I recently bought a watch 3 from facebook marketplace. The seller said that he simply forgot the pin code. I figured, easy fix, and I have a cheap watch 3. Turns out that it was actually a part of the West Point Covid Tracing program and is locked down, HARD. No recovery option in boot menu, can't change wi-fi, bluetooth or connections settings. Will not allow connecting to a phone. Can't reset through the watch itself.
I've tried to connect it to my computer and use Odin. It will connect to my computer using the boot menu option Download wirelessly, but Odin will not see it. The watch keeps saying start Odin. My Note 20 Ultra connects to Odin just fine. So, it's not a firewall issue.
I even went so far as to contact the West Point email address the watch pointed me too. I got a response from a scientist stating that the program is over, and she doesn't have any additional info, or a way to get passed the restrictions. She also said that he wasn't supposed to sell it. Well, great!
Does anyone have any hints, tips, tricks, info, workarounds? The watch is in damn near mint condition. I can get into the developer menu, it will let me run all of the diagnostics, but nothing to do with resetting. I really want to be able to use this.
Thanks for any and all help.
Are you using NetOdin to conmect to your Watch? It is not the same Odin, which is used to connect to phones (like your Note 20 Ultra).

Uhhhh, NOPE! lol I was trying to use plain ol Odin. Well, THAT might be the issue... Since you responded, and seem to have a grasp (this is ALL new to me), how do I know WHICH firmware version that I need? It's a Galaxy Watch 3 SM-R840. What other info would you need? Thank you for this help, so far!

I was able to use Netodin and flash the watch. It worked for a bit, and then knox came back biting. I've been looking for the workaround for this. Do you know the direction to look?
Normally Knox should not be a problem, because you have flashed an official firmware. Maybe you can try a factory reset.

maybe friend Ogre mind the same my problem:
my qtek9090 has any hardware malfunction because often to connect GPRS or, also if connected, when there is not data excange, i must to shake the device.
It's in warranty but I have no more confidence in service and this is a sub-standard phone.
Then I get out the SIM and go to web via bluetooth through my Nokia6310i that is a great EDGE phone.
The problem is that anything don't permit my agenda fusion to compose number of a contact via bluetooth on 6310.
I thank anyone that can post a workaround.
If it is in warranty they should repair it for free or exchange it with new one
Yes, of course.
But I don't can remain without PDA for a few days.
Tank You for reply.
HI Team,
I am very impressed by you work here.
I am unfortunately not a tech geek and I don't have much idea about phones troubleshooting. I need you all to try your best to help me.
I have a Xperia S Lt26i.It is already rooted as my brother who previously used it rooted it. The name of the root group is Tux Kernel (I see this when the phone restarts.)
Just two days ago my cousin was playing with the phone and he pressed the wrong pattern code for more than 20 times. My phone is not connected to 4g or wifi. I am unable to answer the secret question. I have my gmail configured on the device but it doesn't give access even though I enter the correct username and password. My brothers gmail was configured on it at the time of purchase(FYI)
No whatever I try it doesn't help me. If I connect the device to my PC. Sony Companion center doesn't recognize it. I have some very important notes on my phone under notes and I will be sacked from my job if I miss those notes. I am only the bread earner for my family.
I just want help to recover the notes on my device. Please let me know in detail the steps while you answer it will be of great help.
Forgot to inform you people that my usb debugging option is also disabled on my phone.
I am even ready to pay for this service as this group is my only hope after 16 hours of internet search.
GOD bless you please help me resolve my problem.

Yes I have tried those steps. That steps are for phones which are originally having the sony software. However, I have a rooted phone and it never gets detected if I connect to sony PC companion.

If You are able to receive calls, are You not able to access the phone while being in call? This might be worth a try!

Hello xda community!
I have a strange and serious problem: I can't connect to hidden WiFi's.
I'm with a LG G3 D855 10H (no newer versions available).
At work we use a hidden WiFi without password but with Juniper VPN.
When I type in the network name and save it, it tries one time to connect, then my LG G3 shows "not in range". After a few seconds, the WiFi is on the top again with a very good signal.
When I try to connect again, it shows "not in range" again and so on.
I tried it at home and created a hidden network and it was reproducible.
Anyone else has problem with this?
Many thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Jake

Now that is what you call a 'special' post!
Would you care to explain how it was resolved for the people that have the problem.
My problem still exists, but isn't urgent anymore.
I found out, Android itself have problems (or restrictions?) to hidden WiFi networks.
I also found an app names HiddenSSID Enabler, but it seems it didn't work for me (or G3?).
If someone has a solution it still would be very helpful fo rme and the rest of the community.

I have logs posted in my first post, WIFI DESTROYED TWICE or there abouts.
I've had to resort to DATA and its killing me haha i think i am getting close to fixing it, well i think i may be closer than you two and can one of you kindly take the lead as im reinstalling windows and i haven't gamed in 6 days :|
/system/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcomcfg.ini
then the problem is complex but i am sure it is something to do with gEnableApProt=1
Offshoot fix, reinstall using googled imei number that doesn't have a flag or some how fix the flag <READ A FEW DAYS BACK>
I think actually the program that stuffed me was Airmon by maxters. It asked me if i was pro and of course, i said yes. Who would simply click no? I know a ninj wouldn't click no. I think there is a manual reinstall to link to it again i find the modem in its own partition having a chill, most likely trojan/backdoor and pwning everything around me.. I had three encrypted vpn backdoors and escalated accounts on my computer I paid the 5$ for the binarys, i think i paid 5$ for the back doors.
Not to sell Airmon out though.. Rooting our phones and accessing countless forums and websites really does leave us rather "xposed" some other cuplrits may be dsploit, ROM manager, linux Deploy/kali, Pamn IP scanner, system app remover pro, busybox pro's (Stephen/JRummy) or CMinstall/accessing the forums and trying to install cynagenmod / twrp recovery. I'm probably going to go with..... Airmon/Linuxdeploy or uninstalltool. But may have just been my IP logged and i hit a booby trap script along the way.
You guys done anything of the sort?

Neither I understand what you are talking about, nor am I (as not native english speaker) good at "sentence guessing".
I have a rooted phone - of course.
But I'm pretty sure my WiFi is not destroyed...
I'm getting crazy here.
I'm setting up my Note 10 Plus to Link to Windows and I follow the guide.
I am stuck on my phone where it says something like: Check your pc - We're checking something on your pc before asking for a final permission".
I have tried anything - Please help mere here.

I think Microsoft is having an issue with the desktop client at the moment. I used this last week without any issues, but it won't sync today. Looks like from the reviews of the desktop client on Microsoft store that this is not an isolated issue. I'd say be patient and wait until they push a bug update.

Same here, UK Note 10+ 5G.
It may just be that Samsung has neglected to push out some needed files, happens sometimes, such as last year with Linux on DeX.
Anyone running this already, please feel free to jump in.
Dumb question but did you try rebooting the computer

A friend of mine gived to me a SM-N975X Note 10+ model. It looks like a demo unit model unable to read a sim and call.
I'd like flash a stock rom with Odin but I can't find a "SM-N975X" rom. Only "Combination file" that I dont know wath it is.
Some hints?
Thx a lot
Looks like that's a demo unit and nothing more then just a demo unit.
Searching the forum found the following thread that contains info which will answer your question.

You can unlock it with a password , if it's from a best buy store
I mean to unlock the demo retailer stuff that keeps cycling , and you would be able to use it normally , without the sim.
Step 1
From your Home Screen touch the “Apps” icon – it’s in the bottom-right corner.
Step 2
Scroll through your apps and find “Samsung Retail Mode” app ….. not be confused with the “RetailMode” app. Open up Samsung Retail Mode.
Step 3
Touch “Configuration settings”
Step 4
Enter the password: blue
and touch OK
To consider: maybe this phone wont be able to charge to 100% , it's top is 70%
Let us know if this worked for you !
Zappomax - Are you asking how to disable the store demo mode or how to make it so the phone can use a sim card and access the cell network.
Your original post made it sound like you wanted to use it on the cell network, but in hindsight you may have been asking about something else.

What I'd like to do is using all the usual cell phone features like a stock phone (especially sim calls).
I heard about "combination file" rom but I don't know exactly if it is useful in this case
Unfortunately, no, it will be of no use, the demo units in any case are not capable to do what you want, it is not just a firmware thing, it is a phisical restriction what prevents them from being used as regular phones, no way to circumvent it, that's it, to finish this, that these demo units end in the hands of people is an irregular ocvurence, as all these units are intended to return to Samsung once their life cycle ends, they are nit intended to be sold in any case, so...

Adding a little more info the combination file requires a token in order to be flashed/used. This token is not free and costs a pretty hefty sum (per posts here on the forum).
Without this token (or "authorization for use" if this term fits better) you will not be able to use the firmware.

There is no hardware for that on those demo motherboards ( anthenas connectors and cables are missing there )
