My googling tells me the OTA updates would be under /data/lineageos_updates, but I simply don't have such a directory under /data/
Does LOS wipe out the downloads after installation? If not, I feel the need to clean it up regularly.
Thanks

The built in updater has options to delete downloaded files manually or automatically.

I want to install the 3.32 OTA so I had to restore my phone a bit. Last time I did this was about a month ago, and I must be forgetting something... but I cannot run the OTA because of problems with the build.prop file.
I flashed the default recovery and uninstalled one app that I know tweaked the system by modifying the build.prop file, however, this didn't work. The log still says "unexpected content in system/build.prop".
I have uninstalled 3 or 4 other apps that I suspect may modify the build.prop file and turned on the SuperSU logging to make sure I wasn't missing any other app which was getting root permission to modify it.... I thought I found them all. However, I just tried running the OTA for the third time, and it still shows that the build.prop file has been altered.
I know I could download the OTA, modify the updater script, then copy it back to the phone, but before I do that I wanted to just get a default copy of the file. What could I download (i.e., a RUU, a stock nandroid, etc.) that I could unpack to get one??
Thanks!
This is a tough one. The OTA only has the patch file so that is out. You can unpack the RUU but then you get disk image files. If you can figure out a way to unpack the .img files, I'm guessing would be in there.

Thanks for replying... I must have had a brain tumor for breakfast yesterday because there was already a backup copy in the system folder. I don't know how I missed it.
where can I find the update after downloading it
Downloads folder
I'm running running the 4.4.2 bug fixing module if it matters.
When trying to: Download apk's, save pictures, use TB, I get an inability to access proper location error.
(Screens hots say USB storage maybe turned on.)
(TB says that storage/emulated/0/legacy can't be accessed. )
Es and other file explorers show that location as the only existing folder inside of internal storage. ("0").
Nothing else is in either folder.
I want to "restore" (Whether that be create folders, or re-flash)
EDIT: Using "Undeleter" app to recover all Archive file types (Zip, Apk, Jar.) And Image file types (there were like 8 different kinds.) Now my plan is to save it all to internal memory storage/emulated/0
I have no clue what else to do, or how to address the Legacy folder inside if "0".
Thanks in advance.
Also want to upgrade to Sm-900t/TWRP/Root/Xposed/5.0 Lollipop in the future if anyone can link a tutorial.
Would be willing to accept newest update as long as TWRP/ROOT/XPOSED are functional and Multi-Window/Pen-Window are both functional.
You could flash the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com using Odin. Then flash twrp via Odin. Flash supersu via TWRP to get root, then install xposed.
Where does LineageOS save its updater files. CM used to save them in /sdcard/cmupdater, but I can't find the LineageOS versions. I want to exclude this folder when syncing my device to external storage. Thank you in advance for anyone who can help answer this question.
/data/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates
Thank you! I did a search with ES File Explorer for the nightly update file but it did not find it.
If you are looking at ES File Explorer, are you in recovery mode? I believe the file(s) in question are in a folder in the recovery space, not the regular system / data space. If, for example, you are using TWRP, use the built-in file manager. Hope that helps.
Please note, this value has since changed (Late August, I believe, or early September).
Specifically, while it used to be /data/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates
it is now /data/lineageos_updates
I wanted to update to the latest version of xiaomi.eu, which is no longer for fastboot, but for recovery. At first internal storage had (0mb), I changed it to EXT4, but still the problem is no visibility/ability to install the latest ROM copied to the phone, what to do?
I download the rom with the phone, reboot with TWRP-3.6.2, install, zip archive anb install, after select system an reboot
I cant do antything in TWRP because TWRP doesnt see ROM copied on storage.. All tutorials say "just go into twrp and install the copied rom", I don't see the copied ROM!
You have to look in a sub folder it will no show at root directory can't remember off hand might be data or meta something like that, after the OTA updater works great

If you don't help yourself, no one here will.
1. TWRP installation
2. wipe+factory
3. boot system
4. copy rom
5. boot twrp
6. install
