Question Poco F3 Double Tap issue in Pubg - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

I just bought poco f3 and updated to Miui 12.5.1. i am not having a green tint issue or dimming issue. While playing pubg mobile sometimes a single tap registers as a double tap. This is the issue i am facing and because of that i am having difficulty in shooting with a scope on.

I guess, it might be a problem with the screen protector sheet if you are using one on it. If you are not using the screen protector, then there will be some other problem.

Is anyone facing an issue with the proximity sensor in OnePlus7T

Ever since I've bought OnePlus 7T, the proximity sensor is giving me a lot of problems. Sometimes the screen lights up while I'm speaking on the phone and the speaker is activated. Sometimes the call gets recorded. Sometimes if the phone is in my pocket and I try to unlock it, it says too many attempts.
Yes it very annoying, when removing it from pocket accidently my fingerprint matches and something something happens.

This is the biggest reason I may be going Pixel 4...
Yes I too have this issue with my OP7T
Yup, same issue here.
Another thread about it here - https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/proximity-sensor-doesnt-work.1147600/
Also issue present on OP7Pro forums.
Seems to be related to this "Virtual Sensor":
https://www.ellipticlabs.com/2019/0...eaner-design-to-oneplus-7-series-smartphones/
So we have to wait and hope (could be this same as Never Settle? :d) that can be fixed with a software update.
It seems to get worse the more I use my phone. Anyone else notice this? Brand New it never did it

Someone on the OP7T forum suggested it may be Tap the Screen to Show (let's call it TSS) feature.
I enabled DTW. This will trigger Ambient Display -> "Tap the Screen to Show" to be disabled.
Tried and the screen still won't turn off when on a call with the phone on my ear.
Both options disabled (no DTW and no TSS), still won't turn off.
What did work though, was to turn off screen once with the power button:
- I was in a call and the screen was on,
- turned off the screen using power button,
- I took the phone off my ear -> Screen on
- put the phone back on my ear -> Screen off
Maybe someone can make more sense of it.

I tried the above also same thing. I am tired of this BS. I am constantly pressing hold or dialing with my face unless I have the phone shoved in my ear. I almost didn't buy the 7t cause of this issue coming from the 6t with the same issue

Yeah, I am starting to remember good ol' days with the OPX. Every OTA was fixing one thing and breaking 3 other.
At that time I said no OP again, but still, this one seems to be be a good phone. Time will tell.
Coming back to our issue, I am puzzled that only a few people reported this.
Are you guys are on stock kernel or something custom?
I don't think I have this issue, but the sensor seems to function a bit differently from what I'm used to. When the phone is horizontal, covering the sensor does not turn off the display. But now do the motion of raising the phone to one's ear, and the display turns off. Just an observation, yet to experiment properly.
Does anyone know where the sensors are located on this phone? Is there a picture on the internet that points out the different sensors?
Edit: Yep. This one has a virtual sensor. It works differently.

Not rooted, but using a custom dialer as the default Phone app (True Phone).
When I switched the default Phone app to Oneplus App, I could not reproduce the issue.
Testing for a few days to see if this works. Would be such a pity if the app is the problem because I really like it.
Also I just sent a log to OP support (they contacted me after I logged the issue on the feedback).
Yes, it is using the virtual sensor as you said (link in my previous post).
How does the virtual sensor work?
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I couldn't find anything concrete on how this software-based proximity sensor, Elliptic Labs INNER BEAUTY, works. The keywords are: ultrasound, sensor fusion, and machine learning. A hardware-software I guess.
The 7T does have an IR sensor under the display, but I think this is only used for DT2W and Tap to Show to prevent the display from accidentally turning on when the phone is in the pocket and so on. Not for calls.
Fully Unmodified phone - same issue here. Phone regularly turns on airplane mode while I’m on a call cause it is registering face touches. Screen regularly flickers while on calls as if rapidly moving away from my face....
This was not a problem on my 3t a while ago and the issue is driving me to switch phones alongside some software instability (random lag and keyboard jitter) (animation issues after launcher swap) (soft-lock on navbar or gestures but not a play store replacement)I usually fix by rom swapping on one plus phones andddddd twrp is dead (for now) and no ones working on a valid replacement.
Will be keeping this phone in hopes of twrp eventual return, but need that stability

Twrp is out for the 7t. It's not flashable last I checked but it is bootable and usable for what I used it for which was a backup of stock rom

Another sensor bug(minor one)

I am having a small issue since I bought this Pixel. Since Nexus 4 I am using double tap to wake by using apps, root or original hardware. So pixel 3 xl came with this feature out of the box and happily using it.
But sometimes it was not working and I was saying "nah it ok, it happens from time to time probably deep sleep issue" and using power button .
Then I also started using screen "always on" feature and realize even always on is active double tap not working, until I cover proximity sensor on and off, and voila! double tap works.
It seems like proximity sensor is latching itself off but does not turns off "always on" Also similiarly "always on" is off as if proximity sensor is shutting it off but when I check I see some whatsapp messege notifications.
It is a weird bug and even after clean flash of android 11 did not solve it(although it broke android auto wireless )
Does anyone else have it ? it is a general bug or hardware issue ?

Question Issues with proximity sensor and pocket mode with my OP9 Pro

Hello to everyone,
I bought my OP9 pro 2 month ago, and I loved it since first day, but there are some bugs that I really hate!!
When I finish a call or when I finish to hear a voice message on Whatsapp, the brightness goes down, without I touch anything!
In last days I find another annoying bug, sometimes when i put off the phone from the pocket, the pocket mode remain activated, also if I turn my OP, also if I unlock the smartphone... These two bugs are getting me crazy!
Can anyone help me or I have just wait some software update from OnePlus?

I've exactly same bugs on my OP 9 Pro , sometimes brightness goes down by itself and without touching it, i've always automatic brightness switched off! Then taking it out from Pocket with Pocvket Mode switched off, i find apk opened by themselves, so a total mess!

Yes! The same for me! I'm rally freaking out! And Oneplus doesn't care about these bugs!
I had the same problems, but interestingly I face it only when my Camera and Mic is turned off.
for me it was dirt an pocket lent, the sensor is very sensitive for some reason so when ever i get that problem I wipe it and it works flawlessly for the next few days until it needs to be done again
Same here, sometimes I can't even turn on the screen after a call...

I don't think so, I've already tried to wipe it, but nothing changed! I have this problem since first day... I thought they resolve it with an update, but after 4 months I'm still waiting
Hello. There is a solution to the problem with the proximity sensor. You go to the dialer enter *#808#, looking for "Device dubbing* and there are "proximity sensor test", tap and choose "infrared proximity calibration". You calibrate the sensor. it should help you. You can also calibrate other problem sensors. Try it with a brightness sensor too

Question Green tint in lockscreen, display issue or software?

Hello guys,
I've recently bought a snapdragon version of S21 Fe. Yesterday, while I was using my phone in absolute darkness with low brightness, I've noticed that there is a green tint on the lockscreen. When I get past the lockscreen, the green tint disappears. I've researched about it, and it's a problem that only happens when the fingerprint is turned on. Turning the fingerprint off removes that issue. Is this a display issue or some form of software issue? I've updated to latest one ui 5. I don't have a warranty as well. Should I sell this phone? Please help me identify the problem and give a solution to what should I do now :')
Hello
can you post a screenshot?
The green dot in the upper right corner of the screen indicates that the camera is active.
Did you enable facial recognition? that could be an explanation....

OxygenOS 12, OnePlus 7t screen brightness goes up after unlocking the screen

Hi guys.
Recently I've updated my phone to OxygenOS 12 and I've encountered a strange bug. Every time I'm unlocking my screen no matter what unlocking method I would choose my screen brightness goes up (dot on the screen brightness bar stays in the same spot) no matter if I have auto adjustment turned on or off. To make it clear I'm not talking here about temporary flash when fingerprint sensor is reading the finger, I'm talking here about permanent screen brightness change after screen unlocking. After phone is unlocked I can change it to whatever brightness level I like, but it is super annoying to do it all the time.
Sorry for a bit long post, but I just wanted to be sure you will get what I mean.
Best regards!
exactly same mine.
Same here. It randomly snaps back to the autobrightness, and obviously does as such when you tap the brightness knob, but tbh when I was on oos 11, the autobrightness didn't work at all, so being outside was like walking through a dark room.
Same, fixed by disabling Always-On Display under Settings -> Personalizations. This update is horrible.

Hi, i have Oneplus 7t hd1907, and i have the same problem. To fix it i disable the fingerprint on screen, i install Pixel Experience 13 and i have the same issue, not solution for now if you know something can you help me, best regards, sorry for my english i speak spanih.
For now I've backed to stock OOS 10. New updates seems promising. I've read on OnePlus forum that T-mobile rolled out mp4 update and it seems to working fine, but your phone will be locked to T-mobile again. Personally I would wait and maybe mp5 europe update will fix our issues (if there will be mp5 update haha)
