Question CN MODEL DOES IT WORK WITH TMOBILE 5G - OnePlus 9 Pro

Hi. Did anyone purchase a oversea model and use in the United States? Are you able to use the 5 G with TMOBILE

I have a OnePlus that I purchased from BestBuy and is the LE2125 version I use on TM. Which model do you have? LE21?? It should work with TMobile 5g.

LE2125 is the north america/global version. If they bought the CN version it is a different model and likely running ColorOS

You're going to be missing a LOT of bands on the Chinese version. You get 2, 4, 12, 41, but are missing 66 and 71. You're also only going to get one band of 5G, and missing out on 3, including the MMWave stuff.-
You will NOT have a good time on that phone.

Redmi Note 5 TW (with LTE B28 700Mhz) - Where to buy?

Xiaomi have released Redmi Note 5 in Taiwan with more LTE band support than global variant.
TW Specs from : http://www.mi.com/tw/redmi-note-5/specs/
Taiwan model:
Code:
4G:FDD-LTE B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28
TDD-LTE B38/B40
Global model:
Code:
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B20
TDD-LTE B38/B40
Many markets worldwide apart from Taiwan make use of the extra B28 (700Mhz) - Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Panama, Japan, France. There are probably more I have left out. Its basically our equivalent of B20 which gives us better rural coverage and better building penetration.
I have looked everywhere including Aliexpress and they aren't selling this model. Can anyone find it anywhere other than Xiaomi Taiwan site?
I have read:
This Band 28(700Mhz) is scheduled to begin in 2020 for mobile (5G broadband services)
That might be true in your country, its been in other places for years. Since 2014 in Australia. I think its delayed in Europe due to terrestrial TV using that frequency, ours was switched off years ago.
ok,thanks for the info
It is also used in Nigeria by a network known as Glo. LTE band 28(700) travels very far and has better in-building penetration than most LTE bands.
By the way, I've also checked Aliexpress for the variant of redmi note 5 that support band 28, and it's not available yet. I don't think I can wait for it any longer. I'll have to settle for the Global variant.
where did you get the band list for the Global version from? pdadb so far has always been accurate on the supported bands and it lists Band 28 as included for the Global version:
http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=devi...e_64gb_meg7s___xiaomi_whyred&d=detailed_specs
@celoxocis Seems to differ from this one https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-xiaomi-redmi-note-5 Doesn't list B28
@lukesan
kimovil has been wrong in the past.
I used to import US version phones and always used pdadb for proper (required) bands. Where all other sites would list missing bands pdadb would list all complete bands. So I see pdadb as trustworthy and professional sites who check the phones specifications for accuracy.
@celoxocis https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9120#hong-kong,*,* another one that doesn't show B28 BUT the Taiwan version shows B28
This is all getting confusing. On all Aliexpress sellers I don't see B28, only the very much used B20 in Europe. Looking for the Taiwan version on Aliexpress seems to not show anything.
@lukesan
gsmarena never lists proper bands. it misses half the bands of my axon 7 us version (pdadb lists the proper bands). never go to gsmarena to check for bands. aliexpress only sells Chinese versions with global ROM anyway. don't go there or they will trick you to buy one of those.
I contacted aliexpress sellers that are selling global model, they said no B28. So far only place I have found is a eBay seller from Taiwan but its overpriced so not buying yet: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Xiaomi-Red...hash=item1cac64e701:m:mUYSnnhRa49uuBF-7QnmBSw
Did anyone find a place? I am still looking around for this.
Not sure if it will be any help for you, but I just bought this one off of Amazon.ca - https://www.amazon.ca/Xiaomi-Unlocked-Global-Version-4-64GB/dp/B07D82MTZL/ - and it has band 28.
I bought a couple of this guy from Taiwan ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/123151713017 so I can confirm that the seller is good. Good communication answered all my questions, and he packaged everything securely inside a DHL box. The boxes inside were still shrink wrapped as I expect they would come from Xiaomi.
It may be a bit overpriced though as said here for some reason nobody else is putting the Taiwanese version up.
Aqq123 said:
FYI the list price for that version in Taiwan is TWD 8,000, or about AUD 355, so the mark-up is about 23%.
(438/355-1)*100 ~= 23.3803

This Amazon.ca listing has the RN5 with Band 28. Both resellers (Maple Mountain Imports and JP Mobiles CA) sell the same version of the phone, and fulfilment is by Amazon. I am not sure how useful this is to anyone not in Canada, but I figured I'd mention it here for anyone who is still looking for some place besides eBay. I received mine today (2 day shipping) and the phone is new in shrinkwrap, etc.
I also purchased one from the Ebay seller as mentioned by tya99. I will also add that it was packed as described and arrived in my hand in Australia in only two days from ordering. Very happy with it.
In France, some operator already use B28, since more than 1 year ago
It is for this same reason (LTE band 28) that I wanted to buy redmi note 5 special edition. Now there is a redmi note 5 with LTE band 28 that nobody knows where to buy it from. It's a pity Xiaomi doesn't care to make it popular.
In Nigeria (the most populus country in Africa) that LTE band 28 is in hot demand used by GSM network called globacom.
I want to get that but might have to settle for global or China redmi note 5 as I have already purchased MiFi modem with LTE band 28.
I'M still in love with my old Samsung note 4 screen and camera, I don't know if redmi note 5 screen will be close to it but at some point I have to upgrade.

This Taiwanese version has also been released in Mexico, and possibly in Chile and Bolivia. I bought mine in Mercadolivre (auction-site-turned-marketplace just like eBay), from someone who imported it from Mexico to Brazil. If you have some sort of communication channel to a seller, you can ask them directly for the model number printed on the back side of the box: the regular "Global" model is model M1803E7SG, while the Taiwanese/Mexican model with B28 support is M1803E7SH.

Ordered 7t through Amazon, have questions.

Hey guys I am getting my wife a 7t. I was going to get it from their official site but noticed that Amazon had the 7t with 256gb ROM for cheaper. I noticed in the reviews a few people were complaining its the Chinese model (HD1900) and that its not global version. Should I cancel my order and just get it from one plus' website or am I fine with the one coming from amazon?
Don't take my word only but I don't think there is a specific model for China. I believe there is only a global model, european model and indan model. And a T-Mobile model if you want to count that. So I would think you probably got the global model and should be good but let someone else come in here and confirm it
You should be fine, I have the same model. all I did was change the rom to the global rom because it does come with Hydrogen OS. And also it should work fine with US carriers, I tried T-mobile, Verizon and AT&T
I think the basic differences between various variants are the network frequency bands. The question is which bands are supported in your region. On the basis of that, you can choose the correct variant.

See the connectivity section for details.
I am from India and I ordered 7T from amazon and I got the Indian variant (HD1901).

This.
HD1900 is missing bands 25, 30, 46, 66, 71.
25 is a superset of 2, currently used by Sprint and potentially by TMobile eventually.
30 is important for ATT.
66 is a superset of 4, used by all the main supported carriers, although generally you'll be fine with just band 4.
71 is TMobile's new lowband frequency.
Yes, the hd1900 would likely work fine with all the carriers, especially in urban areas. However, reception may be spottier (lack of lowband 71), or bandwidth may be lower (4 instead of 66, missing 30).
My guess is the hardware is the same, but there hasn't been much effort to figure out how to unlock the other bands.

Ah, I cannot confirm that whether the hardware is the same or not. But in other threads, people are saying that if you flash the roms of other regions you can unlock those bands. There are many tutorials out there on how to unlock all bandwidths. I'm giving some useful links. Read them. Maybe you can find what you're looking for.

Well i got it the 7t today and it works great with my carrier (Cricket but it shows AT&T in the menu). Im really impressed with it especially for paying less than $500, its a bit snappier than my s10+. It already had Oxygen 10.0.4 installed and I just flashed 10.0.7 global and it gave me an OTA for 10.0.9. Really nice phone!

Question Question about oneplus 9 pro LE2123 - EU version

Sorry if the same question asked before, I did the research and couldn't find the answer yet.
I bought 9 pro EU version for dual sim cards, and plan to root the phone too.
Since I'll use the phone with T-Mobile, will I get wifi calling as well as 5G? What's the best image I can use? Thanks

I believe the bands are very different from the US bands used here. You'll probably have a hard time simply connecting to T-Mobile, but if you have a SIM card lying around, it wouldn't hurt to see if I'm wrong .
I wish there was a definitive answer for this by now.... I need to buy a DUAL SIM phone with CUSTOM ROMS available that works on T-MOBILE... And I can't find anything that works for all 3 requirements
LE2123 is Chinese device right?
Why is the OP mentioning that it's an EU version?

The LE2123 supports T-Mobile bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 41, and 66 on LTE which means it's only missing 71 (which unfortunately is a large portion of indoor and rural coverage) but the 5G side is pretty bleak since it's missing n71. It has T-Mobile's n41 midband but without n71, you're going to drop from 5G to LTE a lot.
It will work, it just won't be the best you can get from T-Mo. I don't believe there is a device that meets your requirements with full compatibility unless you can deal with having eSIM for one slot and get an unlocked Pixel 6/Pro.

I live in Europe and I am thinking to buy a LE2120 device, but inside the OS settings it shows that it's LE2123.
Does this mean that it will work fine with the bands here?

It sounds like it has been converted to LE2123 software but the bands aren't changed by the software.

Question Help with Fold 3 5g problem.

Hi guys i've searched all over the net for a solution and i am starting to think that there is none.
I've bought a Samsung Fold3 5g SM-F926U1 and i think it is an US model. I live in Romania and i can't get 5g signal, only LTE. Tried everything that is normal, reset settings, update internet profile, switched on and off, selected 5G auto and/or GLOBAL.
Nothing works. Do you have any solution? Flash a different rom on it or something?
The phone is single sim, in Romania they sell the dual sim version
Thank you
The F926U supports these 5G bands:
SA/NSA/Sub6/mmWave (2, 5, 25, 41, 66, 71, 260, 261)
What 5G bands does your provider use?

Thanks for the tip. I will probably do the same if there is no other way.
it is possible the software installed on it is not playing nice with the carrier in your region.
for example. In the US, each carrier decides which version of SW update to release to their customer, but if a user brings their own device that was with another carrier hence has a different software version than what is being used for the new carrier... the phone tends to have issues or not be able to update and such.
Other possibility is that the region you are in doesn't use the band that the phone supports (but this might be less likely in my opinion, but I'm no professional nor do I have experience with overseas inter-usability so I may be wrong).

Question Is Pixel 6 pro model G8VOU Tmobile phone?

Hello, I purchased a pixel 6 pro from ebay, the seller had it listed as Tmobile phone, I got a phone with model number G8VOU. From searching the net, the model number is supposed to have mmWave and thus it should be either ATT or Verizon. The seller listed it based on the warranty information on the google website. Is it possible that this model number is a Tmobile phone?
Yes,I bought mine direct from T-Mobile US & that is the model number. The model number is going to be the same, regardless of which US Carrier it originated from or, purchased direct from Google US or as an unlocked model from US retail outlets.
Is model number GLUOG (only Sub6 for 5G) not the Tmobile version of this phone? Why would Tmobile sell phones with mmWave 5G (G8VOU) since they do not use this technology?
