I bricked my POCO F3 Global while converting it into Redmi K40 after BL unlocking - I have tried everything - did whatever it takes to bring it back to life - but for me, nothing works.
I need experts advice, I would really appreciate if you could do something to fix this phone. (After trying whatever it takes, I came to a conclusion, while flashing it via Mi-Flash-Tool it says that it requires an Xiaomi Authorized Account to flash it to life, and it is hard to have one, probably)
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

What exact steps did resulted into this? Is bootloader not accessible? I also have global version of POCO F3 and I also did the same to convert to Chinese version from global version, but flash tools gave me multiple errors. And didn't let me Flash the ROM.
But soon when I rebooted the phone it got stuck in Fastboot screen. Later on I flashed TWRP Recovery and Flashed CrDroid which booted up the phone, But due to some bugs and personal preferences I switched to Xiaomi.eu 12.5 stable.
What rom did you had before bricking your device?

I am having a black screen, and nothing but just my PC can detect it but in Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 mode, I was flashing it as I have told, it was on Fastboot Screen but after giving it a restart, it didn't show any sign of light, and now my life is in darkness, but after a research I have found out that I am lost somewhere is EDL mode which is not easily flashable without a Mi Authorized Account as shown in the attached picture.

Hold volume - and power for 15sec. If fastboot pop-up, Flash the original rom and select clean all
I wonder how you managed to do that because i was on stock EEA variant and i unlocked bootloader and flashed xiaomi EU 12.5.2 without issues.
If you cannot acces bootloader your only chance is EDL authorized account , which you have to pay someone who has one.

I think you are right, an EDL authorised account must be needed.
you can use qfil and an approperiate flashable rom,not sure where you can get the qfil rom from but qfil itself is easily downloadable.
edit:actually with qfil you can flash the boot partition only and then you should be able to have a working fastboot again.i think.

I am gonna try it tonight. Thank you, I'll report you back.
Now i undersand what you did: you used mi flash to flash stock redmi k40 12.5.2 rom on a stock unlocked Poco F3 Global and you had lock option thicked. That obviously did the trick by bricking your device. You did not searched for the right info on what you need to do.

Not really sure but what happen is that something in that path (that's trying to access is wrong). Next time click on details (so we can see the call stack). Try to run it as administrator and extract the mi flash to a "shorter" path: "C:/Miflash"
At this point I think you want to try anything so...

Before flashing with mi flash tool I was using AEX 4.6 and then i tried this flashing and when i was having problem with Volte then I flashed the original firmware (marshmallow) using QFIL)Volte was working then I flash AEX 4.6 but then also Volte was not working. I don't know why that strange behavior was there with Volte because I have flashed tons of rom before and I know all the procedure that how to flash a custom rom. So i think there was some problem with the package which is provided for flagging with mi tool because the flashing was done using EDL method. But my Volte is again working fine because someone provide the solution on AEX 4.6 discussion.
When I click on Reboot EDL , my device just reboots to system. How does the EDL mode looks like? Is it like fastboot mode? Why is my device booting into system again. I followed all the steps provided, am i missing somthing
Phone isn't booting into edl mode... Instead of that phone is rebooting.
I had the same problem

Hello folks,
I bought a brandnew Mi Max 3 via Singapore. Unfortunately it was delivered with the chinese ROM version (now updated to Miui 10 CN).
Is there any step by step manual to flash my original phone to the Miui 10 global stable version. I need to use the german language and the google playstore
As far as I now global verion of Miui 10 is rolled out for the Mi Max 3.
Thanx for your help, friends.
MimaxXolli
Pretty sure you going to have use TWRP it other after unlocking.
In the same boat now, mine updated to 10 overnight Grrr. Got about 5 days to wait for the BL unlock now
I also have table China 10.0.3.0 and I want to unlock bootloader and install some global multilanguage rom. Which one should I install? Any link? I read about anti rollback and don't want to crash my phone.

Easy steps. Make sure the rom you are flashing to is the same or higher version
Twrp is not required
Save your files as unlocking bootloader will wipe device
Put your device in fastboot mode
Unlock bootloader, very important
Put your device in fastboot mode again
Download fastboot file https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-3/how-to/rom-official-recovery-fastboot-roms-mi-t3827503
Extract all files until you see the img files
Open miflash tool https://c.mi.com/thread-1220989-1-0.html
Put the path of the img files in there and click refresh
Select clean all and flash
Yes but which rom I have to install. Can you give me some links?

Well!
It is relatively easy to convert from official China rom to official Global rom on my China Mi Max 3 via the Miflash Tool Beta, which I bought my set from Shenzhen, China back in July 2018.

After 19-Oct-2018 (Global MIUI 10.0.1.0):
Be careful with the mi flash tool. Select clean all, not any other option. Or else your bootloader will be relocked and you will get a brick.
I did encounter a problem during the 1st flashing process with the Beta Tool. "Remote : cannot read command" at the end of flahing
What I did was reinstalled all drivers using the latest miflash tool. Reboot pc, and then I used back the Beta Tool again to flash. Bingo!
FYI, all versions of official miflash tools don't work on my Windows 10 pc stating that "Length cannot be less than zero"!

Hi Guys,
Is there any update on the Global ROM of Xiaomi Pad 5 yet?
It is known that the global version of the tablet is being delivered at retail shops.
Bootloader Unlock has been done well so far, just waiting for the Global ROM.
Here are the reasons I must wait for the Global ROM:
1. Sogou Keyboard does not support well my local texts, especially with the physical keyboards (which I have already purchased thru shopee ~100USD ).
2. Sogou Keyboard automatically reverts back "default" keyboard after reboot even Gboard had been set to Default keyboard.
3. Bloatware, Fonts are horrible
4. No NEARBY SHARE found on the current China ROM 12.5.9.
Thank you!
--------------- Update Oct 13 2021 --------------------
You can flash the Global ROM now, it is available finally!
Do make sure:
1. You have completely unlocked your Xiaomi Pad 5 (bind Mi Account and wait 168hrs), enter Pad 5 to fastboot mode, connect Pad 5 to PC, run Unlock Tool on PC to check Pad 5 is successfully unlocked, it should state "Unlocked" with your device ID.
2. Choose "Clear All" option in XiaoMi Flash Tool to make sure that you will have a brand new ROM on the Device. Remember enter the right Directory Path to ROM folder.
3. There is an error at the end (something like your miss abc file...), that says your have successfully installed the Global ROM to your China Pad 5.

You should try with another PC/Laptop.
Make sure you have installed Xiaomi/Android Drivers, Enable Debugging Mode.
Check your USB port, Open the Xiaomi Unlock to check if your PC recognizes the Xiaomi Device when it is in fastboot mode.
Here's a mistake.

You can flash the Global ROM now, it is available finally!
Do make sure:
1. You have completely unlocked your Xiaomi Pad 5, enter fastboot mode, connect to PC, run Unlock Tool to check, it should state "Unlocked" with your device ID.
2. Choose "Clear All" option in XiaoMi Flash Tool to make sure that you will have a brand new ROM on the Device.
3. There is an error at the end (something like your miss abc file...), that says your have successfully installed the Global ROM to your China Pad 5.

Sweet, my tablet arrived today, so I will give this a shot tonight or tomorrow.
Dear Community
I have a major issue with my OnePlus 9 Pro:
I had Nameless AOSP 13 installed and rooted.
I then tried to revert back to original OOS 13 using Advanced Fastboot and the original payload.bin.
But when I flashed the payload, I got stuck on the Qualcomm Crashdump Mode with no information and also no recovery mode.

So tutorials like these:
Simply don't work, since I don't have the menu to select fastboot / recovery, etc.
Of course I also tried MSMTool but that always fails at "Param preload failed" and I can't seem to fix it.
What can I do now?
Edit: This was also posted on the official OnePlus Forum because it's really urgent.

IMPORTANT:I seem to have fixed the problem:I basically had the wrong drivers installed, even though I downloaded them from oneplus for this exact phone.
I was able to fix the issue by installing the drivers via Windows Update. They will appear in the optional updates but that worked for me just fine.

So basically MSM says "Param preload failed" and I tried different USB Cables, etc.

It's not about the firmware that has been flashed onto the 9p, but for which region it is made (do you still have the box from the cell phone? When you have the box from this phone look on the box is this a eu or india model )

With a Stock ROM you will need to root the phone and use Magisk modules for the device to be certified.
what purpose does it serve?

If the play store is not certified, no Netflix, etc. and the banking apps do not work.
This is due to the unlocked bootloader on a stock rom.
ok I am now on MIUI EEA.
Flash ok..
Very thanks!
I installed EEA. Have hard time to sign in to google in the beginning...but I found way around...

Hi there, i've just got my CN rom 13 ultra but can't proceed with unlock and flash because of certain issues.
1) I can't use the latest Miunlock version because it gets detected as a virus by McAfee. The version i'm currently on is 6.5.224.28, is that sufficient for 13 ultra?
2) On Miflash i'm told to install certain things, how do i find them for download? I could click on continue but i don't know if it'd work properly nor would i like to risk bricking my new phone due to some unforeseen errors.

Also, has anybody tested out the camera system? Mine seems to use the same lens for 1x 3.2x and 5x zoom, no idea if it's a CN rom thing....
EDIT: unchecking "auto adjust lens" fixed that

Correct the path.
For the error create an empty TXT file of the same name.
Thanks, i opened the newest MiFlash without issue. I have a mi account tied to my current xiaomi phone, should i continue to register a new account, which will remove the previous one? Will that render my current phone unusable?

Why use the other account (explanations)?
I'm not sure, but i probably used the same email to either attempt to flash another phone or for my current phone, i can't remember which, as i am using now to log into MiUnlock.
what would happen if i proceed, will i lose ability to use any of my current phones?

The answer is indicated in the screenshot.
Not exactly, it says i won't be able to access the account, not unable to use the phone itself. Now i can't remember if a xiaomi account needs to exist and be tied with a phone for it to be fully usable
