Question Double reboot - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hello.
When I reboot the device using the classic switches and choose reboot, reboot the device twice.
The Poco logo will start, then the miui animation, at this point the device will restart again.
Then it will boot into the system normally.
However, if I use third-party switches, for example, restart the device only once, as it should be.
Or if an application, such as magisk, needs a restart - reboot, then also restart the device only once as it should be.
Don't know what it can be? In my opinion, the classic stock power menu will be to blame.

Hmm maybe something to do with modifications, unless it causes any problem im sure it'll be fine

Reboot means..?

Hi there. I came across many words of reboot'ing your phone to do certain things on your phone. I know in other words means restart. But how or what exactly is a reboot in this case?
Does reboot means I "shut down" and on back the phone?
Or reboot means I tap "restart" the phone and therefore reboot itself?
Thank you. =)
All depends really. If your ROM supports fast boot then no dice on shutdown power up unless you can by pass it.
In regular terms reboot means restart of device. Lets break it down,
Boot comes from the original phrase Bootstrap the hardwired application that was read by a computer system to load a more complex system, in other words a system pulling itself up by the bootstraps.
Basically think of it as booting is the very low level of the system that loads a more complex one, so you can "boot into clockwork recovery" or "boot into the operating system".
So booting the phone and in turn rebooting is to run the phone through the boot process. So a "Restart" is a reboot.
Hope this helps.

Rebooting/Restarting is as mentioned by wbbigdave. When you do this it is like restarting a computer (which is what a mobile phone is these days).
Rooting your phone gives you the ability to do certain tasks (like alter system files, load kernel modules, etc.) that require super user (Administrator) level permissions.
Rebooting/Rooting sound similar but are quite different - thought I might add some clarification.

[ROM] Elocity A7+ "EviLocity v1.0" Android 2.2 rooted rom.

ROM EviLocity 1.0 Android 2.2 Rabid ROM ----- Elocity A7+ ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Main features:
- Fully rooted with proper edit to boot.img for ro.secure+0 in the default.prop
- Based on last official 3.0022 firmware ( All A7+ no old A7 components).
- Edited proper default prop to 0,1,1,1 instead of 1,0,0,0
- Removed bloat apps
- Added EStrong Suite - Task, Security, and File Manager, and Rootexplorer.
- WiFi tweaks.
- Build.prop edits for performance, ram consumption (360MB free, varies).
- 1% Battery MOD
- Some graphics and font changes
- Duplicated libraries deleted.
- Some build.prop tweaks to improve performance, wifi responsiveness, and better ram consumption, etc
- Use UOT screen transitions
- New boot animation. "Zombies" ( unfortunately the system boots so fast now, you only get to see the whole thing the first boot. LOL)
- As far a testing goes everything works
Issues - None it did not have already(so far). Still has the SOD (sleep of death) issue. I have found that utilities that can set WiFi to "sleep never" help and I used Overclock widget to set the minimum power to 500MHZ. The system by default drops to about 150-200MHZ and when it drops that low it seems to hang. I have also found having something plugged into the USB can be removed and replaced quickly and the remount causes it to let you take it out of sleep. Perhaps other overclock tool can do the same and work better?
Download EviLocityV1.0
When installing an 8GB or smaller microsd works well.
Install Instructions:
This runs like a normal update so you should still have your apps, but the following is the best way to flash this ROM. Either way backup your files before using.
If by using this mod the world comes to and end, or you are suddenly sucked back in time only to accidentally kill your grandfather leaving your future uncertain, I take no responsibility for the consequences. Oh yeah. same thing if it screws up your tablet.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. REMEMBER TO BACKUP ANY THING YOU WANT SAVE BEFORE FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS. THIS WILL WIPE YOUR TABLET TO A CLEAN FACTORY-ISH STATE.
I have not tried using the built in update process in the system settings, feel free to give it a shot first, but this is the best way in MHO. Always have at least 50% battery but better still be plugged into power.
1. Copy the the update.zip file to a microsd either directly on your PC or through USB to the tablet external drive. In this case /sdcard/sdcard-disk0. Make sure it is the only update file on the card.
NEVER INSTALL ANY UPDATE FROM THE INTERNAL STORAGE. If something should go wrong you could be stuck with that same image reloading every time you try to go into recovery and you may never have a way to remove or get past it.
2. With the tablet powered off power on by holding down power button for two seconds, then release and press again and hold until you see the message " Hold power for 5 sec...."
3. Release power after the message "booting recovery kernel".
4. Wait until the Android with the triangle and exclamation over it's head pops up.
5. Press the home button to bring up the recovery menu. Use back to move down, and menu to select
6. Scroll down and select Wipe data & cache, then select Yes delete all user data . The tablet will reboot, just press and hold power until you see the recovery loading message again.
7. When complete select Wipe cache partition and wait until complete.
8. Select Apply update from external sdcard.
9. Scroll to the update.zip file and select it.
10. Wait for it to complete then select Reboot system now when prompted. Device will go through a few screen changes just sit back and wait for the boot animation.
The first boot will be slow as it has to rebuild the cache.
Thank you for the custom rom, everything functions well. However, visually, it's atrocious.
thank you. can't wait to try this rom out. im getting my A7+ in 3 weeks.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 2
does this rom have the play store or market?
it does not.
found some issues
Okay after fooling around with it for a week.i have some questions;
The mic no longer works and when you have to enter a date, the dails always reset to 2014. Is this just me? Do you have any suggestions?
Awesome Post. Thanks

[MODIFYING] Traveltek

This is the Traveltek low-end Android 4.2.2 tablet - M950D1
http://traveltekusa.com/traveltek/tablets/m950d1/
It was purchased by my friend's mother as a birthday present. He told me to root it for him.
1. VROOT works, although I've had to do it twice. -> http://www.mgyun.com/
Props to the Chinese developers for their works.
2. Rumored unlocked/default bootloader (?, Please verify)
3. NoFrills CPU control works. You can overclock the duel core ARM Cortex to 1.2-1.3 ghtz with no ill effects, however tablet becomes hot when charging, so i don't recommend it in hot climates.
4. The tablet freezes somewhat after booting to the OS, NoFrills takes about 25 seconds to kick in.
5. Play Store will manually install, but when I received the tablet it automatically disables itself after reboot, but apps can be purchased and installed. (Bug in firmware)
6. Portrait mode is ugly. Text is blocky and..well...skewed.
7. Xposed Framework installs, but GravityBox does not recognize it Fixed by a reboot after installing. X BLAST shows up and is enabled but doesn't have full functionality (are we ODEX?)
8. Recovery is accessible through ROM toolbox or any app that will "reboot recovery". You'll get the dead android with "No Command.", as far as I know its possible to get into recovery menu here. I just pressed random buttons until it happened. Key comb Vol+ & Power just gives a solid green LED, so booting into recovery this way does NOT work.
Future development on this device? I'll be buying one for myself and testing if the answer is "yes".

LG G4 half-bricked / full unusable

Hi everybody !
I usually (always normally) succeed myself at resolve my phone problems, but this time I can't do anything.
My problem :
I have a LG G4 ; I saw an update of Imperium Rom (v8) this morning, so I installed it, everything worked well until I decided to install a, apparently, ****ed mod on xposed ; and since I have rebooted I can't do anything ; the LG logo shows and just after "UI system as stopped", just one time but, then I can't do anything, screens over screens, can't access parameters, password required, "flex mode" (never saw this before), re-password, system UI restart, loading background, restart system UI; and this in a infinite loop SOOOOO
I decided to reset it, yeah... But I can't access my recovery, wow o/
I followed the step to access it by switch it off and press volume down etc --> It just boot normally, or best in safe mode by magic but same problem ; via parameters but I can't access parameters ; and via ADB buuut my phone isn't recognized even with the complete sdk, drivers, everything you want, there's nothing to do because --> while restarting system UI it deconnects so of course it can be recognized
I removed xposed (while I could still access recovery, as I was thinking it was coming from the xposed module) and so now I can't even access recovery via shutdown menu (as I had put "reboot to recovery" in via Xblast, a xposed module) ; and of course it doesn't change anything
I neeeeed your help so much, I don't mind losing what's on it :crying:

Please ensure you REALLY use the correct key combo! Just saying bla does not tell us what exactly you tried.
If you really can't get in you can try to Boot into download mode
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0cbLhpWq5C8
Then use lgup to reinstall stock ROM and do all the stuff again to get twrp, root and a custom ROM.

Thank for your answer ! No it couldn't even boot in download mode
I resolved my problem by forcing again the buttons to reset completely, it finally showed me after about 30 boots or more the reset screen, I said "ok" ; and in fact it just rebooted saying "updating Android", I did not lost anything.
I still don't understand how it happened but anyway !
I don't know if it's possible to set the topic as resolved ? I don't find it

Black lockscreen after reboot

I just rebooted today without making any changes, and once my OP3 finished rebooting, I just got a black lock screen with no response whatsoever. If I hold the power button, I get the reboot dialog, I can take screenshots and they save, and the capacitive buttons react to input. When I reboot into safe mode, the exact same thing occurs, except the lock screen isn't black and says "safe mode". I literally just can't use my phone, period. If I boot into TWRP, I can still access my files after decrypting. It just seems like systemui refuses to start, and I'll have to reset the phone. Has anybody else experienced this?
Could you solve the Problem? Had the same. Only solution for me was full reset.
Flash a newer Rom and see
