Hey,
I recently installed a Dasaita PX6. All things work well, except on thing bother me.
If I listen to music or blutooth, while the traffic service is enabled. When there is a radio traffic service message,
there is a little popup with tell me that the traffic service is played.
The problem now is, that the music or bluetooth didn't stop playing, so it is practically totally not understandable what is spoken.
Also I can increase the volume only for the traffic message. So I'm lost and didn't understand anything.
For the navigation is in the car settings the possibility to stop the music while a route is anounced, is there anywhere a possibility to get this for the traffic message too?
Or can help a different radio app?
Thanks Micha
Which radio app are you using? DAB+App? This one is creepy. Did you test whether radio stops playing when receiving a phone call? Didn‘t stop either for me.
i recommend using dab-z with a supported usb-dab+ dongle (not the dasaita dab003 box!!)
Apollon
I don't used DAB, just UKW Radio, the app. When I get a call, the sound muted.
But normally I don't listen to radio, I don't like the drivel so I prefer listen to music.

Afternoon all. As with most of us I use the Desire as an integrated MP3/SatNav etc while on the road. The problem I'm having while listening to music via a bluetooth headset is an irritating series of beeps every time the phone loses signal - quite a common occurrence when in a rural area - and I'd like to turn off the audible notification. Can't see anything in settings though, any suggestions as to how to do this?
Also been noticing that when using CoPilot the first half of the voice prompt is missed, almost like its taking half a second or so to engage with the bluetooth. Is this common with all wireless head sets or just the cheap "Clip" unit I'm currently using?

I can confirm that I also have this, the instruction will be played fully by the speakers on the phone but only get half the instruction (at times) via the Bluetooth Headset although sometimes you get the full instruction through it...
Not sure if helps... I realised the phone volume and media volume are separate! If you put the phone on silent - you can still listen to media such as music and videos. Maybe you could silence the phone (and get rid of that beep) but still enjoy your music.
Just an idea to try...
By the way - the above can be annoying if you need your phone quiet but accidentally turn on any media.... lol!
Ah well, I'd hoped it was the cheap head set but obviously not.
I searched around, but I didn't find an answer to this specific question. I have an HTC Evo, and a regular Bluetooth headset. I'd like to be able to play music/podcasts/whatnot through the headset.
It works great for phone calls, but once the call is over, it goes back to using the speaker. I'm assuming this has something to do with Bluetooth profiles since I was actually able to play music through Bluetooth in a car I rented a few weeks ago. I had to change the audio setting on the car, so it seems like the Evo can send audio through Bluetooth if it detects a certain profile (A2DP?).
Is there an app that allows me to choose to reroute my audio from the speaker to a regular bluetooth headset that only supports the headset and hands-free profiles? If not, I may need to see how feasible it would be for me to make one.
I have been searching in vane for Android software that would play regular audio through a regular bluetooth ear piece (that is normally used for a phone) rather than the external speaker or audio jack.
If anyone knows of such an animal, please let us know.
I realize what you're asking for, and I'm just going to tell you, odds are it's not going to happen. From what I've heard, the Bluetooth API's are fairly limited, and telling the system to use a BT Profile for something it wasn't meant for (and will sound horrible on, nevermind kill the battery life of your headset) won't be easy.
I'm not saying it's impossible, just not very likely to happen at this time. You'd probably be better off getting a decent pair of BT headphones instead. Sorry.
It won't work. Different protocols. If you get a bluetooth stereo headset that has a mic then it will work with both protocols.
This has been on the top of my list (along with a widget for enabling/disabling background data) since I got my Evo. I used this feature a lot on my Moto Q9C.
But I hadn't been able to find anything until now.
The audio quality isn't great but so far "Super BT Mono Froyo Free" is working well enough. I haven't disconnected my headset yet, so I don't know if it will reboot the phone. But the comments in the marketplace say to use a task killer if it happens.
I'm actually considering getting the full $6 version after the 5 days are up.
I just wish there was a way to make the call button function with the media player instead of starting the voice dialer.
Edit:
Have to change the media volume via settings or when the screen is off to increase music volume.
My jabra bluetooth headset allows this to happen but that bluetooth is meant to stream music through it also.

what about these: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Black-Motorola-S9-HD-S9HD-Wireless-Stereo-Headphone-/260631900070?pt=Bluetooth_Wireless_Products&hash=item3caedf2fa6
granted, they ship from Hong Kong so you're looking at a good 1-3 weeks for delivery (i got mine in about a week and a half)
But anyways, they work great for me. they answer calls, control track skipping, play/pause and volume. i love 'em.
App Work Around
I had the same issue with my headset. I went to the Android Market and searched. There are multiple apps out there. I got BTmono Free which allows you to play audio over your bluetooth if you pay for the $1 version you get more options. There are a few more other programs out there that do the same thing.
Good luck.
Thanks for the find Abini. d/l'd BTmono and it works like a champ for playing both music and for Netflix on my rooted EVO 2.2
Just wondering whether anyone else has connected their phone (I have a HD7) to a car kit or similar?
Here's my experience with Parrot Mki9100.
Using the parrot controls:
Most things work. Play and pause work, voice control works either by syncing your contacts to the parrot or by not syncing and then using the phones voice control.
For some reason if you pause the music you cant press play on the parrot kit again, you have to go back into the phone to press play.
Forward and back for tracks works, the skip forward and back doesnt.
Of course you can control from the phone however you want. I'm sad that the promised voice control of the zune interface didnt come through.
But the biggest problem is a slight crackle with the music. It's not a massive problem and I've not used any other devices so it might be that I'm expecting too much of bluetooth a2dp and i'm happy using it like this. But at certain types during songs which have lots of guitar going on you get a crackle.
I was trying to work out if it was the phone or parrot, so i've connected my phone to my laptop, playing music now and the same lovely crackle. Anyone else experienced the same?
Thanks and hope this was helpful to someone
I just connected mine to my car for A2DP as well (Samsung Focus). It streams music fine but my play/pause/skip controls don't work (they did on my WM 6.1 device). I also have the same issue of having to use the phone to resume after a call.
I get the slight distortion as well at HF (just from tweeters). I believe this is b/c A2DP includes compression in the protocol (its not full 20-20k bandwidth). Its only on a few songs for me and something I can live with.
I am experiencing the same thing. However, the bluetooth stack on wp7 is way...way better and works with parrot better than any of the previous wm versions.
I do believe I've found my answer in another thread, though I was hoping to double check before making a large purchase.
Within the next day or two I'll be buying a new car stereo. I've been using my phone as my GPS lately, but the GNex is so quiet that I can't hear it over my car when I am driving. I'm now looking for a stereo with Bluetooth built in (among other features), that will allow the Nav directions (as well as other notification sounds) to be played over the currently playing audio, regardless of what input the radio is on, and also have hands-free calling built in.
From another thread in the Desire S Q/A section here, it sounds that the stereo must support the A2DP profile for this to happen, correct? I keep an 80GB iPod classic in my car at all times, which is where I store all of my music for USB playback. I'm going to be listening to it 99% of the time in the car, and would like for the stereo to mute the iPod/USB input and play notification/direction sounds over the car speakers when one is played on the phone.
The necessary info -
Galaxy Nexus CDMA (Verizon, toro)
AOKP b36 (will be flashing franco m3 kernel in a few minutes)
Stereo I am actively considering - Kenwood KDC-BT752HD, can be found on Amazon (can't link due to my low post count)
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to waste $170.
Thanks!
If the radio supports stereo music streaming via Bluetooth it should work. Some radios only accept connections for telephone calls, then it will not work.

The radio needs to support A2DP and have functionality which switches to that sound source when incoming sound. I'm not sure that the stereo you linked have that functionality though.
/Edit: I guess it will be annoying with the radio switching to that source every time your phone makes any sound (unless it has some overlap channel function).
I was thinking about it as I was going to sleep last night lol, I think I am gonna buy it, but from my local Best Buy (despite my hatred for them) so I can return it if it doesn't do as it's expected to do.
Newegg is listing it as having "hands-free and audio streaming", Crutchfield specifically lists all of the Bluetooth profiles it supports, one of which IS A2DP. Trying to find it on Kenwood's site, but to no avail.
I think I'm gonna bite - gonna go run out and give it a shot.
Also, about it being annoying - I don't get too many notifications otherwise, lol. My girlfriend and I only really call, nobody else texts me often, I don't get too many emails. I think it should be fine ^_^
Thanks for the input, guys!
So, it's not working as expected. I installed the radio, it syncs to my phone under both HFP and A2DP, but notifications are only playing when the radio is on the BT Audio input, NOT under all inputs like I had been lead to believe. I've performed a FW update on the radio, can't find the Bluetooth update on their site.
Another thing I noticed though is that the radio is supposed to pick up and read my text messages, which it does not do. I wonder if the two have anything to do with each other.
Edit - apparently the GNex doesn't support the SMS BT profile?
I have a Verizon G3 but figure this forum gets more eyeballs, and perhaps this is a universal Bluetooth issue.
I use the LG Tone+ HBS-730 headset with my phone. If I go into a music app and start playing music through my headphones with the app, no problem. But, let's say I pause music for a while, or turn the headphones off for a bit. I turn the headphones back on, press the play button on the right side, and nothing happens. The headset is still on - I can long-press a button and get the double-beep, but my music won't play. Sometimes it does, but most of the time, it doesn't. I switched from the stock Music player to Rocket Player, which has proven to be a little more successful.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere, or is this a common BT occurrence? Control is through the AVRCP BT profile, I believe. I know on my G2 I'd sometimes lose control sync with my phone, where I couldn't skip or pause the track through my headphones. This new problem seems like a magnification of that problem.
Overall, I do find the BT performance a little worse than the G2. I get more audio drops when the phone is in my pocket, but this is when I'm outside and BT is not great outside in general.
Thanks everyone - I have five days to decide if I want to return this phone, between this and some signal problems.
bluetooth connects. calls ok. media plays on device.

I come from the philippines and i have the g3 also. my bluetooth connection was fine it connected to my car and headset but now it only receives calls but does not play music through my bluetooth headphones. when i press the play button on my headset it plays on the device itself. checked under bluetooth setting and call and media and audio was checked.
my device is rooted. i did a factory reset but the problem remains unfixed. please help. i have installed g3 tweaksbox but i dont see any mods that is related to music apps. i dont know what to do. i have considered unrooting and flashing stock rom.
Also interested in this, as I have the same issue but my car.
Op, did you ever find a fix, or work around?
OP
Do you have any other BT programs loaded? I had something similar when I had the Sony app and a Garmin app loaded. Both use BT to connect to their devices and they were interfering. I removed the Garmin one and my play/pause button started working again
