In Magisk when I run the SafetyNet test, I get this error.
Is there an easy way to fix it?
I was thinking of flashing the ROM back to stock, but wanted to see if there was an easier way before going that route.

I guess this says it all...
but it was not easy to reach this point, it took a lot of tweaks along the way, it was not the usual clean boot to recovery, patch boot, reboot and be done with it.
Because when I first did that it was still showing up as "Attestation failed"
so, I had to try again this time I cleared cache and stuff, then try again, to finally get the correct results.

No, so far there has been no software that complains about having Magisk installed.
I usually just end up not using said software instead.
Titanium Backup and Magisk are my #1 must haves in any new phone.
Anyway, as per my reply above, the latest version of the Manager seems to have took care of the issue.
Magisk I updated to the latest 23.0 and still failed to pass the verification
@iSkyJIE Try this:
- Disable all modules
- Reboot
- See if safety net passes and Magisk hide is working ( it should pass now)
-Enable modules one by one and reboot in between, check safety net.
This way try to figure out which module makes safety net fail. And use google to fix your problem...
Worked for me, Edxposed was my module which make safety net fail, I had to blacklist/ hide play store in Edxposed.

thank you! Yes, it's also the EdXposed module problem! I'll just delete it! Now change to LSposed.
According to the root instructions, I have always had the same issue. It may be due to the temporary boot of the patched boot file.
After I flashed the magisk patched boot file (instead of temporary booting), I passed safety net without any issues.
Just tried again, as I had to send my last phone back - and confirmed again.
Just for information, it saves a lot of time.

So, I went to sleep with my phone on 75% charge and woke up to it on 25%, looked on battery stats and "Android OS" had drained it all. i've noticed this android OS using a lot of battery for quite a while now, but never this much.
anyone knows how to fix this or why this happens?

which stock ROM you've flashed? or you just flashed a custom kernel for 7.1.1??
I tried disabling Magisk Hide in 13.3 but everytime i closed and reopened the app, it was turned on.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled a 13.0 beta. but now I have worse battery drain regardless of what the Magisk Hide option is.
Anyone else have the Magisk Hide option not saving in 13.3?

It's a bug in the toggle button itself, but MagiskHide remains disabled if you previously turned it off (as you can check SafetyNet and it will fail even with the button placed at the "on" button). Probably MagiskManager forgot to check MagiskHide status when you open it and assumes it's on, thus displaying the toggle as if it were on.
Hello,
Problem is, after flashing stock 8.1 image (latest), installed Magisk (used boot twrp for this, recovery is stock), setting up the device, backup ACCOUNT is GREYED OUT(photo attached).

The account is the only one and main, google drive backup is set up, also photos, also in google accounts.
Nothing helps.
Magisk might not be a culprit here, but I dunno.
Really need at least one backup of all my settings, apps, etc.
Please help me out. Maybe someone has a similar problem.
Thanks.

Two things,
1. Install drive
2. Make sure drive storage is not full.
Okay well 3 things.. Reboot
Not guaranteed to work just something to try

Doubt that twrp has anything to do with google backup.
Thanks for your input.
Extra info: Magisk passes SafetyNet's both factors with flying colours. Out of ideas here.

I'm not using custom kernel.
Just really strange.
Thing is: when you reflash stock 8.1, after restoring, while android setups, etc., you can actually BACKUP to google account no problem.
After flashing Magisk, it's just greyed out.
Not sure if Magisk is the culprit, but dunno what else.
Yes, unlocked bootloader maybe interferes with the Safety check, but Magisk passes both factors of SafetyNet everytime.
Well, xposed is now compatible for emui 8.0, I only inform people who may not know it and enter the thread looking for it .
Tested and all ok.

Download the apk of xposed installer, and download the .zip that is in this post. You just have to flash the .zip through TWRP, do cache and dalvik wipes and you're done, you just have to restart
The first boot takes about 10 -15 minutes to start

Got some problems; In xposed framework there is in RED next warning:
There seems to be a known issu("resources subclass") with your ROM. Installing Xposed might not work or lead to severe probems.
Xposed is not(yet) compatible with Andorid SDK version 26 or your processor architecture (arm64 -v8a).
Any workaround possible, or just wait till xposed is compatible?
Nice work BTW

we have the same problem but i just uninstall the xposed apk and replace it with this one. here's the link.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-systemless-xposed-t3388268
just look for the XposedInstaller_3.1.5-Magisk.apk
Features:
- Install magisk manager
- Patch boot.img automatically(without boot.img)
- No boot.img needed, bootloader unlocked needed
- Support Windows(no linux, no macOS)
How to:
1. Download from Gdrive
2. Connect your 7T/Pro to your PC with usb cable
3. Double Click to run this tool
4. Just wait for 30 secs and your phone will reboot to system with magisk installed
Tips:
- For 7T、7Tpro and McLaren included
- For OyxgenOS and HydrogenOS, all versions
- Magisk 20.4 built-in
- For Chinese users, the full version is in my website: {Mod edit}

Of course you need to use this tool again after upgrade。
But this tool is not version related。It works for all versions include future versions without update itself。

Lposed + HideMyApplist + Zygisk works "against" ANY banking or 2nd factor verification app.
If you're using a adblocker, check this as well. My banking app didn't work because it's using some google advertising urls, which my adblocker blocked.
I added some exceptions and it started to work again.
