The device is draining the battery too fast, out of the ordinary even though I'm not using the device. We've already changed the battery and the problem persists, both on MIUI 11 (previously) and on MIUI 12 (updated yesterday). What could be causing this problem? I already uninstalled the famous "Device Health Service" but it didn't make any difference... Could it be a hardware problem? Or is there something else in the software part that I could try to solve the problem?

Hi folks,
I have T-Mobile Note 3 with stock KitKat installed on it. I also have Sony Smartwatch SW2 paired with it. The problem is that GSAM indicates that about 40% of battery is consumed by Kernel (Android OS). I fail to understand what processes are causing this huge current drain. I have already disabled location services and haven't found it to make a huge difference.
Has anyone else encountered similar issue? If yes, what is the solution? My phone is a work phone so I don't want to install custom ROM.
Thanks,
KS

Is you click the kernel in last screen shot it should tell you what app is keeping it awake and draining battery.
TWEAKED N3
I have the same issue, but clicking on the kernel just shows all relative processes.

Hi, does anyone know what this wakelock is and how can i stop it? As you can see the app does not see it as a big problem because of 16s time bit number of wakeups is worrying - more than 4000..
You hardly find anything about that on the internet
Yeah, i hardly found anything about it too. But i was hoping somebody was dealing with similiar wakelock.
What is that, German, or Russian, Maybe? This phone has the most phenomenal battery life I've ever experienced. Wish i could help. American version on sprint CDMA network.

Yes, Polish T-Mobile model I really do not know what to do this with this wakelock. Maybe it's because of some app ? (I have BBS installed nonroot with adb) But then again if I uninstall this app then i don't know if I solved the wakelock Did you tried factory reset DeeZZ_NuuZZ?

Before and after switching ROM you have this wakelock? Because i would try factory reset but I don't like it that i have to install all apps, choose all the right setting and in the end it doesn't solve the problem.

Probably not.
They are most of the time not responsible for the Wakelocks but the first thing that's happening After awakening.
Also EVERYONE has them! No kidding!
You can have a factory Reset phone without Google account and you won't get rid of them
You can see it here:

Is it safe to block them in amplify? Or should I leave then untouched?
Power Nap [Xposed Module] also blocks them. But it doesn't matter. Because they do not wake the phone, they happen when the phone gets awaken by something else.
Check this out (With Power Nap enabled and What's app excluded)
As you can see, almost no Userspace Wakelocks:
As always Google Services is the only thing you simply cannot shut up, no matter what
But yeah, the Problem is on the Kernel Level....
You see a Normal Wake due to an UserSpace Wakelock:
And one that's happening due to Kernel:
So as long as you have these Kernel wakes, the BatteryServiceUpdateStats_3 will activate at the same time. Batterylife itself is not really affected.

I started getting the BatteryServiceUpdateStats_3 wakelock a few days ago, tried different kernels and factory reset and no joy getting rid of it. It is affecting my battery life big time.
My phone stays awake and is draining at 7% per hour with the screen off. Lucky to be getting 7 hours of use out of it in a day with light usage...
So basically you are saying that an app is responsible for this?
I have this SAME EXACT wakelock and problem. I have researched it endlessly with 0 luck at all. This has been an issue regardless of running marshmallow or N, a different kernel, a different ROM, etc. This wakelock on top of the 10's horrible WiFi makes my battery life absolutely terrible. If I can't fix this within 2 months (when I reach a year paid off on my payment plan) I am selling this phone and upgrading because the battery life it so intolerable. If someone could shed any light on this wakelock that would be awesome.
I have the same problem, I couldn't fine solution. Apparently is a problem only for sense rom..

Keep your WiFi turned off on your 10 and watch how much you standby drain improves lol...It's a faulty WiFi setup in the 10. I don't think it's software related either. I heard it's the physical placement of the WiFi antennae from @LeeDroid

Hello everyone,
OP3 with OpenBeta 20 here. I have a Xiaomi MiBand 1S that always had a solid 2 weeks battery duration.
Since OB19, MiBand battery drastically dropped to 3-4 days. I'm pretty sure it's a bug related to the new bluetooth devices "improvements".
I also found someone from the Italian OP3 Facebook Community that has the exact same problem with MiBand 2 too.
Has anyone got the same problem? Do you know any workaround waiting for an official fix?
Thanks a lot!
EDIT: problem completely solved after OB21 update!
Hey
Same problem here - miband 2, OP3 with Open Beta 20, problems started with Open Beta 19.
Dropping bartery to 0%, pairing again, updates of firmware or app didnt helped.
I had the same problem with my mi band 2-
I reinstalled the mi band app and then i disabled all of the notification displayed on the band (calories, steps, etc..), the notification from the phone and the sleep assistant (basically disabled everything i could)
After that the battery drain was normal again, than I enabled everything i wanted again and the battery drain was back to normal
You can also try and delete the band from your device Bluetooth history
I'm using OB20 ( rooted with stock kernel for the last couple of days)
I think it has to do with the phone atempting to read battery level of the mi band.
New feature, battery level next to the bleutooth icon.
And it's keeps trying, but it can't.
I have miband 2, same problem.

Battery drain magically disappeared after OpenBeta 21 update!
After update to 10.2.5.0 (global) I noticed The battery is drained much faster than before without changing any settings. It's seems to be caused by the radio. See screenshot. Any idea how to fix this?
what a while that you battery make recalibartion after few charges
It is already a few cycles after the last update and no change. I'm loosing around 5% battery per hour right now when screen is off. Phone is connected to WiFi and mobile signal is excellent, no challenging conditions here.
Try to turn off wifi scanning on location , maybe
Tap a few times on "About Phone" -> "Internal Storage" and in the Testing app that opens click on "Phone Information 1" -> "Set Preferred Network Type". Check that the setting is right for you (I'm in Italy and I have set "LTE/UMTS"). By default you should see something in the lines of LTE/TD-SCDMA and it's the wrong configuration outside of China.
Hi mate,
strange, i did update it yesterday and i didn't noticed any changement on the battery drain.
Changing preferred network type does not affect the battery lifetime. Also it switch back to defualt setting after reboot.

Yeah, it does indeed revert back to the default borked setting after a reboot, that seems unfortunately a bug that they need to address asap.
In my case switching network mode helped quite a bit. When I bought the phone it drained about 4/5% hour, now it's at a stable pace of 1% hour. It's still a bit too much and they need to fix the modem firmware as soon as possible, but in the meantime at least my phone is usable (aside from the broken notifications and the useless AoD).
10.3.x should fix quite a bit of bugs and should be out soon. The china version is already out so it should be a matter of days (or weeks)...
Are you guys using Global rom or EU rom?
EU rom is supposed to be better than global...
Good to know that the issue is known and most likely to be fixed. At least not a hardware issue. I'm on 10.2.5.0 PFBEUXM.
Same here but I have the global rom

I have the same problem, rom global, battery drain due to radio.
Monitoring battery use with GSam I see that the cpu never go in deep sleep.
I'm in the same boat, the standby drain is terrible. If I'm lucky I manage to get 3.5 hours of SoT. I'm on global stable 10.2.2.0 PFBMIXM.

I have mine like your screenshot but WiFi seems to be ON all the time...

for me sot on miui 11 almost the same on miui 10
Screen uses more battery. Is that normal?
So you are getting a whole day with 7+ hrs SoT, and you think that's not enough?
No problem, it's always recommended to factory reset after any major update, as some data may conflict, bringing bugs.
It seems like you only need to uninstall system apps updates, then update them manually, if you want.
