About Project:
Cardinal-AOSP is a Custom ROM which was initially based on AOSPB, then we changed our mind and rebased it to AOSP-RRO, to get better compatibility with most of the devices, Cardinal is being built with Uber toolchain, with most of uber optimizations, with full Layers Support and with minimal customization, the main aim of this ROM is to bring stock AOSP experience as possible while maintaining performance, smoothness and good battery backup. Don't waste your time with Blackjubel ROMs.
He is a king for building them 2 or 3 times and then don't maintain it anymore...
He doesn't even bother to answer questions.
The only one he seems reliable with is Resurrection Remix.

Not true! Most of his builds are made when there's substantial changes in the ROM's source.

Time will tell.
Check his history and you'll see how many roms he built and don't maintain anymore...
Btw I don't want to start an argument so believe what you want.

Rooting
Since OmniROM does not come rooted out-of-the-box, you can use SuperSU or magisk to do that if needed.

Starting with build omni-7.1.1-20170311-athene, support for Substratum (OMS rootless) has been added.
To use themes, you have to:
Download the official substratum app from Google Playstore
Download themes (e.g. Magpie)
Apply overlays in substratum app
-> To recover from a bogus theme, delete the contents of the .substratum folder

Thanks for confirming, I was about to ask anyway.
Great, in the init script it states that fingerprint service will only start if that prop has been set. Apparently there is a mechanism that does this on Lineage. Will check that. If not, I will think of another approach. Sure enough, this should only get started on the Plus variant.

Does Substratum work with this ROM or if not are there plans to do so?

No this ROM has ambient display which is similar to motos active display

Runs smooth so far. But where can i find privacy manager?

I'd need that info for creating a helper service to start the fingerprint service on boot for Plus devices .

It is a bug. The ROM itself is 64-bit.
32-bit Gapps will work easily.
A new build compiled using latest tree will fix the arm bug easily. However, only the op can do that.

Seriously i think it will be the first and last build mate... I never seen a new rom posted without 1 reply from the builder/dev, no sign of life, just we know that he comes on xda but is not interested in the rom he offers lol .It's a great rom, but unfortunaly without support

some people have plenty of free time and think all the forum members have the same time free ( no one is forced to use the forum though )

CAF is Android with optimisations by Qualcomm for their chips and hence faster, smoother, less battery draining etc as compared to AOSP based ROMs

Thank you! May I ask, why do some AOSP ROMs have some *CAF Blobs* included? So does that mean those AOSP ROMs are also like CAF, thus a hybrid of AOSP and CAF?

My last Question: Do I still have to flash latest A11 Firmware?

I have flashed the latest Build (3.2). I flashed latest A11 Firmware
BUGS:
DT2W not working,
Calendar Widget when put on the screen is invisible.
Otherwise a very good CAF ROM.
