I have been trying to root my htc one v. I did the following:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token Copied the identifier token, and pasted it on My Device Identifier Token on HTCDev.com I downloaded and save the Unlock_code.bin in the root folder in my PC that is sent to my mail from HTC.com and finally run this: "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin"
but still Unlock Bootloader is not displayed on my mobile screen. so can someone plz tell me why does the Unlock Bootloader is not displayed on my mobile screen. I check the cable and it works fine, and has properly installed the driver but still no Unlock Bootloader window popups to click yes to root it.

I am trying to fix the same issues with Verizon Wireless as well as I have tried the methods that are on here and still having issues
Please tell us what OS are you using, fastboot version.
Have you tried "fastboot devices" prior to launch the final unlock command? Maybe your PC to Phone connection was not ready, or you were in the Bootloader (you have to choose FASTBOOT from the Phone bootloader).
Another good thing to do would be to make sure that, within your Phone's Android, you have disabled the Fast Boot option. Phone-> Settings -> Power -> Fast Boot -> Unchecked
So if I want to unlock the bootloader on day 1, I just have to boot into fastboot mode, plug into my computer, start adb, and then run "fastboot oem unlock"? I've never had a nexus before so I'm not sure if this is the right procedure.
Not quite. Previously this would have been the case but now you have to boot the phone first. You can skip all of the configuration stuff because all you need to do is get into Developer Settings and flip the Enable OEM Unlock toggle. Then you can reboot into bootloader and run fastboot oem unlock. This is of course assuming that you have the correct drivers in Windows or the correct package in Linux.
Guys unlocking Moto G5 Plus Bootloader is quite easy.
Just download ADB and Moto Drivers.
Visit Moto Bootloader unlock website by clicking here
Now enable USB Debugging and Allow OEM unlock by going in Developer options.
Then reboot to fastboot by turning off your phone and then pressing Volume Down and Power Key together
Connect phone and in command window type fastboot oem get_unlock_data
Then copy the code and use Moto Scrub tool at Step 5.
Paste the code obtained above in Step 6 on Moto Website.
Click on I agree and then on get unlock code.
You shall receive a unlock key.
Now type fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE_KEY
twice.
Congrats you have successfully unlocked your bootloader.

Hello,
I'm planning to buy this device, specifically the XT1684 or XT1685 variant. Are these specfic variants supported and are there any culprits I should be aware of? For example, is there a possibility of me being locked out like with LG's G/V series devices? Or is the bootloader unlock procedure completely smooth?
thanks for the guide. I have just unlocked it.
Any guide to root it?

Can't say for sure since I don't own the device, but I guess flashing the SuperSU zip in TWRP will do (when the TWRP for this device releases, that is).
as usually unlock bootloader void the warranty, right???

You have to talk to Motorola... There is nothing we can do to help this.
Will they help to unlock bootloader?

There is a thread specific to this here... Seems there was a glitch and Moto was issuing codes for a few days until it was caught and fixed.
The instructions worked for me, allowing to unlock the bootloader. Device was a reconditioned moto g5 plus (XT1685) bought from amazon (not an "amazon exclusive", the international version).
Invalid Boot State
fastboot.exe oem unlock 7JNIQIPPF4VEIRPLWARE
...
(bootloader) invalid boot state
OKAY [ 0.004s]
finished. total time: 0.004s
please resolve.

Fastboot is not working on my G5 Plus
The adb devices show my device before reboot:
C:\Windows\system32>adb devices
List of devices attached
0036349461 device
But when I execute the command "adb reboot bootloader" my mobile restart on fastboot mode and after it the commands like "fastboot devices" or "fastboot oem get_unlock_data" doesn't response...
So... I have been stuck with a HTC One E9+ for many months with a lock screen that I literally can't unlock, and flashed TWRP but can't be used because of locked bootloader, I had finally discovered a way to get the unlock token. Here's a little bit of story. I tried to run 'fastboot oem get_identifier_token' in bootloader mode, but the phone returned unknown command. I had tried that when everything was normal. I had check the settings in developer options, and there is nothing related to unlocking bootloader inside there. Until recently, I had discovered 'fastboot oem rebootRUU' from other blog post.
All in all, if you couldn't get the bootloader unlock token in bootloader mode, try to get it in RUU mode.
Good luck!
Hi, i tried to run the command "fastboot oem rebootRUU" but no code appeared.
Ive follow the unlock method on xda for unlocking realme x bootloader... but when i tried to flash the powerd shell comment "fastboot flashing unlock" command the phone get out form fastboot mode and says press any button to reboot and the powerdshell showing ""Comment writing failed"
but the indepth test showing application showing submitted successfully.....!!!!
my fon is 6/64 with chines rom RMX1901_11_A.21
Use cmd prompt instead of powershell. Try other bootloader unlocking commands, I don't remember which worked for me, Google search it
maybe use cmd amd don't forget to turn on "enable oem unlock" in the developer options
