Why is lineage 18 below android 7 ? - LineageOS Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have a nokia 6.1 with lineage 18.
I am attempting to use it with the windows your phone app in windows.
When I download the your phone companion app for android ( via apkpure - I dont have google services ), when I run it, it says I am running an older version of android??
It says I need to update to android 7 or higher!!
I am having no luck getting past this- anybody any ideas?

[Q] MTP Driver on Win 8.1

I own a HTC One X running Android 4.1.1. I am using Android Revolution HD 16.0 ROM by mike1986.
Recently I installed Win 8.1 Pro N and after installing the latest HTC Sync manager, I still cannot access my phone memory.
It used to work as a USB stick on Win 7. The Device Manager insists that I am missing an MTP driver. From my searches I concluded that this driver is exactly what I need, however I can't find it anywhere.
Or maybe it could be my outdated Android version?
I'll appreciate some help.
Cheers,
Joro
Got it
Alright, this thread helped me.
Apparently I need the media feature pack for Win 8.1 N.
F you M$ :X
Just uninstall Sync manager..Then again plug USB and let Windows to install drivers..

Windows store no work need a update..

Hello guys after i reset my surface when i go to windows store say ( update windows ) so if is the last windows for surface rt how work again ???
Store is broken on many Surface RT devices (possibly all RT?) currently. Responses from MS is that they are working on it. I think it started with an update released around the 14th or 16th of August.
Devices that haven't cleared the app store cache still seem to work, devices that have recently been refreshed don't.

Please report back if store works after upgrading 8.0 to 8.1 via Windows Updates. If so I'll start over with 8.0, get store working, then apply Windows Updates. It has taken hours just to get 8.1 to finish all Windows Updates and I don't want to start the process again if it won't work.
The other option would be to install 8.0, get all the apps I think I'll need for now, then let it upgrade to 8.1
Report back if you can.

It worked for me. Make Sure you get Nexus 5X "OTA" file and not the Factory install zip.
I was on July 2017 patch, 7.1.2 Nexus 5X
After Step 15, I was getting "error getting to google Servers"
I installed gam 6 again and tried again with another account that didn't have 2 factor.

'Can't install Galaxy Wearable' popup occurs when trying to install it on Android 10

Ever since I updated to Android 10 on my Pixel 2 XL I have been getting the popup 'Can't install galaxy wearable. Try again, and if it still doesn't work see common ways to fix the problem' every time I try to install Galaxy Wearable.
This popup shows up immediately after it's been downloaded.
I don't know why this occurs and I haven't found a solution anywhere. Am I suppose to install certain plug-ins before that? I remember getting the same error doing that.
Please help....Please.
What version are you trying to install? I'm running ver. 2.2.28.19111561 on my Pixel 3XL Android 10 Nov build. You can try to manually install this version available at APKMirror located here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...ng-gear-2-2-28-19111561-android-apk-download/
Still didn't work... Could not install error.

Pokémon Go unable to load

Hi
I just bought a BS3 with Global ROM (Google Playstore is there). Stock standard with no root whatsoever. Android OS 10.
Downloaded the Pokémon Go from Google Playstore, and I tried to load up. Received the following error message.
“This device, OS, or software is not compatible with Pokémon GO”
Does anyone knows a workaround? Thanks.
