out how to simply change the S9's camera app to record video for PAL countries (i.e. 50FPS vs 60FPS). The videos recorded by the phone look horrible in most nighttime situations, due to prominently flickering lights (it's especially noticeable for LEDs, like Christmas lights for example).
How can I change the stock camera app to record in 50FPS, so as to match the electricity frequency of the majority of the world's countries...? :/
Hopefully I'm just missing something simple buried in the settings somewhere

Have a look at this mod

Very cool mod However, from what I can see, it doesn't mention anything related to allowing PAL framerates... :/
