Hi guys!
I'm wondering why the resolution in professional mode is only 12MP while in photo mode we can reach 48MP (high resolution).
In the setting it's wrote that we can't modify the resolution in pro mode because it's the best available... are we sure? Or it's a bug?
Anyone can confirm this?
Thanks

I ALSO FACED, i am using raw images for now i too think its bug dont know!
It seems that our 48MP sensor produces only 12MP photos. Then they are probably upsampled to produce the final one. So the raw image is literally "raw", unmodified.
Here the answer by Motorola: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/moto-g...ution-in-Professional-mode/m-p/5088130?page=1

OMG!
Thank You!
But one Q: Why? In my Xperia V this mode working in full (13MP) mode. Xperia V-s camera is better than Z1c camera?
I don't know why. Maybe in the future there will be a camera mod with scene mod in 20MP available.
Hmm...
Snap Camera HDR can make HDR with 20 MP.
Sony stock camera doesn't...
Yes, maybe in future will working...
When i try to take a picture with HDR mode the resolution is locked to 8MP and i can't change it. I want to take pictures in HDR mode with 6MP 16:9 wide screen mode. Is it possible with S3 stock camera app?
BTW I have rooted Sprint stock rom 4.3 MK3
Thanks
OK I Factory Reset/ Wipe Data and upgraded to newest rom Stock ND8 Rooted and the resolution is still stuck in 3264x2448 in HDR mode and i can't change it. I want to take wide screen 3264x1836 in HDR mode. Is that something that i can't do ??? anyone?
i took the screenshot.. check the attachment
we have big xda community and nobody know the answer to my question?
Can you guys at least check your camera ..and let me know if you can change the wide screen 6MB resolution on HDR mode please?
Thanks

Hello,
What is the best camera app to shot in RAW so as I can edit?
Do you know a better raw files than the original?
Thanks
RAW files are direct from the sensor! Any app capable of shooting RAW will give you the same file!
Only difference is if a third-party app let you save the 64MP RAW images from the telephoto sensor
Edit - it appears I may be wrong in this statement as others have outlined below.

Because it's not true what he says. Gcam for example uses a lot of image processing technologies like even before the demosaicing process, that contribute to a better picture. as far as i remember even burst images are melted into the raw picture. That's why you have much better dynamic range and details and noise as in other RAW-Cameras. As long as this is not standardized and enabled via API for all new Phones/Apps, using RAW in Smartphones beside GCAM does not make any sense.
Ok, so for me the RAW from GCAM is way better than the original RAW.... it's not all the same RAW files finally.
The one of the S20 is not really good to me... What do you think ?
Do you think that it will be possible to shot RAW with the Ultra Wide Sensor and the 64mpx? One day...?
Hello
Can you take Raw photos with the telephoto camera or it's only for main?
If yes can you get better results than the generated jpeg (automatic) ?

Raw selected in pro on left jpeg selected in pro on right. Both were saved as jpeg by the camera.
Both were taken with telephoto at max zoom.
I see no difference in quality
Pro mode is only available on the main sensor.

No difference on gcam either
The stock camera app with OOS 12 allows selection of 48 Megapixel JPG in regular photo mode with a button labelled "High", but the Hasselblad Pro mode needed to choose RAW or to use manual camera settings does not offer a control to choose 48MP.
Is there another camera app that supports 48MP in RAW on this phone? (I tried the GCAM port discussed in this forum and I get get 48MP at all with that.)
While I know 48MP is overkill for most phots, I find the 48MP JPG actually gets more readable text on a large poster full of small text taken in daylight, so I have a good use case for 48MP.
Thanks

RAW resolution is 12MP and no other app will help. In fact you can't even get unbinned (full res 48MP) jpegs in any 3rd party app
I know the 48MP JPEGs I can get with the stock camera app are unbinned because I see the results in small type on large format posters is clearly better than 12MP. I do see some JPEG artifacts and would like to get my hands on the 48MP unbinned RAW photos. Is there any way to do it? I have rooted the phone (for other reasons) if they can help in any way.
Can’t be done.

Already told you in the first part of the message - it CAN'T be done. And it's hilarious that you can have better results from upscaled GCam 12MP to 48MP than the stock 48MP shot.

You misread what I wrote. It its the STOCK 48MP shot that is giving me the best image of tiny text on posters and those truly appear NOT to be upscaled. I was just hoping to be able to get a RAW 48MP out of this phone.

No I didn't misread, I just told you stock is useless as you can very often get better results by upscaling 12MP from GCam than native 48MP from stock. That's how bad stock is due to aggressive processing
Here's a sample to check out. 12 to 48MP upscale in the GCam vs native 48MP stock. Pretty embarrassing for stock... But yeah 48MP RAW would be ideal.
