SGN2 - Homescreen only 4x4 icons !!??

Just bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the homescreen has 4x4 icons only!!!?? What they thinking !!?? On such a large screen a 4x4 icon only!!!??
I know you can add another launcher, but then you loose functionality like pop-up notes when you pull out the pen, probably multi-screen too etc.
This really SUCKS!!
Is there some Touchwiz setting for this?//

Well i can say multiscreen works perfectly with the Nova launcher, i've had that launcher on the Note 2 since i bought it, and it runs perfectly...
Haven't noticed any problems with the pen or system using Nova, though i'll admit that it doesn't pop up with Notes when you take the pen out, not a massive compremise for having a better launcher though, haven't tried using it with ADW or any other launcher though

Thanks but don't you think this needs to be rectified by Samsung? What must have been their logic behind this ridiculous 4x4 icons on the Homescreen?
I am using the Nova launcher too. But it just bugs me that I cant use all the functionality with my phone.

The original note has 5x5... but u cant resize third party widgets so they look horrible. . So I guess 4x4 is better

Use Nova Launcher.

[Q] Is there a way

to customize my Samsung Note 2 Grids? These big ass Icons and only having a grid 4 X 4 is really annoying. I want to add more to my pages... On the Note 1 we were able to make the screen have at least 5X5... And to make the icons smaller..

I would suggest using Apex launcher! I have the pro version and can go to Apex settings > Homescreen settings> then portrait or Landscape grid. I currently have mine set to the max 10 X 10.

I know there are Launchers that do that.... But I was able to do that with out a launcher on the Note 1.
So no such luck with the note 2.. So far....
Is the Apex Launcher Heavy? does it bog down the phone.. does it have all those extra widgits and stuff like the Go Launcher.

There is (almost) whatever you want! Take a look at the ply store reviews! Try the free version first & see if you like it! If not just un install!

Transparent topbar with custom wallpaper?

Hey guys
I just got my G Pad 8.3 2 days ago, and now I want to use a custom wallpaper, since I don't like the stock ones that much.
But whenever I change to a custom wallpaper the topbar is no longer transparent. Is there a way to fix this, without rooting?
I would like to kepp my warranty and use the fabric installed OS.
I have a Galaxy S4 where I don't have this problem.
I tested Apex launcher at that solved it, but for some reason I don't like the feel of Apex launcher. It feels different than the stock launcher which i would like to keep.

Give Nova a try. I use it to hide the bar and it works good.

Maybe it does, but I would like to keep the stock launcher if possible.

Strange, I have stock 4.4.2 with stock LG launcher and I got transparent notification bar always, regardless of how I change my wallpaper (through menu or from gallery). I remember even with the "old" stock 4.1 it was anlways transparent.

That just makes my situation much more strange. I have stock 4.4.2 - the tablet was bought 9 days ago..

Verizon Note 4 TW 4x5, 5x5, 6x6 grid launcher in need of!!!

Sorry if this has been asked. I've looked high and low found them on other carrier note 4 forums and even tried them with our verizon note 4. But I can't find any made for our note 4. I'm looking to change my grid size from stock 4x4 to 5x5 or 6x6 anything other then stock. I know I can use Nova or some other 3rd party launcher but that's not what I'm trying to get here. I have a retail note 4 converted to a developer edition and flashed every rom that we have in our forum I always find my way back to jasmine rom. it's all but stock then I add my xposed and tweet it to my liking but now I would like to get more use of my 5.7 inch screen other then what samsung wants me to use. I just hate 4x4 gid so much valuable room wasted. Like I said I tried the other grid packs from sprint and t-mobile but once there in they bug out so I'm hoping someone has made them for our verizon note 4. Any help would be great and thanks for taking the time to try and help..

I could be wrong, but I believe that you can accomplish this by changing the default DPI to something different, while also changing the launcher to something like Google Now. When I flashed CM13, my DPI was different and I got rows of 5 apps by default with the Google Now Launcher.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see that you would like this feature with the stock launcher. Not sure then.

Thanks for the reply, but yeah, looking for this in TouchWiz. I currently use Nova which is a great launcher, but I miss having a few of the TW only widgets.

Try Next launcher 3D shell. Google it or get it off blackmart. It works with stock widgets. It's what I use and I like it. just don't use there widgets or turn on the 3D part.

How to reduce icon size in default launcher? [non rooted]

How to reduce the icon size of the stock launcher??? I havnt rooted my honor 8 pro yet.... Is there any way to change without rooting??

No way, if u need that you can use other Launcher like Nova or Microsoft Arow Launcher

There is an option in settings. But it will also reduce the size of navigation bar. My father uses h8 pro and now am away from home so dont remember where thhs option was in settings.
