The HBOMax used to work flawlessly on my rooted z2 force. I noticed recently after resubscribing to HBO that my HBOMax app won't play content. I get Can't Play Title We're having trouble playing this video. Please try again later. This happens on some content and other it just shows the play button etc but won't play. I can scrub to various scenes and it'll show the scene but it'll just sit there. I unrooted but it still behaves the same. If I shoot it to chromecast it'll play flawlessly on my TV. Anyone else experience the same?

Stock unrooted 32 GB N7 2013. Seems to play downloaded movies fine but the Demo clip for surround sound in Play Movies stutters, not just the sound but the video also; even after a second play.
Does anyone else see this?

Played fine on mine (LTE model, also stock unrooted, still on JSS15J). While we're at it, I'd like to watch it again but wasn't able to find it anywhere. Anybody got any hints for me where to look?
Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum. I recently purchased a Moto 360 for myself and I must say, so far I'm in love with it. I had to switch from Spotify to Play Music, but that's not a big deal since I originally used to use Play Music. There is one thing I am having a problem with however.
With a lot of songs that I have on play music, when I issue the "Play Song" command on my moto 360, it will attempt to open up the Youtube video, as opposed to just playing the song on Play Music. I have the songs added to my library on Play music, but it continues to do this. It's not every song either, only certain ones.
Does anyone have any experience or fix for this? Is there a way to just block Youtube on my moto 360 all together? I'm never going to use it anyways.
Thank you!

I had a similar issue and found that it was AllCast app downloaded from the play store that was interfering with my voice commands. Do you have any apps that might be 'stealing' the voice action?

Not that I know of. I even uninstalled Youtube from my phone, but I still run into the same issue. I can't play certain songs through play music. It recommends me Youtube music videos to watch instead.
Moto 360 second gen and I have the same issue.
im having the same issue, still have not found what is causing this....maybe google now settings ? cause ok google open google now on my phone when i issue voice commands..
I solved mine by factory resetting my phone and starting over. This time I didn't install the YouTube Music app and all now happens according to plan.
Hi,
I have a version 1 Fire TV with 5.0.5 on it that is not rooted. I'm not sure if this is a new issue with the software update but I don't remember it happening before and now it happens frequently.
I have Spotify sideloaded on the FireTV. Now, when I hit play, regardless of the app I am in or even if on the Home page, Spotify begins to play.
Firestarter won't kill the Spotify app when it is not on top, so this problem is a bit annoying when in other apps that I click play on to launch a media file.
Has anyone else seen this? Can anyone confirm this is a new issue with the new firmware? Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks,
Mine would resume play when I press the Play button regardless of what screen I'm in even after Spotify had been forced quit. I just deleted the app altogether. Not worth the trouble.
There is a new Spotify app for the for the Fire TV. Full app, not Connect. Works really well.

If someone could pull the apk please? Would like to try it on Android TV.
Ok, so i looked in the forums and found no one had this... but I launch the google play music app, pick ANY radio station, start a tune, it will play just fine.
Now, once the song is over, OR if I decide to skip a song, the app will start playing the next track as expected however, after 4 ~ 7 seconds of playback, the song skips, and goes to the next song again. I have seen the phone do this, while unlocked, I was just looking at it, nothing touching it and the skip occurs.
Uninstalled the app, the cache, all the play store updates/cache/data as well - same thing.
spotify, radiotunes, etc -- all work fine
poweramp for local content -= same thing, no issues.
google play support has so far been unable to help me.
anyone else experience this?
running stock 3.2.1 not rooted.
Edit: I saw a solution of turning off Hey Google in another thread and that worked for the freezing issue
HOwever, I still can't playback recorded videos
and I discovered that after I try to playback a video, i can no longer record
Hey fam!
I just got this phone from eBay
It came with an unlocked bootloader running what appears to be a global rom, because it says it's an edge 30 and has play store and all that jazz
I'm having an issue where the sound/video will cut out or pause in apps though. It usually lasts about a second or so. Everything still works in the background, so it's not like the phone itself is freezing. For example, the slightly animated background in Apple Music keeps moving even when the sound cuts out.
Youtube videos have the sound and video hang constantly
Any tips on how to fix this, or should I just flash a chinese rom back to it?
Edit:
I just did a test with recorded content
I was able to record a video with no issues at all. Camera feed stayed stable the entire time. Trying to play it back, after about a second or two it hangs and errors out saying can't play video
Just in case anyone else is having issues
installing https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/convert-to-global-rom.4400275/post-86861259
fixed this for me. Phones works great now
Now I just need to figure out how to get/install updates since my bootloader is unlocked
