Hello to everyone
What do you think of the vibration strenght of the Poco F3?
I switched from the Galaxy Note 8 to this device, and the vibration is simply "outrageous."
I don't feel anything when the phone rings and the notification comes in. I could feel it on my feet when the Note 8 was on the table. I don't even hear the vibration when the Poco F3 is on the table.

Try Settings - Sound and vibration - turn on Touch feedback and adjust the intensity of vibration from the bar will became visible.
haptic feedback seems very weak and i have it maxed out in the settings.im on 12.0.3 global and waiting for bootloader to unlock.
i read somewhere xiaomi may have used a weak haptic motor to save on cost.

This setting is just a touch feedback setting. I'm afraid it has no effect on notifications and ringtones.

whilst I was on global rom the haptics were much stronger than on xiaomi.eu 12.5. i think this is software and hardware issue combined.
the thing is - software part can be improved. lets keep raising it
Looking at the size of the vibration motor shown in the disassembly videos i think it's simply too small for the size of the phone, no update or OS can solve that. Linear vibrators are less space efficient than the classic ones, that's the price you pay for haptic feedback. Apple removed the headphone jack to make space for a bigger linear vibrator , that vibrator was bigger that the one inside this Poco and was installed on a lighter phone
Has anyone brought this issue to Poco's attention in the Poco Community forum?
Hi Everyone !
So i'm using the official ROM, and only Unlocked the bootloader and Rooted the phone.
So i noticed something very interesting regarding vibration.
When you go to the tests of the device and you test vibration, the vibration strength is very good and nothing compared to incoming phone calls.
But when i have an incoming phone call it is indeed very very weak. For messages, a little better but still not perfect.
It should be a way using ADB/Patch/Using an app, to define the strength of the vibration used, because the real guilty is not the vibration motor, but more the ROM that does not give "Power" .
If this information may help anyone to dig further and then fix this it would be awesome.
BTW, i noticed that i have a small lag displaying the incoming call notification (5 seconds) vibrates but displaying the incoming caller information takes a small while.
If anyone encountered that and knows also a fix i will appreciate
Thanks to all

Have you also noticed that the vibration feels different from MIUI vs Vanilla Android Custom ROMs? Or if you set a Custom Vibration Time in Gboard? I think Xiaomi has done vibration tweaking on MIUI for default Vibration time
Haptics are way too weak on Poco F3. Very disappointed. Mi 10 / 10T Pro / Mi 11 gives a much stronger and nicer haptic response when using the keyboard. The same with OnePlus Nord 2. Increasing the haptic response in MIUI settings makes no noticeable difference IMO. Increasing the haptic response in google keyboard make a difference but the response when typing feels weird when doing that. Weak haptics are almost a dealbreaker for me.
Any news on this ?

Haptics are much stronger on AOSP. You should try ArrowOS. You'll immediately feel the difference, very strong.

anyone know way to increase vibrate intensity? its pretty low and I never even notice it
*bump* I would like to know as well. Soft keys are pretty useless when you don't even know if you've touched them or not. Vibration really needs to be increased.
bump +1. I would also like to know this, and have been searching without any luck so far.
I do agree, the Sensation had great vibration, when playing games like 'Fruit Slice' the vibration really added to the game play, when you hit a bomb!
hmmm, mines the opposite. swap?
I have the same problem the first day i got my X. The vibration is very weak when in vibration mode. In coming sms is only very 2 short vibration can not get notice compare with my HD2. Anyway can change some figure to increase it?
I have one App run on it and when it vibrate it pretty strong, so must some place can adjust.
Thanks for anyone can help

I agree. It is pretty ineffective for incoming sms.

Mine really suffers from incredibly weak vibration when the capacitive buttons are pressed, sometimes it doesn't even vibrate, only making a faint sound.
But when a call is incoming, it's strong again, anyone have any ideas? Hardware fault?

Finally I have some temporarily solution to share with you all to solve the weak vibration issue for One X.
I did not find a way to change system value in some files and even find this way it may not useful for the One X which is not rooted.
So I tried different APPs in goolge play store, and here is the most 3 top APPs(all are free) I think can change vibration pattern:
1. Vibrate tools -

it is very small APP and it is simple. You can easily create your new vibration pattern just by tapping different times to control each time how long it will vibrate and how many times it vibrate also between each vibrate the waiting time. The pattern created can be assigned as default SMS vibrate setting. You do not need to change any setting in system. One thing you shall be aware that even this APP shall run itself every time you reboot phone, but I found it did not run automatically. So if you do reboot you may need to run it once. This APP may not increase the intensity but by prolong the vibrate time for each and make 4,5 vibrate in a sequence is far more better than default 2 short vibrates in One X. This is the one I use now.
2- SMS Popup
It is a very good APP. You can adjust the vibrate pattern in its setting menu freely(by put different figures). And it do much more things for you to enhance the SMS notification, like repeatable notice, wake up screen and so on. It is very good SMS application some of you may find its usage not only just to change vibrate pattern.
Use SMS Popup you need to turn off the system SMS notification, otherwise you receive 2 times notification.
I did not use it after some testing, since I found from time to time the APP in memory will be killed and not running any more. So you will not get any vibration for incoming SMS since you have already turn off the system level notification as well. I do not know is it only my phone problem or it is not compatible with One X .
3- Ringo: Ringtones & Text Tones
This is a good and complex APP as well. It can adjust the vibrate pattern using its pre-defined 5 levels.(you can not create your own pattern like another 2 APP above). But it has different other usage for notification.
You can play with it to see how it is suitable or not. I do not use it since I want a simple tool not eat memory too much and also I do not like its 5 level pattern.
Hope all this will help your guy. And feel free to try in Google play shop to find others which may good and share with us. I tried another 5-6 APPs but not as good as the above 3 ones.
The weak vibration was only a soft key issue in my case. Vibration was strong during all other areas except when you used to soft key buttons. One of the few reasons I went back to the GS II.
All I really wanted from the speaker update was a tone when text messages arrive. Shouldn't it use the ringtone volume?
I assumed this would be an obvious use of the speaker. Can anyone explain to me why this does not work and if there are any work arounds. I've tried the native Samsung Note 5 native messaging app, hangouts, google messenger and Verizon messenger+. Yes I checked and sound is on and volumes are turned up (media volume, ring volume and watch ringtone). Thanks
agreed 100%...would love to have sound on notifications.

Now for Notifications....can't seem to get it to work. I assume the "Notifications - All" setting should do the trick but no luck. Any thoughts?

I wasn't able to get LightFlow to give notification sounds either on the watch. I agree too, that's the use of the speaker I was most looking forward to. I'm sure a developer will make something that runs on the watch & will play a notification sounds when it intercepts a notification coming through.

I don't think LightFlow has any control over sound notification, only vibration notification. At least that's all I see in the Play Store description:
Code:
Light flow allows you to take control of the notifications on your device.
It's main features are:
- Controlling the notification LED for phones that have them (cycling colors through outstanding notifications)
- Sound control, including repeating sounds
- Vibration control, including custom vibration patterns and repeating vibrations
[B]- Android wear vibration support[/B]
- Sleep times
- Lock screen based notifications (on phones that support live wallpapers on lock screens)
- Contact specific notifications for certain notification types

Now on Google Play, as "Smart Wear Notification".
Works like a charm. With sound notification and/or reading text. May work with many apps though I only have tried it with the standard android message apps.
Finally getting what Android Wear should have provided from the beginning along its sound notification for calls.
so if I read all these correctly.. the naitive huawei sounds are for Calls and Alarms only? Notifications make no audible sound ? I just got my watch today and I know when I went into the sound volumes, they are all turned up and I could hear sounds.. but when I get an Android Messages SMS or Hangouts message.. the watch only vibrates.. and doesn't play a sound..
Thanks!
Right now I am using this app..

Seems to work pretty well. not sure if I want to pay yet or not.. but now all my notifications have sounds!
EDIT: PROBLEM FIXED WITH SOFTWARE UPDATE. THANK YOU SAMSUNG.
I have touch screen issues when playing games like PUBG, AxE, basically any game which uses a movement stick. I drag the stick to keep moving and suddenly it stops registering my finger so I have to drag it again to keep my char moving... Or stick starts going wrong direction and I have to readjust everytime. I have seen others reporting the same problem.
It's worth mentioning that ss soon as I bought the phone I found a 166MB OTA update which said in it's description "Fix touch panel issues" so I installed it but the issue still persists. Atleast it seems like Samsung knows about this.
Anyone else got this issue?
My phone model is A705FN/DS
A70 touch problem
Same issue here with me, when i used antutu to test touch problem appears with multi touch only.
yes. terrible on pubg, cannot aim to shoot as before. also typing very slowly to get correct typing
I did not see any OTA updates yet.
I have similar issues, unfortunately:
Whenever I touch the edge of the screen too much any touch on the main part of the screen does not get registered.
This typically happens when holding the phone with one hand and for instance trying to tap the home button (circle on bottom mittle).
This makes using the phone difficult with one hand.
Also, sometimes touches get captured too easily/quickly. This causes action to I did not intend.
Besides touch issues it seems there are various bugs making the phone annoying to use. Some are fixed with a reboot, some crop up randomly.
- I use text to speech a lot, using Voice aloud reader. when I skip to the next sencence the audio level is reduced noticabl and volume up/down controls call volume instead of media volume.
- Unlocking seems inconsistent. Sometimes my settings to remember unlock for some time are remembered sometimes it asks for fingerprint or pin very quickly. It seems some changes made in the settings might not be applied correctly sometimes, but I find it hard to test/reproduce.
- The fingerprint scanner is very inconsistent, sometimes it works mostly, at others it does not register the finger even with many tries.
Maybe in the future I can describe those issues more accuratly and reproducable.
Does anyone have similar issues?

Samsung A70 touch issue
I face touch issues in my Samsung Galaxy A70. Joystick goes back and halts in middle without sensing my finger on it. This needs to be reported to Samsung. Any idea what is the efficient way to report?
I don't have this problem anymore. It became less and less frequent and it finally disappeared. I did nothing, just using the phone everyday, with occasional restarts
EDIT: PROBLEM IS BACK
there's a solution that worked with my friend
1 - go to the game launcher and choose performance and change the frame rate to 30
2- make pubg control sensitivity high ( from the game settings )
3- take care about side touches and accidental touches

It's Fixed for me :fingers-crossed:
I bought a S20 Ultra last week which had gap near volume buttons and camera, and the earpiece speaker buzzed/produced tinny audio on certain notes like Piano or when playing ios opening ringtone. However, on a video call I noticed both the speakers producing bozz/tinny audio at certain points (with the bottom speaker providing less buzz than the top one), now I have a replacement S20 Ultra and this one also have the same problem, both speaker buzzes on video/phone calls at certain notes, and the top speaker buzzing/producing tinny sound during piano sound/ios opening ringtone. Turning off dolby atmos and using a custom equalizer improves the quality from earpiece speaker but the loudness is reduced too. I saw that many other people on Samsung Community complained about tinny and bad sound quality from s20 series. It is not even like S10+. Does anyone elese have the buzz/tinny sound too or simply said, is it better to wait for a software update which can possibly fix it or go for a third replacement device ?

i had this issue at the begining but sound is ok now, can you try to wipe data cache ?
I tried clearing cache but it didnt make much of a difference. There is still buzzing/tinny sound from earpiece speaker and also sometimes from the bottom speaker during phone calls or piano notes etc. (Involving bass). However when I play a flat music the sound from both the speakers are loud, crisp and clear. Idk whats wrong.. some people on samsung community forums said that the firmware ATFG have this fixed but its still not available in my country to test it out. Even the firmware which you are on is not available here yet.

✓ Energy Ring can hide on fullscreen content (apps, videos, images, games etc)
✓ Energy Ring can be configured to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level
✓ Energy Ring could have a mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device
All that is cool! But what about Energy Ring consuming Battery?!
This is one of the most exciting question for me to answer. Energy Ring more than anything understands that you need to utilize your battery efficiently (after all, that's why you installed the App, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen silently putting almost 0% load on CPU, if battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring quickly updates itself and goes back to sleep. And to be that extra efficient, the Ring goes on deep sleep when you turn off the screen, meaning it doesn't even read changes in battery level when the screen is off.
Accessibility Service Requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to run as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read/monitor any data, whatsoever. This is especially useful for people who have disability to read numbers and work better with visual data.
Download now from Google Play Store! And if you like, please leave a rating.
Please note that, the version you download from Play Store must be ER_GEN_2.5 or above for OnePlus Nord. If you don't see the latest version on Play Store, clear the cache of the Play Store App and check again.
Also, I would appreciate if someone posts some good photos of Energy Ring on OnePlus Nord (not screenshot, but a photo with another phone/camera.)
Just installed it and it works perfectly on my NORD.
One question, how about the burn-in effect?

Glad that know it works great on your phone, possible to attach some pics (not screenshots) of it?
Regarding burn-ins, as the Play Store description says,
Screen burn-in:
The original variant of the App, Energy Bar has been used over several years by users on their AMOLED devices, there has been no complains. But there is no claim that it may not happen.

Thanks for the quick reply.
One question: When i lock the phone and then go back to the lockscreen the ring disapears for a short time (0.2s) and comes back again. Is that normal (like it gets new informations about the battery status) or is that a bug?
Edit: When i unlock the phone directly with fingerprint, the ring need a short time (0.2s) to appear.

It's normal as one other user pointed out.
The reason for it is well, Energy Ring completely sleeps that includes vanishing from the screen, the only thing active would be screen on/off listener. So when it gets ON, it almost reconfigure everything, it was kind of required during initial development of its parent App - Energy Bar.
I think I can get it to stay as it is without any adverse effect, expect it to be smoother in future updates.
Hello thanks for your work, but on my OP Nord is not working i dont know why, when i unlock the screen the screen shows but nothing more.

You're welcome!
Regarding the issue, you mean, you were able to configure and see Energy Ring, but when you lock and unlock the phone it vanishes? It doesn't appear on the Lockscreen or it doesn't appear anywhere at all after you lock and unlock?
Just couldn't find the app. Cleared the play store data and all but it just isn't showing up & also checked all the apps by the Dev i.e; @jagan2 but the one you mentioned isn't on play store.

Hi! What happens when you directly click the link in the first post? That should certainly take you to the App's listing on Play Store?
Nice job! See attachments

This can be also work for notch if u include v shape n u shape noutch with x n y potions with size control.
Please include this.
There's a slight bug if face unlock is enabled
The ring is hidden with a tiny streak visible
Then it works properly when the face scan completes or fails to find a face
The app stops working after the battery saver is turned on. When I tried to turn it on, it took me to the accessibility settings where it was already on.
Stopped Working after some time
Initially it started but when I fully charged the phone it stopped and when I try to enable it, it takes me to accessibility services where it is already ON.
Please sort this out as I was loving it.
Works fine for me, thanks.
Working great! Any ideas how to disable the persistent Android-System notification, that "warns" me that energy ring is displayed above other apps on my OnePlus Nord?
Couldn't get this working until I went into Accessibility settings and enabled it -- working fine now!
This is honestly really great. I like the ease of use and customisation options. I hope it doesn't drain too much and I'll get back on that.
