Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Thank You - ROM v2.4 installed and testing completed.
Update 16/12/2018: After using this ROM for two days I must admit it is quite a solid performer and love the following features:
Fingerprint to wake and unlock
Always on display - It is really useful!
Andriod Pie Features - just feels so fresh over touchwiz!
My phone never got hot for no reason.
The following issues were deal-breakers for me:
Front facing camera always crashed in the default camera app (the slowness of the rear fixed itself / The front facing works in 3rd party apps - Camera FV-5)
Sometimes the Bluetooth didn't work for calls (it was choppy), but was fixed by rebooting the phone.
Bluetooth Media playback was solid - however Spotify now doesn't allow me to skip songs in the car using the radio.
Battery Charging is slow (or does not charge) on 1A chargers. (My phone battery needs replacing so power saving / optimisations are important to me)
Apart from that I highly recommend this ROM it is pretty much all there!!! Thanks team! I will be back once the next version drops!

I flash the ROM and my bettery drain in 3 hours, now i go teste performance and baterry usage. My fist impression is a good ROM.

Installed but cant get the battery to charge. Otherwise all seems to be working well so far. Is there anything i can do about the charging issue? I dont want to have to change rom again ?

AOSP roms not support volte and never get volte support

Phone app issues.
First of all I really do like this ROM, and I appreciate your work. I switched from the unofficial Lineage OS ROM to this one to find myself in an "almost perfect" scenario, however after I got everything set up I found some issues in the phone app. There is no "block caller" feature. Also, I can make a call but can not hang up from a call because the ongoing call does not display, hence there is no speaker phone option or mute option to go with that. The other ROM that was based on 9.0 also had like a PIP feature for the phone app that showed in a similar fashion as the new feature in Maps when you have it minimized. This also seems to be missing.
The camera app is lacking as well, as with any AOSP Pie ROM. If we had a camera that is similar to the one that comes with the stock 8.1 ROM for the S7 that would be perfect.

Is this going to be updated with the latest los?

What bug are you getting for video playback? I haven't been having any issues. Volume down ± power is taking screenshots for me without issue. Traffic indicators as in displaying upload/download speed in status bar? That's a feature that needs to be ported to Android 11 builds, this is the first 11 build and is essentially just vanilla AOSP.

volume down shortcut working & as A11 custom rom in early stage(its alpha build) dont xpect much customisation at this time

Does this ROM have the option of setting 2 different Ring tones for 2 SIM Cards. Please advice

I am facing battery drain issues with this rom after flashing it , any tips.?

My review for the rom.
So i have been daily driving this rom and it have been great for first android 11 port.
But there are few fixable bugs which i think can be fixed easily.
Problems
The rounded edges are distorted.
The raise to wake feature turns the screen in the pocket.
Double tapping right on the Finger print sensor doesnt wakes the screen up.
Battery life is not good (not sure on it lol. But using this rom my phone went below 10% battery first time ever.)
And the final really irretating bug is the dolby sound. If chosen music preset the audio sometimes suddenly decrease and increase.
Idk if this happens on every stock rom but i have to hold the buttons for the screenshot just quicly tap used to work befor if i remember correctly.
Overall a great build. Great Work.

What do mean the rounded edges are distorted? They look the same for me as they did on any Android 10 rom. I just reflashed back from the Octo-whatever build but I get on average 36 hours per charge. Think the longest I've had was about 62 hours with this build. I also self host a handful of things because I don't run Gapps or micro-g, so that greatly helps with battery life.

it's just realme 5 with added nfc feature so you already know the answer

Okay so I tried this for a few days now, and I have to say this ROM is awesome and totally stable, hell I even installed first version of Google camera I found online and it works just fine, the very only one problem I have is the speaker sound is lower than the stock rom, also sometimes it have some little noise while playing some games like kshkshksh or something , and very few times it take 2 seconds before the sound work in that games, other than that it's awesome, face unlock also works very well, the speaker isn't that much of problem honestly, you can ignore it because it doesn't happen in videos and doesn't always happen in games
Something else, the recording app sometimes doesn't want to transcript the voice or Google photos won't backup saying the device is too hot while it's not, but it's rare so if anyone planning to use this ROM it's better than most realme 5 ROMs I tested, and thank you alot for your work

Camera Works Perfectly

i just try dirty flash method. and it bootloop. failed to boot to android. i come from pixelplus 10 with modded firmware & vendor.
now, i try to clean flash with newer pixelplus ui rom 2021/05/17.

Clean Flash Realme Ui

I have downloaded pixel plus ui verson 3.5 and install it properly.
I got some bugs.
1)It take about 6 hours to charge battery completely.
2)Volte not working properly,call gets disconnected in about 30sec.
But Volte works properly when mobile data is off.

Goto settings -> network & internet -> mobile network -> disable operator video calling

Did a clean flash!
wipe system, cache, vendor and data. But it bootloop. I am coming from Android 10 - RMX1925EX_11_C.67.

Please provide twrp 3.4.0 for realme 5 so we can flash .ozip files. Kindly help.

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about to try RevengeOS on my 8T. I have a question about flashing DFE & DmVerity. Am i forced to do it? I don't want to disable encryption and some ppl reporting in forums, after flashing DmVerity the smartphone ends in bootloop. So I'm a bit worried to brick my phone.
Is every custom recovery compatible to this ROM? Are there any compatibility issues along the different versions of TWRP or OrangeFox? I've read in another ROM thread, that there are some issues from version to version ending in bootloop.

it's the opposite, bootloops are more likely to happen if you don't flash it especially with A11

My last smartphone I've flashed was the Cubot X18 with Android 6. Xiaomi and Android 11 sounds a little bit more complicated of things I should taking care. I will collect every information which are relevant to success the flashing procedure

I understand why I should flash A11 FW, but let me explain what I am confused about:
I'm running MIUI 12.0.3 (A10) GLOBAL
The A11 FW is MIUI 12.0.2 EU
Why has the lower version the higher FW (A11)?
Can I flash the A11 FW for my 8T Willow even A11 is not official out for this smartphone?

You can use the OTA System update located in "Settings/System". It's hassle-free.

Hay there !,
If you are using a realme ui vendor (C.xx) based ROM or an OSS vendor ROM or you are already in stock Realme UI then follow below steps to flash oss/custom vendor ROMs:
- Wipe 5 (system, dalvik, cache, vendor, data)
- Flash ROM
- Flash vbmeta-disabler (No need to flash if you flashed vbmeta disabler while flashing stock rom or you are coming from another oss based rom)
- Flash Magisk (optional)
- Reboot
Format data if doesn't boot
If you are using COS(A.xx) vendor based ROM or stock COS Rom then follow below steps to flash oss/custom vendor based ROMs:
- Wipe 5 (system, dalvik, cache, vendor, data)
- Flash Firmware zip
- Flash ROM
- Flash vbmeta-disabler
- Flash Magisk (optional)
For 5i users only :
• Flash any A10 recovery
- Reboot

Wipe dalvik, cache, vendor, system, data and internal storage. Try to clean flash A10 based rom like nusantra and boot into it to check storage if ok or not. if ok, then wipe dalvik, cache, vendor, system, data except internal storage and flash elixir. It may help.

okay, so it's worked, camera fixed, storage showing up but the fp option is still missing from the security settings.

you have to flash fp fix for r5i.

okay it's fixed now.
Settings > Realme Settings changing, the performance profile from Balanced to any other causes it to crash. it also crashes if you try to open it from the status bar sometimes, while it does goes to Realme Settings but then you face the issue mentioned above.
Game optimization shows not available for PUBGM and CODM (both on global version)
Google crashed frequently if using voice assistant

performance profile changing settings are still buggy, you can use a custom kernel as your needs.

okay got that and what about game optimization and google?

also it shows battery 50% after reboot for 30 seconds, then goes back to normal. bascially it has almost all of the issues that other custom roms do.

i have problem with 1.6, it keep on offline when i change to mobile data
already do clean flash by Wipe dalvik, cache, vendor, system, data and internal storage...but still problem

that was DT issue and it's fixed already and will be pushed with next month update.

signal lost again and again in realme 5
