I did a test rom on my Note 10+ N976N Exynos, I activated the OEM Unlock from the developers options, then I unlocked the boot loader from the download menu by long pressing the V+ key, then I want to go back to flash the stock rom but the OEM Unlock was grayed and in the download menu there is no v+ long press, I have only:
V up: Continue
V down: restart
Skey: show barcode
What should I do? or no hope and I will not be able to lock the BL?
Or can I update OTA with unlock bootloader?
Best Regards
Are you on a custom rom? If not :
1. enter fastboot mode
2. enter command like oem unlock but this time with oem lock or flash lock or just the opposite of unlock
DO NOT OTA UPDATE OVER UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
Thank you for your help sir. But I risk to update my note10 plus on OTA with unlocked bootloader and I updated it successfully to latest version.

So lately, I tried to unlock bootloader of my Samsung Galaxy M30 with One UI Core 2.0. As I had read in many guides that after successful unlock, the option of unlocking OEM will be grayed out. But when I enabled it, it asked for my device PIN, then Samsung account password and switched off automatically. After factory reset, it booted up but the OEM unlock option was still blue and togglable. It read Bootloader already unlocked!
I'm confused because there was no 'device lock' mode in download mode, no need to 'long press power up to unlock Bootloader in download mode' or 'no gray toggles'.
On Download Mode I could see "OEM lock: OFF" . Does it mean that my Bootloader is unlock.

You are bootloader unlocked. Check the guides on this forum, and also the TWRP thread.

Trying to root my note 10+, i've enabled the oem unlock and tried to follow a guide to unlock the bootloader. but when i try to press and hold the vol up key nothing happens and bootloader wont unlock, tried to just flash twrp but get blocked by OEM lock. any help appreciated.
did you find a solution? First you need to unlock this option from developer options.
Hi I have the wifi only gt310 and when I go to developer options there is no OEM unlock feature. I can get to recovery though using power and vol up on boot. Im just wondering if I can proceed to flash a new rom or if I need to unlock the bootloader - as I have not been successful with finding those instructions on how to do this
I was able to use adb to see my device but fastboot bootloader restart did not work. It seemed to hang on waiting for device.
You don't need to unlock bootloader on wifi only versions
hello everyone
i have device SM-G960F Indonesia
with latest modem and bootloader which is G960FXXUHFVB4
security patch 1 march 2022
developer option is = ON
OEM UNLOCKING = ON (Bootloader already unlocked)
USB DEBUGGING = ON
*in Download mode
RMM STATE = PRENORMAL
KG STATE = CHECKING....
FRP LOCK = OFF
OEM LOCK = OFF
the question is , i can't install twrp. how ?
error : "Only Official binaries are allowed to be flashed".
i've been looking to google page 2 but no solution
1. from changing the date trick,
2. using miracle box to baypass the rmm
none of them works,
i still can't install twrp, error : "Only Official binaries are allowed to be flashed"
if there's anyone who can solve my problem, i owe you my thanks.
I don't know if it applied to the S9, but most recent Samsung phones have a very particular way of fully unlocking the bootloader as such
How to unlock bootloader:
- Backup all your media, this process will delete your internal media including music and photos
- Go to developer settings and enable [OEM Unlock]
- Reboot to download mode
- When prompted, press and hold VOL + to enter bootloader unlock mode
- Press VOL + to confirm you want to unlock bootloader, this will wipe your data
- If you think the bootloader is fully unlocked, it is actually not! Samsung introduced VaultKeeper, meaning the bootloader will still reject any unofficial partitions before VaultKeeper explicitly allows it.
- Go through the initial setup. Skip through all the steps since data will be wiped again later when we flash TWRP and magisk
- Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and is grayed out. This means the VaultKeeper service has unleashed the bootloader. This step is MANDATORY
- Your bootloader now accepts unofficial images in download mode.

Yeah it looks like the guide really covered their bases. Check download mode and check unlock mode to see if it asks you to unlock (and not lock) the device.
I've had Samsung devices in the past that required this step more than once since the first time it still gave me the option to unlock instead of locking, which means that it didn't really unlock in the first place.
Has anybody solved this issue?
