This is my first time rooting an Android device and currently, I'm really stuck on this process and I would like to seek for help.
(this is the video link I followed the instructions from)
https://www.recovery-mode.com/root/...xy-a50-android-11-with-twrp-3-5-0-magisk.html (this is the scripted tutorial)
Currently I'm stuck on the 7th part where you have to instal a zip file from twrp recovery and I am not too sure how to download the file and how to install the file on my phone.
Could you guys help me solve this problem?
Thank you.

Hello,
I've been trying to post on the PitchBlack thread (it's on development forum!) and I do not have access to it. I've tried to flash the rom for more than 6 times now and can't get it to work.
I've followed the instructions exactly laid out :
1. Wiped everything (including system/cache/dalvik) and reset the phone
2. I flash the zip, it loads, I setup the phone, everything is fine.
As per the instructions we must restart the phone after going to menu>settings and then flash the settings.zip. Which I did too, but it ends up in a bootloop to me no matter how I do it. (it first says "Android is upgrading" for a second before it restarts on a boot-loop)
At my 6th try, I didn't flash the settings.zip and continued using the phone, but it restarted on its own and ended up in a boot-loop too. I've verified both files and the MD5 is correct.
I'm really out of ideas and would highly appreciate if someone could give me the right pointers here..
Regards.
Hello everybody,
I have a serious problem. I did the update to lollipop, installed CWM und tried to root the system. Obviously, I did something wrong and now the system does not boot anymore. Booting delivers the Sony string on the screen, for ever and ever. At the moment, I can only use fastboot. Since I never had such a situation, I do not know how I can come to a booting system from this state. Could perhaps somebody give me a hint how to proceed? I tried Google, but problem is, that "recover fastboot" means I always come to sites telling me to install CWM, but they do not work at my bricked device..
In the hope for a helping advise,
Wumba

yes I encountered same problem after installing 242 prerooted with prf method. Then I installed xposed and probably xprivacy module (not compatible still now with lollipop) caused the bootloop. I couldn't enter recovery, so no zip flash, only fastboot.
I had to start again from sratch . I flashed 108 kitkat firmware (easy to root), then with root I installed dual recovery. Then wipe all and flashed prerooted zip.
Hello,
My phone which is not a dual sim is stuck in a bootloop. I have rooted the phone previously then installed Supersu, however i didn't flash any recovery. About four days ago Supersu ask for an update, so i updated it. Then the app ask to reboot, after i press the reboot button then it is now stuck in a bootloop. I can't reset it now since i didn't flash any recovery inside. Is there any way to fix this now? I tried the Xperia companion software i downloaded but it could not detect my phone.
Same problem
Hi, I had the same issue with my T2 ultra.
I hope you have some backup of your datas, 'cause to solve the problem I had to make a factory reset which made me loose root, so I had to root it again. I followed this tutorial: Sony XPERIA T2 Ultra ROOT and Recovery by Jozinek.
1 hour of work and the phone is alive
After that you have to download SuperSU v. 2.79. In the specific post from Chainfire https://www.xda-developers.com/chainfire-recommends-staying-in-supersu-2-79-for-xperia-users/
I hope I've been useful and don't worry, this method is not difficult as it may seem :good:
Bye
So how can I fix it now? My phone is in the bootloop and I didn't make any backup. I was able to download the firmware from the xperia website but how can I flash that in when I don't have a recovery mode to boot in?

You have to follow this tutorial step by step which allows you to have first root and then to install a recovery:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t2-ultra/general/sony-xperia-t2-ultra-root-recovery-t3213461
First make a factory reset on your phone by opening the sim slot and push the little blue button with something not too sharp. The phone will be turned off.
Then you have to do everything that the tutorial says and the go read the second link that i gave you in the previous post.
If i suggested you this method it's because for me it worked. I'm a newbie myself and i've started some months ago so i'm not an experct but i hope i'm helping you.
If you need more let me know and i can see what i can do.
See you soon, in case
if you got no more options, just use flashtool.
the flashtool won't recognize my phone even though i did installed the drivers.
Got it! Thanks for all the help. I was flashing a wrong firmware.
no need for all that.. just downgrade to SuperSU 2.79
1. go to supersu.com download page
2. download "Recovery V2.79 Flashable.zip"
3. copy it to your SD card root
4. flash it with recovery & you are done
Hello!
I would really appreciate it if someone can help me. I tried to install twrp custom recovery and something went wrong. I can't start up my phone, get into recovery mode, or connect to the pc to try adb and load the boot loader from there. I can however get the phone into download mode and it is recognized in odin tools.
I did a titanium backup of all system apps too which is saved on my sd card.
If someone knows how to help I would very much appreciate it.

You have to google search the firmware for you version of the phone. Mine is A320Y but there is also A320F and others, hopefully you know which one yours is.
Download the firmware then follow the steps for "How to Flash" from the link above. You can fix it, don't worry.
Hey guys,
I'm still around and still using the phone. It has been super difficult to replace this.
Here's the link for the latest Raw - https://bit.ly/3gue9nK
If anyone figures out how to root this, Please let me know as mine doesn't boot with the patched boot image (Flashed over TWRP, Fastboot - or the new Kirisakura 3.2.2). As soon I flash the stock boot image back, It boots without an issue. Cant go for a full wipe as Im super lazy to format it and set it up again from scratch.
If anyone finds a way, Do let me know.
Thanks !
EDIT - Follow the New LINK

Hi there, thank you for the share. I'm a bit new, so forgive me for the dumb question. Can I flash this raw if I am still on an early ww 16 version? I'm looking to go straight to android 10. If I can, do I just put my phone in fast boot and click the flashall CMD file? Because when I do that it seems like nothing happens. I have the cable in the side and the files in C drive (unzipped within the folder)
